00:07election in Saxony and halted by a very wide margin. According to initial projections,
00:14the AfD has secured 44.5% of the vote. This is the party's best result to date. Sigmund

00:27According to projections, the Christian Democratic Union, led by incumbent minister President
00:33Sven Schulz, is at just 18.5%. This is the worst result for the Christian Democrats in this state.
00:41He had ruled out a coalition with the AfD. Voter turnout was much higher than in the last state
00:48elections in Saxony and Holt five years ago, and the left is in third place with 9.5%.
