00:01As the Ebola epidemic continues to spread through eastern DR Congo,
00:06the death toll now stands at more than 3,000 people.
00:09Because of the risk of contagion, victims have to be buried in accordance with strict protocols.
00:16It's difficult and dangerous work.
00:22Burials during this Ebola outbreak are very complicated.
00:26We're racing against time and there are many deaths.
00:30So many people are dying.
00:32Here in Eturu province, at the epicentre of the outbreak,
00:36the burial team faces numerous risks,
00:39including exposure to the virus and attacks from people wanting to reclaim the bodies of their loved ones.
00:47Most of the time we face threats and most of the time these threats are verbal.
00:52It also happens often that they're physical, but less so because as time goes on,
00:58people are beginning to understand what this is all about.
01:03Health authorities are racing to contain the outbreak,
01:07but community scepticism combined with ongoing conflict in the region is making their work even harder.
01:13Earlier this week, M23 rebels, who control parts of North and South Kivu,
01:19said a new case of the virus had been confirmed in an area previously declared Ebola-free.
01:25So many of us have been confirmed by the swiftly flesh and entبل this week.
01:25I'm wondering if we're going to continue walking through the crisis.
01:26Let's see what challenges do we?
01:27We are lucky.
01:27We are lucky.
01:27We are lucky.
