The ES is a true Lexus original. It was introduced in 1989, alongside the LS sedan, coinciding with the brand's launch. Since then, more than three million units have been sold worldwide.
In Europe, the ES's history is more recent: It was introduced in 2018 with the seventh generation as a full hybrid and has since established itself as an attractive sedan in the premium segment.
Although the new ES has grown in all dimensions, the Clean Tech x Elegance design concept conveys a sleek and elegant appearance. At the same time, comfort, build quality, and high-quality features are approaching the level of larger luxury models. Both the hybrid and battery-electric variants also offer a driving experience characterized by exceptional comfort, control, and confidence – the essence of the Lexus Driving Signature.
The new Lexus ES was developed at the Lexus Technology Center in Shimoyama, Japan, where teams from planning, design, and engineering worked closely together to thoroughly test and refine the vehicle.
