00:00First of all, these were two top 10 teams coming into the season with Clemson as a top five team.

01:13But it's important to understand that what he once was, was arguably the best coach in college football.
01:17Was the guy who felt like maybe had Nick Saban's number, which was not even necessarily possible.
01:22That was not an option to have Nick Saban's number.

01:34I think getting 10 and a half with a Clemson team in a year two of the Tom Allen defense,

02:12They got two good running backs in Gideon Davidson and Chris Johnson.
02:15I mean, last year they were the 105th ranked rushing team, but that will improve as well.
02:20And I'm not a Sam Levitt fan either because I look at the numbers and it's like, what exactly did

02:26I understood he got Arizona State to the playoff, but I think my kid's sixth grade team could have won
02:31the Big 12 that year.
02:32So let's not give him too much credit.
02:34But this is not a guy who, like, he threw for less than 3,000 yards in the Big 12.

03:20One of the other pieces to remember on Sam Levitt, and I'm not trying to crush the kid, but here's

03:29Wasn't their first choice.
03:31We all know that that was Devin Williams out of Washington.
03:34That is on the record and reported.
03:37And I got to wonder if Lane feels like they capitulated a little bit on Washington threatening to sue with
03:43all this court stuff.
03:44I wonder if they could have just lawyered up and kept Devin Williams somehow in Baton Rouge.
03:50And it's funny that the different, listen, you know, it's maybe, you know, different flavors for different people.
03:55Like Devin Williams was the quarterback of LSU.
03:58I might be holding an LSU national title ticket.
