00:21Members of Melbourne's western suburbs community that have been calling for years to have the
00:27western freeway upgraded.
00:28The $550 million plan would see upgrades to interchanges at Ferris Road, Leakes Road
00:35and Hopkins Road and a new interchange at Mount Cottrell Road connecting the Thornhill housing
00:41estate to the freeway.
00:42The announcement comes more than a year since the federal government pledged $1.1 billion
00:48to fix the road.

01:04As Labor promises better roads the opposition is focusing on health in hard to staff regional
01:11areas.
01:12Promising $10,000 bonuses for healthcare workers willing to move within the state and up to
01:18$10,000 more for each year they stay in the role.
01:21To make sure that doctors, nurses, dentists, midwives and allied health professionals can
01:29be attracted to our regions.
01:30The battle for Victorian hearts and minds well underway.
