00:00Oh, buckle up folks. The main event has arrived. Flyweight Muay Thai, Kun Panoi, meets Sun Bo.
00:07Sun Bo, 10 years younger. The height identical. Sun Bo, slightly heavier on the scales. Thailand, meets Thailand.
00:20Coming off, a head kick. Round three, knockout with a bonus in his last outing.
00:27Sun Bo returns here to this main event. The 23-year-old based at Tidek Kao Kao here in Bangkok.
00:34A comeback win in his last outing. Absolutely electrifying.
00:42The veteran Kun Panoi from a family of fighters, one of eight siblings we've mentioned.
00:51You know, obviously time and time again, his older brother, Saxon, fighting definitely in the bloodline.
00:58He fights for his own family, his three sons and their education. He's got a hundred...
01:05Used in combat by the old warriors of the kingdom of Siam to protect the king.
01:10And then in times of peace, they used it for fitness, healthy training for the king's guards.
01:16And then now they perform this ceremony to pay respect to all that tradition and history
01:20and respect to their coaches and trainers and their... anybody who's helped them along the way, sir.
01:25A hundred thousand dollar contract into the big leagues of one championship,
01:28main event Muay Thai, flyweight Muay Thai. Kun Panoi in the black trunks,
01:32coming out in southpaw against Sunbo. A very, very well-rounded and dangerous striker.
01:41Kun Panoi always ready, letting that left kick...
01:45Off guard. Kun Panoi has just a beautiful way of setting up his left kick without even having
01:51to throw anything in front of it. Just all off of rhythm or offbeat timing, half beats.
02:03When it comes to the left leg of Kun Panoi, now Sunbo stepping in.
02:12I like that movement. That's a great way to step through.
02:16Good with the check there as well. Kun Panoi maybe a little bit behind
02:22as Sunbo started to change his game plan.
02:24When Sunbo. Checking a good amount of them.
02:29Curious to see how he approaches this fight. He's got all the skills, you know,
02:32whether he tries to go kick for kick. Is he gonna look to clinch elbow right now?
02:37Going technique for technique. Cross hook, stepping out, landing his right kick.
02:43Kun Panoi stepping through there with the straight right, followed by the left hook to the body.
02:49A little bit different. I like that adjustment as well.
02:52Following there. Left kick against Sunbo. Answers back, but Kun Panoi quick with that left hand.
02:59Once more, big body shots have been the focus really for Kun Panoi a lot this round.
03:06One more left kick at the Belolivier cost. Chucking his foot away to one championship.
03:17Sarah, what would you be telling Sunbo if you were in his corner over there how to take this fight
03:23going forward?
03:25I like this, how he's doubling things up. It's gonna be a matter of getting out of the way.
03:32His footwork backwards has been nice, but you can't always rely on that. So cutting some of those angles away
03:37from the power side is definitely
03:39going to be key. And it will allow him to hit the power once more.
03:44Another accidental low blow. I think that one might have hit a little bit harder there on the right corner
03:49to make sure everything's good. Sunbo, you know, he gets...
03:53That often with guys like this, both of them so experienced, just that open stance matchup,
03:58but they're still maybe in a bit of a feeling phase as it was back and forth in round one
04:02now.
04:03They choose to start going upstairs with their rear power kicks.
04:08Yeah, and I think, you know, Sunbo going a bit more forward than he has in previous fights.
04:12He's still not, I wouldn't say he's pressing, but he's standing his landed landing in that first round as well,
04:18focusing on the body. Sunbo continuing to step through higher that right kick again and again.
04:27Now Kumpa Noi has the edge back to getting that last shot. Nice, doubling up those kicks.
04:34And he's throwing those kicks just straight up and short. He's not even stepping that much with the lead leg,
04:39so he's not giving Kumpa Noi much of a tell. He's just running up the score. Very creative.
04:46Wow. Well, and the reason he can do that is because Kumpa Noi is moving forward,
04:50so he doesn't really need to step, which again allows him to counter quickly.
04:55And for me, it's too close to call, but it's almost like each round has been 50-50.
05:00Like, I don't know that I would give either round to either one of them, but it's just so close,
05:05it's hard to call that. But Kumpa Noi is starting this well. I like the way that he's coming out.
05:11I could have kicked your head. I didn't. I kicked over it. Um, and Sunbo is doing a nice job
05:16standing
05:16in there, standing and banging. I think if he was moving back, he could score more against him.
05:21But Kumpa Noi, being the aggressor, isn't able to push him around that much.
05:25This is giving me flashbacks of a few weeks ago on all cylinders like that. It's pretty hard
05:31to find an answer around it. He's just... Sunbo has an answer for everything that Kumpa Noi is
05:37bringing. He's studying him very well, just implementing his game plan beautifully.
05:43But still, this is just such a back-and-forth fight, Sarah.
05:46Yeah, insane.
05:48Just a fight that is too close for me to call. This is just back-and-forth. Both these guys
05:54just
05:54putting on a show, a real treat. High, high, the highest level. Muay Thai here, which is why this
06:00hit the main event. What a fight between the veteran Kumpa Noi and just a talented and skilled Sunbo
06:10just firing on all cylinders. Yeah, that was a beautiful part. Judge number one calls this
06:16contest in favor of Sunwo. Judge number two calls this contest in favor of Kumpa Noi. And judge number
06:25three calls this contest in favor of your winner by split decision. Sunwo!
06:39Sunwo!
