00:24In ancient times, the Greeks greatly believed in these epics of the past.
00:27But then, did Ulysses exist?
00:31No, because mythology is a collection of legends.
00:34Ulysses is famous for having had the idea, during the Trojan War,
00:37to hide inside a giant wooden horse with his army
00:41to attack the Trojans by surprise.
00:44The Odyssey recounts his adventures to reach the island of Ithaca,
00:48of which he is king, and where his wife Penelope and his son Telemac await him.
00:52The god Poseidon does everything he can to prevent Odysseus from returning home.
00:56because he blinded his son Polyphemus, the Cyclops.
01:00Ulysses then wanders on the Mediterranean Sea and faces many dangers.
