00:00Jane Foster, three interesting facts. She received Thor's blessing in his name.

00:04When news broke that there would be a female Thor, many fans were unreasonably outraged.

00:09Thor Odinson himself, who had recently lost the ability to wield Mural Nair,

00:14was also enraged, and he tracked Foster down to retrieve the weapon.

00:18However, Thor soon realized the error of his ways and granted her not only his blessing,

00:23but also permission to use his first name. For the remainder of Foster's tenure as Thor,

00:27he would be known as Odinson. Odinson, the original Thor, armed with Jarnbjorn,

00:32went on a galaxy-spanning quest to prove his worth. Jane Foster really pissed off Odin.

00:39Not the only Norse god to be irritated by Jane Foster's use of Mjolnir. Odin, king of the gods,

00:46sought to find out who was using his old hammer. Odin would stop at nothing to discover Foster's

00:52identity when she first appeared as the new Thor. In an effort to regain Mjolnir, Odin sent his evil

00:59older brother Kol Borsen, aka the Serpent, after Thor. Despite wearing the fabled destroyer armor,

01:06Thor defeated him. Odin eventually came around to Jane Foster as the new wielder of the hammer

01:12after learning the truth. It was not the first time Jane Foster was Thor, although Jane Foster's

01:18time as Thor in the 2010s is undoubtedly the most famous instance of her becoming Thor.

01:23It is not the first time. The 1978 film What If? Glott and Hovrich imagine a world in which Jane

01:29Foster, not Donald Blake, finds the walking stick that transforms its user into Thor in issue number

01:3410. Foster wielded Mjolnir and fought many of Thor's classic enemies, including the stone men of Saturn,

01:41Mr. Hyde, and the radioactive man. In the end, she relinquishes the power of Thor,
