00:04Hi, I'm Vardy Henson. I'm from Bulleye. I'm here with my daughter Hazel. Being a parent to me means
00:14just coming to terms with giving up all your hopes and dreams. And I think once you do that,
00:21parenting is awesome. I think it's really a struggle for people who hang on to things that
00:26they want to do for themselves. Their hopes and dreams. Their hopes and dreams. What about you,
00:31Hazel? What are you going to tell this guy on Father's Day? Happy Father's Day. You're such a
00:36great dad. I love you so much. We do a lot of exercise together and really bond over that.
00:42So it's been so fun, like growing my abilities and our blonde. We train together for running
00:49other sports. Who's faster? I used to be faster. I stopped for a year and now he's miles ahead.
00:56Give it two or three months. I reckon she'll have me there.
00:59Yeah, my name's Ed Burse and I'm here with my son, Albert, who's in year 11 here at Whisper.
01:08Fatherhood just means having a great relationship with your child. It's been the best thing that's
01:16ever happened to me. And that wouldn't be possible without you. So that's pretty good. Has it changed
01:23over the years? I think, um, yeah, I definitely think so. I think it is more, uh, relational these
01:28days and that there's more of a, you know, two way learning experience. You know, I don't,
01:35I think in back in my day, it was more about, yeah, just, it was, I think it's a bit
01:41more difficult
01:41for dads back in my day, um, where, where they have a lot more pressures. Um, maybe I'm wrong.
01:49But I, I think it's, I think it's much healthier relationships these days that I see
01:53between dads and their kids, you know, uh, or much more humor.
01:58Yeah. Right. Okay.
01:59And Albert, what do you think, mate? What are you going to tell this guy on Father's Day?
02:02Um, well, that he's a great dad. I love spending time with him, hanging out, building a greenhouse
02:09together. So it's all good fun. Yeah. I'm just giving it a go. I think he's, he's a very good
02:15dad. And we have lots of adventures together. So love you.
02:20So I'm Stuart Wilkinson and this is my daughter, Lucy. Uh, what fatherhood means to me, uh, I think
02:26it's more important than ever at this point in time to have father or father figures in our lives.
02:31Um, it helps very much, I hope, um, set a course for, uh, our children to be there,
02:37to be, uh, loving and kindness to them. Um, and I think today is a great example of that from
02:42a
02:42school community, uh, where fathers come together, uh, father figures are coming together, uh, to be
02:47able to support each other and support our, our children as they're coming through a great school
02:51that's whisper. Um, but yeah, in this day and age, I know my father's experience with his father's
02:56changed to what it is now. Uh, so the more that we can keep changing that generational piece
03:01to, to be there for our kids. And in this day and age, I think there's more opportunity to do
03:06that.
03:06Uh, and really leaning into that and providing those opportunities.
03:09What do you want to tell your dad on father's day?
03:12Well, I love you very much and I hope you have a great day celebrating you.
03:18Read the script well.
03:19See.
03:21My name is Yousef, Big Delhi. I'm father of twins Yasin and Sodyan. I'm very happy to be here.
03:29Father, father means a lot. I don't, I can't say in a sentence, but thanks for everything.
03:35Thanks for the environment you provided. I'm enjoying and that's the first time I've been here.
03:40So I love it. Yeah, cool. What about you Yasin? He, he made me mini. Yeah, that's it for me.
03:51That's pretty cool. What are you going to tell your dad on father's day?
03:55That I love him and um, I grew up with him so yeah. And um, father's day means a lot.
04:08My name is Lotso. I'm here with my son Ari and fatherhood means sharing my life with my son,
04:16experiencing the world with him and um, really preparing him for, for his life being here.
04:21I know, I think fatherhood is just sort of learning like through his past experiences
04:26and everything. Um, becoming a man through how he's taught me and I get, it's changed from
04:35him, him raising me to now, him letting me go out into the world and sort of experience my own
04:40life.
04:41Uh, it's like, you know, I move into like my seven years and everything like that. Yeah.
04:46My name's Dahir and this is my dad.
04:50And uh, can you tell us, what does, what does daddyhood mean to you?
04:55Um, I think it means like coming when like it's meaningful, like now
05:00and like showing off and helping me with his homework as well. And we do woodwork together at
05:06Chrome. Of course. And he needs a lot of sleep. And um, him being it. Really, yeah.
05:16And uh, so Phil, uh, yeah, what's fatherhood mean to you? And has it changed from generation to generation?
05:23I've definitely changed since my father, really there, but I'm, I'm changing it.
05:30uh, so I'll miss it.
05:31Yeah.
05:35Yeah.
05:40Yeah.
05:40You
