Malaysia’s multiracial society will always need diverse leaders to represent its communities, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

Speaking at “The Legacy 2.0: The Flame Lives On” all-star charity concert organised by the Terengganu MCA state liaison committee on Saturday (Sep 5), Dr Wee said the party would continue defending racial harmony regardless of changes in the political landscape.

00:18Dr. Wee said the party would always defend its principle of protecting racial harmony,
00:22regardless of how the Malaysian political landscape evolves.

01:00The concert dinner, themed Legacy, Passing on the Flame, Voices Across the Land,
01:06was organized by the Trenganoo MCA State Liaison Committee.
01:10About 100 Trenganoo MCA members, together with leaders from the state's eight MCA branches
01:16and federal party leaders, attended the event.
01:19Dr. Wee commended the Trenganoo MCA State Liaison Committee for the concert's success
01:24and expressed hope that the party would strengthen its presence in the state and nationwide.
01:45Dr. Wee noted that although MCA won several seats in the recent Johor and Negri Sembilan polls,
01:50the party still faces many challenges ahead, particularly in the upcoming Malacca election and GE16.
01:56The government should be moving faster.
01:59We should be pushing all the good people out there.
02:14Meanwhile, Trenganoo MCA State Liaison Committee Chairman Datuk Dr. Mona Ong-Siu-Siu said the party must thoroughly study pass,
02:22which currently administers the state, to formulate better strategies for the coming election.
02:38She said Parsi's growth over its 75-year history had been built through strong and deep engagement with the community,
02:45which had enhanced its ideological influence.
02:48As a member of the International Council, we must research this party.
02:54We must be close to it and understand it.
02:58Research against the enemy does not believe that we recognize the enemy.
03:04The right of the enemy does not mean that we are concerned about the enemy.
03:10It is the opposite.
03:11It is the right to decide the enemy's advantage.
