Does your Windows PC or laptop randomly turn on by itself in the middle of the night? 🛑👻

It is not haunted! A micro-vibration from your desk vibrating your mouse, a rogue network card ping (Wake-on-LAN), or a scheduled Windows update task is triggering your PC to exit sleep mode.

Here is how to track down the exact hardware waking your PC and disable it permanently:

👉 Step 1: Find What Just Woke It Up
1. Press Windows Key + R, type "cmd", and hit Enter.
2. Type:
powercfg -lastwake
3. Windows will display the exact device, timer, or service that triggered the last wake event!

👉 Step 2: See Every Device Allowed to Wake Your PC
1. In the same CMD window, type:
powercfg /devicequery wake_armed
2. This lists every mouse, keyboard, network adapter, and controller that has permission to wake your PC.

👉 Step 3: Disable the Culprit
1. Press Windows Key + X ➔ select "Device Manager".
2. Find the culprit device from your CMD list.
3. Right-click it ➔ "Properties" ➔ go to the "Power Management" tab.
4. UNCHECK: "Allow this device to wake the computer".
5. Hit OK!
