00:00It's happening. We finally have the date, the time, the place, all of the information
00:04about Apple's next big event, really next big iPhone event. They're calling it Surprise
00:10and Shine. We have an invite. We know it's on September 9th at 10 AM Pacific, 1 PM ET,
00:17and later in the afternoon in Europe. But we're about to dig into what we expect from
00:24Apple's, probably one of Apple's biggest events of the year. Oh, did I mention I'm going?
00:30That's right, I'll be there. Okay, so this is now called, we know officially it's called
00:33the Surprise and Shine event. What does that mean? Well, we don't know, except the fact
00:38that it says Surprise. We're so excited about that. But really what we're thinking here is
00:42we know that there's going to be some iPhone 18, probably not the base iPhone 18, an iPhone
00:4718 Pro and a Pro Max. Maybe the iPhone 18 comes a little later. But what we're really curious
00:53about, what we're really excited about is the iPhone Ultra. What is that?
00:58Okay, the iPhone Ultra might be Apple's first foldable iPhone. And a lot of people believe
01:03it's going to be about the same size and shape as a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. Maybe that's
01:09partially because we believe that Samsung is the one who supplies the base screen technology.
01:13But we will see, because this should be the big moment. And the other big moment that's
01:19happening here is a brand new CEO for Apple and his first big presentation. The event on September
01:279th is taking place just eight days after this guy, John Ternus takes over for Tim Cook, who is
01:32leaving the role of CEO after 15 years. And Ternus is going to have the opportunity to hold up what
01:38we expect to be that folding iPhone. But what else will he be showing us? There are so many other
01:43products that might be stuffed or crammed into this big September 9th event. So what are some of the
01:48other products we're expecting? We're expecting new Apple Watches, a Series 12 and a new Apple Watch
01:52Ultra. We're expecting new AirPods. We're also expecting possibly a new HomePod mini and even
01:58a new Apple TV device. That's the box, not the service. I don't expect them to talk very much
02:03about the service. All of that's going to happen in the space of probably an hour and a half on
02:07September
02:089th. One other thing that's going to happen at the big event is that it's going to be the finalization
02:12of all of the OSes. You know, iOS 27, tvOS 27, iPadOS 27, Tahoe for macOS, all of that. And
02:22what's
02:22really important about that is it's going to be the moment where they say, Siri AI is ready for you.
02:28And hopefully it's not just a wait list. Maybe everyone will get it with the new phone a few
02:33weeks later and get it with their new devices. But in any case, it's going to be a very big
02:37moment
02:37for Apple and their AI strategy. So let's keep an eye on that. Finally, while we wait for the
02:42countdown to the big day, we have been examining this invite very, very closely and we've zeroed
02:47in on this. So of course, there's kind of a circle going on there and that might represent the big
02:51ring at the Apple campus. But then also this little shaft of light here, is that like almost like
02:58this, a folding device? Am I crazy? I don't know. But you know, it's fun to look at this thing.
03:04We have
03:04eight days till countdown, but stick with TechRadar.com because we are going to be at the event
03:10and we're going to be reporting live there. And we're going to have our whole team covering it
03:13on the ground, wherever they are. Want to get the most out of TechRadar? Be sure to sign up for
