00:00Namaskara, I am taking you to a classroom where for two days the Chief Minister of Kerala
00:06and his entire cabinet will be sitting here and deliberating on what we have described
00:12as reimagining Kerala.
00:15What this means is that after 15 years since the Uman Chandni government came here to do
00:21a one-day conversation with us on leadership, this will be for the second time in a row
00:28that IIM Coricode is hosting the entire cabinet of Kerala including the Chief Minister as
00:34a social and national responsibility of helping the state leadership to envision a future which
00:41will take the state on a global space.
00:44We are hoping that global brand of Kerala will respond to the demands and the aspirations
00:51of a whole generation of new people who are now going to inherit the mantle of running
00:57this country.
00:58IIM Coricode's vision is Vision 2047, Kerala has a vision as well and we want to see that
01:05the national vision and the state's vision converge in Kerala's march to a very progressive,
01:12effective global society where the progress is not just going to be about one generation
01:18but multiple generations.
01:20How will the elderly in Kerala find a space in this state?
01:26How will people from around the country will come here for wellness, for higher education?
01:31How will Kerala solve its climate disasters and the problems arising out of it?
01:37How will Kerala look at migration?
01:40How will Kerala look at higher education and how can this state become a hub for higher education?
01:47And these are some of the concerns that we are going to be deliberating for a day and
01:51a half and I can assure you that my faculty and IIM Coricode and the staff and the students
01:59are eagerly looking forward to seeing how we can pass on some of our knowledge of running
02:05or advising global enterprises to the doorsteps of the Kerala cabinet.
02:10Likewise, we want to learn how governance in Kerala can benefit from the hindsight wisdom
02:16of institutions such as ours and what we can learn from these politicians who are managing
02:21a far greater responsibility in managing the state.
02:24And so this is going to be a two-way conversation.
02:26It will be a dialogue.
02:27It will be an exercise in exploring possibilities for Kerala and the country in the service of
02:34Kerala.
