00:11You know, we now control the Hormuz Strait and we have many boats going through that every day,
00:18every night. Many, many boats loaded up with oil.
00:24President Trump repeating his claim that the U.S. controls the Strait of Hormuz
00:28after fresh fighting spiked energy prices and rekindled fears of an open-ended war.

00:38John, Trump now saying the renewed U.S. attacks on Iran are likely to be shot-lived.
00:43Iran may have other ideas, you'd think.
00:46No, exactly. So far, we haven't heard from U.S. forces of any strikes today,
00:51but that doesn't mean that things can go back and forth between the tit-for-tat retaliatory strikes.
00:57We've been down that road before.
00:59So what we have seen today is that Kuwait has reported some incoming missile and drone activity.
01:05It said that these things have been intercepted.
01:08But, you know, a return to hostilities or a return to diplomacy, just don't know where it's going to go.
01:14The thing is, the basic matters of the conflict haven't been resolved.
01:18And that's the key problem.
01:21And as this works its way through, we'll probably see more conflict, more periods of decreased tension,
01:28and perhaps we'll see some diplomacy.
01:30But Trump is saying for now, no new strikes or that things are winding down a bit.
01:35We'll see what happens tomorrow.
01:38And, John, also, no clarity on the Strait of Hormuz.
01:42How much oil is getting through?
01:45Yeah, no, we've seen some reports.
01:47CNN was citing some U.S. officials, I think, like 16 to 18 million barrels.
01:51We've had reporting about 6 to 8 million barrels a day, about half of what was pre-war levels.
01:58The thing is, it's just really difficult to find out how much is going through.
02:02There are various things which are going on with the oil.
02:05There's a use of shuttles where tankers waiting outside the Strait are getting loaded in ship-to-ship transfers.
02:13Ships go through the Strait with their transponders off, so it's really difficult to track the movements.
02:20And so from the U.S. side, we usually get numbers which are quite large.
02:24What we've seen in the reporting is we're a tick up over the past few days and weeks and about
02:31half of pre-war levels.
02:33So, yeah, it's difficult to say, but there is some activity and oil is making its way through.
