00:13Heighton on the 8th of March. Mr Lynch was said to have suffered serious injuries to his eye.
00:18The case was due to be heard this week at Liverpool Crown Court, but Judge David Potter
00:24adjourned the trial until the 8th of March, 2027. It's expected to last two weeks.
00:31Barton was remanded in custody and is due to appear at a bail application hearing on Monday.
00:37The alleged attack is said to have happened after Barton had been drinking with Mr Lynch.
00:42Barton denies the charge.
