00:00I think we're also going to get a ton of points here for the U.
00:05Now, you and I are South Florida junkies, so you and I spent some time here.
00:09And I think that, you know, Mario Cristobal changed the perspective of Miami a little bit
00:15last season, making it to the national championship game and coming up a little bit short.
00:21I love Darian Menza.
00:23I love everything they've done.
00:25I, Miami is not a one-off.
00:28So anybody thinking Miami was just lucky last year and then is going to, you know, they're
00:32going to disappear.
00:34I hate to say it, Craig, but I think the U is back.
00:37And I think it's great for college football if that's the case.
00:40And it doesn't hurt that they're in a weak ACC conference, because I think Miami is going
00:46to steamroll their way back to the postseason and maybe another shot at a national championship.
00:52I think so, too.
00:53I think Miami will compete.
00:55Pete, the only issue that we talk about when we talk about the Hurricanes, Joe, is that
01:00there's going to be a minimum of one and most likely two games where late in the game, Miami
01:05should be winning by 40 and they're losing.
01:08And will they win those games?
01:10And that has been the MO for the Hurricanes.
01:12They ended up pulling those games out last year.
01:14And they actually lost a couple of easy ones, too, and somehow got into the national championship
01:20because Cristobal, I think, finally figured out how to win some late games.
01:25I would not say Miami is a shoe-in by any means.
01:28We've seen Hurricanes before under Cristobal lose easy games.
01:34So we'll see.
01:36I don't expect them to fall Friday night, but I do think there will be a game.
01:42I don't know when it'll be, October, November, Joe, where you and I will be talking about
01:45the Hurricanes, like, how did they possibly lose?
01:47All they had to do was kneel the ball, you know, and they ended up losing.
01:50That has sort of been what's happened with Cristobal.
01:54Yeah, it has.
01:57And I think they made some adjustments.
02:00I think he, you know, Greg, we see it all the time, right, especially college football,
02:05but coaches, you've got to evolve or die, right?
02:08It can't always be my way or the highway, and it doesn't work.
02:12And I have a feeling Dabo is heading that way, Mr.
02:15I don't want to participate in the transfer portal.
02:18We don't do it that way.
02:20Yeah, that's, you know, the game is going to pass you by here.
02:24I think Cristobal put a lot more on his coordinators last year, finally,
02:28took a lot of the responsibility of kind of being the CEO and let those guys handle it.
02:34And I think the results were fantastic here.
