The sounds of revving engines have been bouncing around the MacDonnell Ranges this weekend during the Red Centre NATS festival in Alice Springs. With drag races, burnout competitions and a massive street parade, the event has something for every kind of speed demon.

00:20I'm here at the Roll Racing Sessions for this year's Red Centre Nats and it's all burnouts,
00:25smoke and smiles as people line up to race each other up and down this stretch of bitumen.
00:31The drivers and the riders are having a ball, you forget over the 12 months how wonderful
00:36this is and when we all get back together in Alice, it's just great.
00:40And down at the dirt drags, dust flying.
