Netanyahu says toppling Iran's regime is Israel's 'main mission'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says bringing down Iran’s government has become Israel’s central objective as the conflict continues to escalate.

Speaking in Tel Aviv alongside senior Israeli defense and military officials, Netanyahu said Israel believes the Iranian leadership has become increasingly vulnerable after months of fighting. He described regime change as the country’s “main mission” and said the goal is now “within reach.”

“I am convinced of our ability to remove this threat once and for all ... that is, to topple this regime,” Netanyahu said.

He also argued that Iran’s leadership is “weaker than ever” and “fighting for its life,” portraying the regime as increasingly under pressure.

Netanyahu delivered a direct warning to Iran, saying, “Do not mess with us. We have the strength, the determination and the internal unity to defeat you.”

His remarks signal that regime change in Tehran is now being openly presented as a key Israeli war objective.
