00:00Can we talk about the most unexpected piece of music in it?
00:02Which was the Django Reinhardt style interpretation of the Mandalorian theme?
00:08Hugo Durant's Snack Shack.
00:09Hugo Durant's, is that the name of it?
00:11Snack Shack.
00:12Snack Shack, his food pod.
00:14Hugo Durant, the character voiced by Martin Scorsese.
00:17You came up with a great piece of music.
00:19It felt like something that would not have been in Star Wars before.
00:24Whoa!
00:25That's quite an impressive denomination. I'm not sure I've got change for that.
00:28You can keep the change.
00:29I'm new to these parts.
00:31I can use some information.
00:33For this price, I'll tell you whatever you want.
00:36So the story behind that is the way that Scorsese's character was just moving and so impulsive and fast.
00:44It just felt like it needed that kind of high energy music.
00:48Yes, off on the radio. So it's diegetic.
00:50Yeah, exactly.
00:50And it's off an AM radio in there, which we had room for, I think, because of the style.
00:55But you had actually written that piece before we laid it in there.
00:58You would present it.
00:59That's what's interesting about you.
01:01You'll sometimes just record something, and you'll feel drawn to it, not necessarily even knowing where it would fit, not
01:07doing its picture.
01:08And then that's when we listened to that.
01:10And you had a few other pieces.
01:11There was an interpretation of the armorer's theme that you did, which was amazing.
01:15And as we listened to it, it's like, and so much of what Star Wars is, because people have a
01:19very strong opinion about what should or should not be at Star Wars.
01:23People have grown up with it. It's been around for 50 years, 49 years, 50 years.
01:26That's why we used to play it for Filoni.
01:28Filoni. And when Filoni heard it, he's like, this is cool.
01:32And when we figured out that it should be playing on the radio in Hugo Durant's food pod was cool.
01:38But then we also, as we were putting together the score suites, and should we put this at the end
01:43of the film just clean?
01:44And there was a lot of hand-wringing, like, is it, usually you have score and something uplifting, and like,
01:50what if people, I'm like, if they're sitting six minutes to the point that they're going to cure this, they're
01:54into the movie.
01:55They'll give us permission.
01:56And sure enough, I think people really find it, they're charmed by it.
