00:00Please, with Mike's on the other side, and we'll set the model apart at 3 for 10.30pm this evening.
00:05We'll start with Mark, thank you.
00:09Hi Enzo. Enzo Fernandes is one of those players that seems to split opinion and divide football fans.
00:16Why was he someone you were so desperate to work with again?
00:21I know Enzo quite well. I know what he can bring to the team.
00:25He's a winner. He has a winner mentality. He knows how to win. World Cup, Club World Cup.
00:36And the main thing is that, again, he's a winner.
00:40You spoke about wanting to bring another captain into your group. Does he fit that role as well?
00:46No. The captain is Ruben, Erling, Margey and Gigi Donnarumma.
00:51Can I ask you about Eliminum die as well from Everton, another of your deadline day signings.
00:56What excites you so much about him? I can see you smiling already at the question.
01:00It's so good. It's so good.
01:03In the last two days, you can see already how good it is.
01:07In terms of 1v1, in terms of the last bird inside the box.
01:11I'm very happy to have you with us.
01:14Enzo, good afternoon.
01:15You mentioned individual signings. With that window now closed, how happy are you with the squad at your disposal?
01:22And just what can you achieve? Are you ready now to compete on all fronts?
01:27I'm very, very happy. Very happy for the effort from the Reino of the Ownership, Kadur, Hugo.
01:36Very happy in the last place, Eliminum and Enzo arrived.
01:43And now the squad is complete. It's finished and now it's time to work.
01:47It's time to work. Up next, Coventry City, of course.
01:51Just to give us a bit of a fitness update in the likes of Jeremy Nunez.
01:55Any other concerns going into this one?
01:56No, Jeremy is still out. Mateus is back. He will be with us tomorrow.
02:02And then in terms of Coventry, these are the games that we need to pay attention.
02:08Fully focused because these are the games that you need 100% focus.
02:15Otherwise, it can be tricky.
02:16I was going to say, just finally, from me on Coventry, what do you expect from them that you don't
02:20necessarily see from an otherwise established Premier League side?
02:24They've just come up. They've placed Arsenal already. It's a bit of a baptism of fire for them already this
02:28season.
02:28No, but I think it's a normal situation when you get promoted.
02:35But you can see clearly in the way they want to play.
02:38I watched some of the last season games, some of the French games when it was Everton and Chelsea, just
02:47to see.
02:49You can see that it's a team that now, you know, they struggle probably because of the Premier League, but
02:57no doubt that they are going to do a good job.
03:02How important is it that you got the support that you did from the owners, from the board?
03:09It's very important. I think it's one of the main things in any football club, when the owner and the
03:18club support the manager.
03:20So I think it's a very good thing.
03:23As far as Frank Lampard, you mentioned him. There are former Manchester City players, former Chelsea managers.
03:28What do you expect from him this season?
03:31I just said, for me, he's going to do, he has done a fantastic job last season, and he's going
03:37to do a good job this season.
03:40Again, I can see clearly what they want to do on the ball and off the ball, and no doubt
03:45that tomorrow is going to be a difficult game, because all the Premier League games, they are difficult.
03:50I just wanted to say, for me, is Enzo ready to come straight in?
03:54Enzo is the best.
03:59Hi, Enzo.
04:00Another one on Enzo, if that's OK.
04:03On Enzo Fernandes, he might rime up the opposition players and fans, but is he someone that the teammates love
04:12to have around?
04:13Yes, absolutely.
04:15Absolutely.
04:15Again, I just said he's a winner, and when you belong to a squad, and another winner player arrives, they
04:28are always happy.
04:30I can promise you that in the last four or five days, four or five players from the squad, they
04:34were asking, is he coming, is he not?
04:37Because they want him to be with us, so it's very important that he is with us, and we are
04:45100% happy with that.
04:47Is he someone you targeted as soon as you came in?
04:52Again, someone that is available, we see it.
04:56It's important that he is here with us.
04:58And with Omar Maboush gone, there's no sort of natural backup, and is that something you are comfortable with?
05:06Well, yes, we have different options, one can be there, we can play, it depends on the game plan, but
05:12we can also use different players in that position.
05:18The versatility in the squad, you've got players like Niko O'Reilly, you can fill in a number of positions,
05:22is that part of the thinking behind your recruitment?
05:26Yeah, it is part of that, but it's also, I said since the one, that is something that I like,
05:32because we can, you know, just play a different position, when one player can cover different positions, it's like to
05:37have more players.
05:39You know, as you said, Niko can be full-back, attacking the field at different positions, it's like to have
05:45two trade players, but at the end it's one player, so it's good to be versatile, because we can use
05:50them, depends on the game plan, we can use them in different positions.
05:55Just let Enzo Fernandes again, it was quite late in the day when it was confirmed, quite close to the
06:0011 o'clock deadline, were you ever concerned at any point that maybe the deal wasn't going to happen?
06:07I was, I think the day before the window transfer close, we had the game pass away, so that helps
06:13a lot, because I was quite focused on that game, but then the day after happened, and we are all
06:19happy.
