00:32I think 97% or 98% of players were playing one-handed backhand.
00:37And it's literally like the 2% now, the 3%.
00:41So it has reverted the other way around of what it used to be.
00:48Look, tennis, tennis will always be tennis.
00:52And regardless of whether there are single-handers out there or double,
00:56it doesn't really matter.
00:58Like, if the tour is dominated by double-handed backhands,

01:01It's just that I feel it's such a traditional classic shot
01:04that it's such a shame to lose a shot like that.

01:24I feel like tennis used to have a lot of personalities,
01:27a lot of different personalities back in the day.
01:30We still have personalities.
01:32Like, even the young guys today, they differ from each other.
01:35They have their own style.
01:36They have their own way of hitting the ball.
01:38But I feel like tennis used to be played with so many different variations of style.
01:44And that variation of style has narrowed to one particular style these days
01:49where everyone is kind of playing the same.
01:51You know, courts have become slower.
01:53Everyone is revolving around kind of the same game.
01:57And you don't see many personalities on the court in regards of, like,
02:03we used to have the serve and volley players back in the day.
02:05We used to have those that, you know, used to play a specific different way,
02:11counter punchers, defenders.
02:12And I feel like now it's kind of, it has narrowed to, like, one style of game.
02:16And I think that's what makes tennis so interesting
02:19and what it used to make it so interesting
02:21because you had, you know, those that played a specific way
02:24and others that played another way.
02:27And it's kind of the same with a one-handed backhand.
