00:00:09Sorry I'm late, my king.
00:00:21My husband.
00:00:24My fiancé's father.
00:00:28A month ago, I thought I was going to marry Prince Canem.
00:00:33I thought that was my happy ending.
00:00:35Then I found him with Serene, my own sister.
00:00:49Mom!
00:00:54Serene, what have you done?
00:00:56She's our mother!
00:00:58She raised you!
00:00:59And?
00:00:59She fed me, so now I owe her my life.
00:01:02I'm about to be a princess.
00:01:03I don't need low-born trash like you two dragging me down.
00:01:06Once you're both gone, no one will know where I came from.
00:01:11Just some orphan raised by peasants.
00:01:15People like you two don't deserve to watch me rise.
00:01:22She's hurt badly.
00:01:23She may never wake up.
00:01:25Mom, how did this happen?
00:01:28Long live the king!
00:01:30Safe hunt to his majesty!
00:01:43King Seliphon, Calium's father.
00:01:48I'm about to be a princess.
00:01:49I don't need low-born trash like you two dragging me down.
00:01:54Serene,
00:01:56if you don't want to be a princess that badly,
00:02:00then I'll be queen.
00:02:13Stop!
00:02:14Stay back!
00:02:14The king is on a royal hunt.
00:02:16Civilians aren't allowed here.
00:02:18Don't go any farther.
00:02:20There's a monster head.
00:02:24A monster.
00:02:26Those things have been gone for years.
00:02:28Even if one shows up,
00:02:29the king can handle it.
00:02:33Move.
00:02:34You're wasting our time.
00:02:37Well, I warned them.
00:02:39If they still walk into danger,
00:02:40that's their choice.
00:02:45I don't know.
00:03:02What?
00:03:03What was that?
00:03:04Stand your ground.
00:03:06A demon elephant!
00:03:22There really is a monster.
00:03:24That woman was telling the truth.
00:03:27Archers to the sides!
00:03:28Aim for the eyes!
00:03:29Infantry, flank it!
00:03:30Don't let it charge!
00:03:34Don't let it charge!
00:04:12Not so fast.
00:04:37Moon-white wings.
00:04:41Veronica.
00:04:46You killed it.
00:04:48Even after I drove it mad.
00:05:01Two hundred years on the throne.
00:05:03It shows.
00:05:12You saved me.
00:05:14Two broken ribs.
00:05:15Don't move.
00:05:16You're in good shape.
00:05:18As for the rest of you.
00:05:20Enough.
00:05:21You saved my life.
00:05:22I'll reward you.
00:05:23But if you're after something else...
00:05:26Something else?
00:05:27You mean you?
00:05:33Easy.
00:05:34It was a shard from the beast.
00:05:36Leave it in,
00:05:37and the wound festers.
00:05:39And you,
00:05:40don't worry.
00:05:41I'm not interested in men your age.
00:05:43You...
00:05:47Wait!
00:05:48Your wings.
00:05:51What color are they?
00:05:53Moon-white wings are almost unheard of.
00:05:55In five hundred years,
00:05:57only Veronica had them.
00:05:58Could she be?
00:06:01He took the bait.
00:06:06Tell me.
00:06:07Why does it matter?
00:06:14You know what this spell does, right?
00:06:16Once it starts,
00:06:17there's no mercy in it.
00:06:18Queen Veronica had
00:06:19moon-white wings.
00:06:21If I want him to remember me,
00:06:24I need something
00:06:25he can't look away from.
00:06:52And your face.
00:06:54Do you want that change, too?
00:07:08Answer me.
00:07:10What color are your wings?
00:07:12You really want to know that badly?
00:07:14Then tell me why.
00:07:17Can't tell me?
00:07:18Then I have somewhere to be.
00:07:21Wait!
00:07:25Can't let me go.
00:07:28Men are predictable.
00:07:30Give in too soon,
00:07:31and they lose interest.
00:07:37Stay out of reach,
00:07:38and they obsess.
00:07:44My king.
00:07:45We searched all night.
00:07:46No sign of her.
00:07:48No one knows her name.
00:07:50Elana.
00:07:52Elana.
00:07:52Elana.
00:07:53So that's her name.
00:07:55Search the nearby towns.
00:07:57Her name is...
00:07:59Elana.
00:08:08That dagger.
00:08:10Is that the royal crest?
00:08:12Gems like that belong to the king.
00:08:14Is she his lover?
00:08:16Let them talk.
00:08:18The farther it spreads,
00:08:20the better.
00:08:21My father was attacked by a demon elephant?
00:08:24It wasn't easy to find out.
00:08:26But yes,
00:08:27they say he was badly wounded.
00:08:30If he doesn't
00:08:31survive this,
00:08:34I'll be king.
00:08:35Then we should go to the forest camp.
00:08:38We can tell the king about our wedding ourselves.
00:08:57You again.
00:08:59Had your fun.
00:09:01I was just getting started.
00:09:06Looking for me, my king?
00:09:09My dagger.
00:09:10Give it back.
00:09:13Dance with me first.
00:09:19Veronica and I met at a dance, too.
00:09:25She was about this age then.
00:09:27Two hundred years ago.
00:09:29And now I'm old.
00:09:32Thinking of Queen Veronica?
00:09:34Or the youth you can't get back?
00:09:37Men his age don't just want beauty.
00:09:39They want to feel young again.
00:09:41And youth,
00:09:42that's the sweetest poison.
00:09:48Thank you for the dance.
00:09:50You've had practice.
00:09:52In dancing, at least.
00:09:54Who are you?
00:09:55Just a border herbalist.
00:09:57Then why hide your face?
00:09:58A woman alone learns not to draw attention.
00:10:01I'll give back the dagger.
00:10:02But if you want it...
00:10:06Take it yourself.
00:10:10I'd rather see...
00:10:12What you look like.
00:10:16You.
00:10:22You look...
00:10:24Nothing like Veronique.
00:10:26What?
00:10:27Not what you expected.
00:10:31And your face.
00:10:32Do you want that change, too?
00:10:37No.
00:10:38I'm keeping it.
00:10:40Men just like variety.
00:10:41I need him looking at me.
00:10:43Not chasing a dead woman's shadow.
00:10:47A shadow never stands in the light.
00:10:50I thought you'd look...
00:10:52softer.
00:10:53One more dance, Miss Elana?
00:10:57Are you asking me?
00:10:59Or someone else?
00:11:01Why would you say that?
00:11:02When you look at me,
00:11:03it feels like you're seeing someone else.
00:11:06I'm Elana.
00:11:07Not anyone's replacement.
00:11:11Don't look for me again.
00:11:18Men used to being admired
00:11:20can't stand being ignored.
00:11:21The colder you are,
00:11:23the harder they fall.
00:11:26Miss Elana.
00:11:28I have to admit,
00:11:29your wings are like my late wife's.
00:11:31But I've never mistaken you for her.
00:11:36This dagger has protected me for years.
00:11:38Now it protects you.
00:11:40The king is still a man.
00:11:45Well,
00:11:46didn't expect that.
00:11:48You're young,
00:11:48but you're in good shape.
00:11:51Miss Elana,
00:11:53you're too kind.
00:11:54This terrain isn't right
00:11:55for a large hunt.
00:11:57Tomorrow,
00:11:57we split into three groups.
00:12:03Miss Elana's remedies really work.
00:12:05Yeah.
00:12:06Since she arrived,
00:12:08every young man in camp
00:12:09suddenly needs a bandage.
00:12:16What's wrong?
00:12:17Come with me.
00:12:18We need to talk.
00:12:25What are you doing?
00:12:27I brought you here
00:12:28to treat the wounded,
00:12:29not flirt with my men.
00:12:33Are you jealous?
00:12:35Jealous?
00:12:37I'm 300 years older than you.
00:12:39I've known more women
00:12:40than you can imagine.
00:12:42You think a few words
00:12:42with a young guard
00:12:43would unsettle me?
00:12:44my king
00:12:45who I speak to
00:12:46or who I flirt with
00:12:48isn't your concern.
00:12:50You're not my husband.
00:12:55Then what would make it
00:12:56my concern?
00:12:57That depends.
00:12:59A man has to earn the right.
00:13:12Elena.
00:13:15What are you doing here?
00:13:17I'm serving as the
00:13:18Camp Herbalist now.
00:13:19I've every right to be here.
00:13:20Herbalist?
00:13:21You can't even save
00:13:23your own mother.
00:13:24Serene!
00:13:24She raised you too!
00:13:26Oh, shut up.
00:13:27A lowborn woman like her
00:13:28was never my mother.
00:13:30We should have left you
00:13:31in the street
00:13:31with the stray dogs.
00:13:33Instead,
00:13:33we brought home a snake.
00:13:34I spared you
00:13:35because we grew up together.
00:13:37And this is how you repay me?
00:13:38By coming here
00:13:39to ruin my wedding?
00:13:41Elena.
00:13:42All this just to win me back.
00:13:43I didn't know
00:13:44you were still
00:13:44that desperate for me.
00:13:45Don't flatter yourself.
00:13:47Trash draws flies.
00:13:49I stay away from both.
00:13:55Did I strike a nerve?
00:13:56You can become
00:13:57a princess, Serene.
00:13:58It still won't change
00:13:59where you came from.
00:14:00You're dead!
00:14:05Say that again.
00:14:07I dare you!
00:14:10Let go!
00:14:13You dare raise a hand
00:14:14to my queen?
00:14:17Your queen?
00:14:26She's your new queen?
00:14:27How is that possible?
00:14:29You raised a hand
00:14:30to someone
00:14:30under my protection.
00:14:32In my own camp.
00:14:34That takes quite a nerve.
00:14:35Are you challenging me?
00:14:37No, my king.
00:14:39Father, please.
00:14:40This is a misunderstanding.
00:14:41We didn't know.
00:14:42We thought she was
00:14:43only the camp herbalist.
00:14:47Apologize.
00:14:48Now.
00:14:49Why should I apologize?
00:14:50I'm...
00:14:50She's queen now.
00:14:52If she says no,
00:14:53this wedding is over.
00:14:54We were wrong
00:14:55to offend you.
00:14:56Forgive me,
00:14:57your majesty.
00:14:59My king.
00:15:01One little joke
00:15:02and they're already trembling.
00:15:04Imagine if I really
00:15:05were queen.
00:15:06A joke?
00:15:07What do you mean?
00:15:09Father...
00:15:10But you just said
00:15:11one test
00:15:12and you showed me
00:15:13exactly who you are.
00:15:15Is this how you treat
00:15:16anyone beneath your rank?
00:15:17Insult them.
00:15:19Strike them.
00:15:20Bind them as you please?
00:15:22Father,
00:15:22that's not what we meant.
00:15:23Then what did you mean?
00:15:24Your fiancé
00:15:25attacked someone
00:15:26in my camp
00:15:27without cause
00:15:28and you stood by.
00:15:30Do you approve of that?
00:15:31I...
00:15:31And you?
00:15:32You're not even
00:15:33in the palace yet.
00:15:34Already throwing around
00:15:35power you don't have.
00:15:36My king,
00:15:37I was wrong.
00:15:37I should not have
00:15:38lost my temper.
00:15:38Return to the capital.
00:15:40Reflect on what you've done.
00:15:41Before the wedding,
00:15:42I want no more trouble
00:15:43from you.
00:15:44Yes, my king.
00:15:48Forgive me,
00:15:49my king.
00:15:49I caused trouble for...
00:15:57What are you doing?
00:16:02Take off your dress.
00:16:04I...
00:16:05There are no other women
00:16:06in camp.
00:16:07Who else is going
00:16:08to treat that wound?
00:16:09Then leave it.
00:16:11Only my husband
00:16:11gets to see me like that.
00:16:13What if I marry you?
00:16:14What did you say?
00:16:16Alana,
00:16:17I'm asking you
00:16:17to marry me.
00:16:19From this day on,
00:16:20let me protect you.
00:16:21Whatever road lies ahead,
00:16:22let me walk it with you.
00:16:23Serene,
00:16:24watch closely.
00:16:25I'm about to become queen.
00:16:28Yes,
00:16:29I'll marry you.
00:16:32May I treat your wound now,
00:16:34my queen?
00:16:45Hail the new queen!
00:16:47Serene,
00:16:48that crown you wanted,
00:16:49I took it from your fiancée.
00:16:51his father's bed.
00:16:52Everything you reached for,
00:16:54I'll take it first.
00:16:56Say my name.
00:16:58Alana.
00:17:00Good.
00:17:02Now you get your reward.
00:17:14Doreen,
00:17:16Doreen,
00:17:17soon you'll be on your knees
00:17:19calling me mother.
00:17:21Father married a new queen
00:17:23in the border forest?
00:17:24Yes.
00:17:25The letter says
00:17:25she's 300 years younger than him.
00:17:27They'll return in a few days.
00:17:29The whole capital is talking.
00:17:31perfect.
00:17:33Perfect.
00:17:34We're about to call some stranger
00:17:36younger than us mother.
00:17:38Exactly.
00:17:39It proves the king's judgment
00:17:41is slipping.
00:17:42An old king led around
00:17:43by a young woman.
00:17:45How much longer can he hold the throne?
00:17:48You mean...
00:17:50Calum,
00:17:51the crown is closer than ever.
00:17:55And this new queen
00:17:56may be useful.
00:17:58Useful how?
00:18:00Remember Alina?
00:18:01She's still in the king's camp
00:18:03playing herbalist.
00:18:05We can't get rid of her there.
00:18:06But his new queen can.
00:18:11The queen is resting,
00:18:12Miss Serene.
00:18:13Please come back another day.
00:18:14No.
00:18:15I must see her today.
00:18:17Your majesty!
00:18:18There's a woman
00:18:19in the king's camp.
00:18:20Some herbalist.
00:18:22No family.
00:18:23No title.
00:18:24No place near the king.
00:18:25And yet she follows him
00:18:26everywhere.
00:18:27Acting like she belongs
00:18:29at his side.
00:18:30Keep her away from him.
00:18:31Better yet,
00:18:32send her out of Ethelob
00:18:34before she causes
00:18:35real trouble.
00:18:38This herbalist.
00:18:39What's her name?
00:18:41Alana.
00:18:42Her name is Alana.
00:18:43One look at her
00:18:44and you'll know
00:18:44exactly what she is.
00:18:45She plays innocent,
00:18:46but she'll do anything
00:18:48to get what she wants.
00:18:54Just as I thought.
00:18:56Another fool.
00:18:57That was almost too easy.
00:18:59You are Serene?
00:19:01I am.
00:19:01The queen has sent you a reward.
00:19:04Thank her majesty for me.
00:19:05That was her majesty's reward.
00:19:08The queen has no patience
00:19:09for women who sow discord.
00:19:11Every word you spoke
00:19:12was meant to turn her
00:19:13against the king.
00:19:14A dangerous habit.
00:19:15I am the future princess.
00:19:17Who do you think
00:19:18you are laying a hand on me?
00:19:20Her majesty said
00:19:21you may object
00:19:22after you actually
00:19:23become one.
00:19:25You...
00:19:25You may leave now,
00:19:27Lys Serene.
00:19:29Serene,
00:19:30that was only the first course.
00:19:33Tomorrow,
00:19:33at your ceremony,
00:19:34I can't wait
00:19:36to hear you call me mother.
00:19:43That bitch!
00:19:44She thinks she can
00:19:45humiliate me?
00:19:46Enough.
00:19:48You embarrassed yourself
00:19:49once already today.
00:19:50She wasn't just
00:19:51punishing me, Calium.
00:19:53I'm your fiance.
00:19:55An insult to me
00:19:55is an insult to you.
00:19:57I know.
00:19:58Then we can't wait.
00:20:00Once she has the king
00:20:01wrapped around her finger,
00:20:03we're next.
00:20:04Is the poison ready?
00:20:06It's been ready.
00:20:08One drop is enough
00:20:08to kill an elf.
00:20:09Perfect.
00:20:11Forgive me, father.
00:20:13Another hundred years
00:20:13is too long.
00:20:14I want the crown now.
00:20:16Let the new queen
00:20:17follow him into the dark.
00:20:19When do we move?
00:20:20At the wedding.
00:20:22Tomorrow,
00:20:23that bitch dies
00:20:23at my feet.
00:20:27From this day on,
00:20:29I am the princess
00:20:29of Aethelgard.
00:20:31Alana,
00:20:32and whoever
00:20:33this new queen is,
00:20:35you'll both
00:20:36kneel before me.
00:20:43My respects,
00:20:44your majesties.
00:20:47No.
00:20:49Hello, Serene.
00:20:51Miss me?
00:20:54Alana.
00:20:54Mind your place.
00:20:56Who gave you
00:20:56the audacity
00:20:57to address
00:20:57the queen by name?
00:21:00Prince Calum,
00:21:02Princess Serene.
00:21:03Step forward
00:21:04and kneel
00:21:04for the blessing
00:21:05of the king and queen.
00:21:06What is it, Calium?
00:21:07Do you not want
00:21:08my blessing?
00:21:13In the name of Aethelard,
00:21:14I name you
00:21:15Prince of the Realm.
00:21:16Thank you, father.
00:21:18Mother.
00:21:23Princess Serene,
00:21:25step forward
00:21:26and receive
00:21:27Her Majesty's blessing.
00:21:29What is this?
00:21:30Are you refusing
00:21:31the marriage?
00:21:34It seems Miss Serene
00:21:36doesn't want
00:21:36the crown after all.
00:21:38How far will you go
00:21:39for power, sister?
00:21:40Alana,
00:21:41you think I'll kneel
00:21:42to you?
00:21:42Never!
00:21:43My king, I...
00:21:44One last chance.
00:21:46Kneel,
00:21:48or the wedding
00:21:48ends here.
00:21:50My king!
00:21:52One.
00:21:54Two.
00:22:01There you go.
00:22:03Much better,
00:22:04Princess Serene.
00:22:05May you and
00:22:06Prince Calum
00:22:07have a blessed marriage.
00:22:09Alana,
00:22:10you'll pay for this.
00:22:11Your Majesty's
00:22:13honored guests,
00:22:14please raise your glasses
00:22:16to the bride
00:22:17and groom.
00:22:18Smile while you
00:22:19still can, Alana.
00:22:23Wait.
00:22:24Something's wrong
00:22:25with the wine.
00:22:26Today we gathered here
00:22:27for this blessed marriage.
00:22:28May this wine
00:22:29bring honor
00:22:30to both families
00:22:31and peace
00:22:32to Aethelhund
00:22:32and to my queen.
00:22:34To the king
00:22:35and queen!
00:22:37The wine.
00:22:39It's poisoned.
00:22:42Alana!
00:22:46Alana!
00:22:48Physician!
00:22:49Get the physician!
00:22:50Now!
00:22:51Why did she drink first?
00:22:53That bitch.
00:22:54She's ruined everything.
00:22:56Seal the hall!
00:22:57No one leaves!
00:22:58Someone just poisoned
00:22:59my queen
00:23:00in front of the entire court.
00:23:01Find out
00:23:02who handled the wine.
00:23:03Whoever did this,
00:23:05I'll make them
00:23:06beg for death.
00:23:16How is she?
00:23:17My king,
00:23:17the poison was
00:23:18extremely strong,
00:23:19but Her Majesty
00:23:19has worked with herbs
00:23:20for years.
00:23:21Her body had some resistance.
00:23:22That's what saved her.
00:23:23She'll need to stay
00:23:24in bed for a while,
00:23:25but the worst has passed.
00:23:27Alana,
00:23:28who wanted you dead?
00:23:31My king,
00:23:32we found who poisoned
00:23:33the wine.
00:23:33Who?
00:23:34It was Serene.
00:23:37It was Serene's
00:23:38personal maid.
00:23:40She confessed.
00:23:41She said she hated
00:23:43how the queen
00:23:43humiliated Princess Serene.
00:23:46So she poisoned the wine.
00:23:48A maid did all that?
00:23:50At a royal wedding?
00:23:53Where did she get the nerve?
00:23:55And where did she get
00:23:55the poison?
00:23:56Bring her here.
00:23:57I'll question her myself.
00:23:59She's dead.
00:24:00She's dead.
00:24:01My king.
00:24:01She took poison.
00:24:03The same poison
00:24:04used on the queen.
00:24:07Convenient.
00:24:08Dead before she could
00:24:09name anyone.
00:24:13Fine.
00:24:14If she was that loyal,
00:24:16hang her body
00:24:17at the city gate.
00:24:18Let everyone see
00:24:20what happens
00:24:20when they lay a hand
00:24:21on my queen.
00:24:22Yes, my king.
00:24:24As for Serene and
00:24:25Calum,
00:24:26their maid tried to
00:24:27murder the queen.
00:24:27That failure falls on them.
00:24:29So they can stay here
00:24:30and serve Alina
00:24:31until she recovers.
00:24:36Why haven't we heard
00:24:37anything?
00:24:38Lena should have
00:24:38confessed by now.
00:24:42You're sure she won't
00:24:43give us up?
00:24:44Her whole family
00:24:45answers to me.
00:24:46She wouldn't dare.
00:24:51Prince and princess,
00:24:53the king has given
00:24:54an order.
00:24:55Since your personal maid
00:24:57committed this crime,
00:24:58you are both to attend
00:25:00to the queen
00:25:00until she recovers.
00:25:02Attend to her?
00:25:03You mean serve her?
00:25:04What is father thinking?
00:25:06I'm a prince!
00:25:07He wants me waiting
00:25:08on a woman younger
00:25:09than me!
00:25:11It is the king's command.
00:25:12Please go to
00:25:13the queen's chamber
00:25:14at once.
00:25:19I'm sorry
00:25:21making you both
00:25:22look after me
00:25:22like this.
00:25:24Your father worries
00:25:25too much.
00:25:26Not at all, my queen.
00:25:28We're happy to help.
00:25:29Really?
00:25:30Then,
00:25:31could you pour me
00:25:32some water?
00:25:40What are you doing?
00:25:41Oops.
00:25:42Sorry.
00:25:43My hand slipped.
00:25:45Are you upset?
00:25:46I can ask the king
00:25:47to let you go back.
00:25:49No.
00:25:49It's fine.
00:25:50I'll get you another.
00:25:53Calium.
00:25:54It's a little stuffy
00:25:55in here.
00:25:56Look at you.
00:25:57Such a sweet son.
00:26:01You want water?
00:26:03Fine.
00:26:04Have this.
00:26:05Your water, my queen.
00:26:06Actually,
00:26:08I don't want it anymore.
00:26:09Take it away.
00:26:11Alana,
00:26:12you're doing this
00:26:14on purpose,
00:26:14aren't you?
00:26:15Of course I am.
00:26:17How else do you think
00:26:18I knew to drink
00:26:19the poisoned wine first?
00:26:21You thought
00:26:22I didn't know.
00:26:24Serene,
00:26:25I knew it was you.
00:26:28You meant to kill me
00:26:29and the king together,
00:26:30didn't you?
00:26:38You!
00:26:39Aren't you afraid?
00:26:40I'll kill you right now!
00:26:42Go on, then.
00:26:44Do it.
00:26:45Then the king kills you
00:26:47and everything you worked
00:26:48so hard for,
00:26:50gone.
00:26:50You bitch!
00:26:52Alana.
00:26:54What did you just call me?
00:26:55Mother,
00:26:57Serene lost her temper.
00:26:58She didn't mean it.
00:26:59Please,
00:26:59don't blame her.
00:27:00We'll behave from now on.
00:27:02Behave?
00:27:03Calium.
00:27:04From the day I married
00:27:05Celiphan,
00:27:06I never planned to let
00:27:07either of you live in peace.
00:27:09Everything you wanted,
00:27:10I'll ruin it.
00:27:13Serene!
00:27:14Have you lost your mind?
00:27:16Let go of me!
00:27:17I'm gonna kill her today!
00:27:19Don't get me killed with you,
00:27:21you stupid fool!
00:27:24What did you say?
00:27:25You chose me!
00:27:27You're the one who said
00:27:28Alina was dull,
00:27:29boring,
00:27:30beneath you.
00:27:31Enough!
00:27:31Well,
00:27:32if you're going to kill me,
00:27:34then do it.
00:27:35If not...
00:27:38What happened here?
00:27:42Nothing happened,
00:27:43Father.
00:27:44Serene's hand slipped.
00:27:45She dropped the glass,
00:27:46that's all.
00:27:47What are you standing there for?
00:27:49You can't even hold a glass now!
00:27:51Clean it up!
00:27:57And the water too.
00:27:59Someone might slip.
00:28:01Wipe it.
00:28:05My king,
00:28:07I'm tired.
00:28:08Let them go back.
00:28:09That's enough for today.
00:28:10You may leave.
00:28:12Yes, Father.
00:28:15Come on.
00:28:16Move.
00:28:19Come back tomorrow morning.
00:28:21You're not done
00:28:21until Alana recovers.
00:28:23Yes, Father.
00:28:29How are you feeling today?
00:28:31Better.
00:28:32Just still a little tired.
00:28:35Then rest.
00:28:36If you need anything,
00:28:37tell them.
00:28:41Alana,
00:28:43do you really think
00:28:44that maid poisoned you?
00:28:46Would a father believe
00:28:47an outsider
00:28:48over his own son?
00:28:50No.
00:28:51He might think
00:28:52I'm just stirring up trouble,
00:28:54turning him against
00:28:55his own son.
00:28:57That maid confessed.
00:28:59So,
00:29:00I suppose it must have been her.
00:29:02But once I have proof
00:29:03your son did it,
00:29:04Celiphan,
00:29:05will you strip Calum
00:29:06of his title?
00:29:07Alana,
00:29:08you're too naive.
00:29:13What was that back there?
00:29:15You helped her.
00:29:16You made me pick up
00:29:17broken glass.
00:29:19Neil,
00:29:19wipe the floor.
00:29:21What was I supposed to do?
00:29:23You were about
00:29:24to strangle her.
00:29:25If Father had walked in
00:29:26one moment earlier,
00:29:27you'd be in the dungeon
00:29:28right now.
00:29:30Now.
00:29:30So we just let her
00:29:32enjoy this?
00:29:33You heard her.
00:29:34She wants to ruin us.
00:29:36We need a better plan.
00:29:39Your father trusts her now.
00:29:41If we want her gone,
00:29:43we have to make him
00:29:44turn on her himself.
00:29:47Leon,
00:29:48at your service,
00:29:49your highnesses.
00:29:54Good.
00:29:55Quite handsome.
00:29:57You want him to
00:29:58seduce Alana?
00:29:59You really think
00:30:00she'll fall for that?
00:30:01She doesn't have to.
00:30:03Your father only needs
00:30:04to see them together.
00:30:05Let him believe
00:30:06she's sharing
00:30:06another man's bed.
00:30:08Then,
00:30:09we'll see how long
00:30:10he keeps his precious
00:30:11new queen.
00:30:22A month.
00:30:23I've put up with this
00:30:24for a whole month.
00:30:25A whole month of tea,
00:30:26floors,
00:30:27bedsheets,
00:30:28laundry,
00:30:29dusting.
00:30:29I am a princess.
00:30:31She's using us
00:30:31like servants.
00:30:32What even is she?
00:30:34Some peasant girl
00:30:35and now she's
00:30:36walking over me.
00:30:37So,
00:30:39when exactly
00:30:40are you setting up
00:30:41that affair?
00:30:42You think I'm not
00:30:43trying?
00:30:44Since I married you,
00:30:45I haven't had a single
00:30:46day as a real princess.
00:30:48You're Della?
00:30:50Princess Serene's
00:30:51personal maid?
00:30:53Yes, my queen.
00:30:55I heard you were
00:30:56close with Lina.
00:30:59We only worked together.
00:31:01Lina's mother is
00:31:01very ill,
00:31:02isn't she?
00:31:03Poor woman.
00:31:04If Lina were still
00:31:05alive,
00:31:06perhaps her mother
00:31:07wouldn't be suffering
00:31:08like this.
00:31:09Della,
00:31:10I don't believe
00:31:11Lina poisoned me.
00:31:12You were her friend.
00:31:13Are you really going
00:31:14to let her die
00:31:15with that name on her?
00:31:17I don't...
00:31:18Della,
00:31:19look at me.
00:31:20What do you know?
00:31:21My queen!
00:31:23Lina was innocent.
00:31:25She never poisoned you.
00:31:29This is enough gold
00:31:30to keep your family
00:31:31fed for life.
00:31:32All you have to do
00:31:34is tell the king
00:31:35you poisoned the queen.
00:31:37Princess,
00:31:38poisoning the queen
00:31:39is treason!
00:31:40And you think
00:31:41you have a choice.
00:31:42Your mother
00:31:42washes linen,
00:31:43your father
00:31:44hauls cargo
00:31:45at the docks.
00:31:46One word from me
00:31:46and your entire
00:31:47family is gone.
00:31:48Say it was you
00:31:49and they live.
00:31:51Say no
00:31:51and I'll bury them
00:31:52with you.
00:31:53Choose.
00:31:55I'll confess.
00:31:58This is the poison
00:31:59Princess Serene hid.
00:32:00I can give it to you.
00:32:02Just please,
00:32:04clear Lina's name.
00:32:05Lina shouldn't have
00:32:06died like that.
00:32:08You've helped me
00:32:08more than you know.
00:32:10Don't worry.
00:32:11I'll get to the truth.
00:32:13There's more.
00:32:14I heard the princess
00:32:15planning to frame you
00:32:16for having an affair.
00:32:19Serene.
00:32:20Still the same
00:32:21cheap little tricks.
00:32:23My queen.
00:32:25My queen,
00:32:25I should get back to work.
00:32:28You've been out
00:32:28for quite some time.
00:32:30You need rest.
00:32:32All right.
00:32:33Let's go back.
00:32:36Good.
00:32:36The floor looks
00:32:38better today.
00:32:39My queen,
00:32:40the king is waiting
00:32:41for you in the
00:32:41West Gallery.
00:32:42He wishes to speak
00:32:43with you.
00:32:44I'll be right there.
00:32:46Serene,
00:32:47bring me my cloak.
00:32:49Yes, my queen.
00:32:50You know, Serene,
00:32:52you two have taken
00:32:53such good care of me.
00:32:55I almost want
00:32:56to be poisoned again.
00:32:59You may not be
00:33:00so lucky next time.
00:33:06You wouldn't be stupid
00:33:07enough to poison my water,
00:33:08would you?
00:33:13Wipe that up.
00:33:14Soon enough,
00:33:16we'll see which one
00:33:17of us is stupid.
00:33:20Father,
00:33:21what is it?
00:33:22My king,
00:33:24something urgent
00:33:25has come up.
00:33:25it concerns
00:33:26the queen's honor
00:33:27and the royal
00:33:29families.
00:33:30Meaning?
00:33:31Father,
00:33:32Serene and I
00:33:32have been serving
00:33:33the queen for weeks
00:33:34and we've noticed
00:33:35something.
00:33:36She may be seeing
00:33:37another man.
00:33:38Elena?
00:33:38With another man?
00:33:40That's absurd.
00:33:41We didn't want
00:33:42to believe it either,
00:33:42but we heard them
00:33:44arranged to meet
00:33:44in the West Gallery
00:33:45today.
00:33:46You should see it
00:33:47for yourself.
00:33:49Take me there.
00:33:50A little lower.
00:33:53Yes.
00:33:53Right there.
00:33:55Who's in there?
00:33:58My king.
00:34:00What brings you here?
00:34:01Where's the queen?
00:34:03We heard her voice.
00:34:05Is she hiding
00:34:05with her lover?
00:34:07Her lover?
00:34:08Elena,
00:34:09come out.
00:34:10My king.
00:34:18My king.
00:34:20I was hoping
00:34:20to show you
00:34:21once it was finished.
00:34:22The spring festival
00:34:23ball is in a few days.
00:34:25I had this dress
00:34:26made outside the palace.
00:34:27It was meant
00:34:28to be a surprise.
00:34:29Well,
00:34:29I suppose you found
00:34:30me a little early.
00:34:32It's magnificent.
00:34:33No!
00:34:34That's impossible!
00:34:35There was a man
00:34:36in here!
00:34:36A man?
00:34:38I only have my maid
00:34:39and my tailor here.
00:34:44My king.
00:34:45We caught a suspicious
00:34:47man in the West Garden.
00:34:48We believe
00:34:49he may be a thief.
00:34:51Serene,
00:34:51did you really think
00:34:53I'd fall for something
00:34:53this clumsy?
00:34:55A thief?
00:34:56Find out
00:34:57who let him
00:34:57into the palace.
00:34:59Yes, my king.
00:35:00So,
00:35:01this lover
00:35:02you mentioned,
00:35:04where is he?
00:35:05My king,
00:35:06we may have,
00:35:07we may have
00:35:08heard wrong.
00:35:09We were only
00:35:10worried for the queen.
00:35:11We thought
00:35:12something might happen
00:35:12to her.
00:35:13You thought?
00:35:13You are a prince
00:35:14and a princess,
00:35:15and you accused
00:35:16the queen of adultery
00:35:17over something
00:35:17you thought you heard.
00:35:18If I had not come today,
00:35:20were you planning
00:35:20to spread this
00:35:21through the whole palace?
00:35:22Father,
00:35:24we were reckless.
00:35:25Reckless is far too kind.
00:35:27Calium,
00:35:28you will no longer
00:35:29attend council.
00:35:29Perhaps I'll let you
00:35:30back in once you learn
00:35:31to watch your tongue.
00:35:32And you, Serene,
00:35:33your allowance
00:35:34is cut in half.
00:35:35If you have time
00:35:36to invent rumors
00:35:36about the queen,
00:35:38you clearly have
00:35:39too many servants
00:35:39and too much money.
00:35:41Yes,
00:35:43my king.
00:35:44Yes, father.
00:35:45What are you still
00:35:46doing here?
00:35:46Go reflect on yourselves.
00:35:50You may both
00:35:51leave as well.
00:35:55Serene,
00:35:56since you went
00:35:57through all that trouble
00:35:58preparing this
00:35:58Afrodasian incense,
00:36:00it would be a shame
00:36:02not to use it.
00:36:03My king,
00:36:04could you tie
00:36:05my waist cord?
00:36:06This dress suits you.
00:36:08Truly.
00:36:11This scent,
00:36:12it's strong.
00:36:14My king.
00:36:20Leave it for now.
00:36:23Celiphar,
00:36:24he only has
00:36:25one son.
00:36:27No matter
00:36:27what Calium does,
00:36:29he may never
00:36:30lose his place
00:36:30unless
00:36:31I give him
00:36:33another heir.
00:36:43What a slut.
00:36:45She really
00:36:45couldn't wait,
00:36:46could she?
00:36:47She wouldn't even
00:36:47let me kiss her
00:36:48when she was with me.
00:36:50Always saying
00:36:50we should wait
00:36:51until marriage
00:36:52and now she's
00:36:52in my father's bed.
00:36:53What's that
00:36:54supposed to mean?
00:36:55Regretting it now?
00:36:57Let's just go
00:36:58or have you
00:36:59not heard enough?
00:37:01If Alana
00:37:01had let me
00:37:02touch her back then,
00:37:03I never would have
00:37:04gone to Serene.
00:37:06None of this
00:37:06would have happened.
00:37:07Princess Serene,
00:37:09you have
00:37:09excellent taste.
00:37:11This piece
00:37:12just arrived.
00:37:13One of a kind
00:37:14in all of
00:37:15Etheleng.
00:37:15With this necklace,
00:37:17no one will even
00:37:18look at anyone else
00:37:19at the Springquist
00:37:20and Ball.
00:37:21Alina's little dress
00:37:22won't a chance.
00:37:23I'll take it.
00:37:24Of course,
00:37:25Princess.
00:37:26Pay for it.
00:37:27Princess,
00:37:29the king cut
00:37:30your allowance
00:37:31in half.
00:37:31We can't afford this.
00:37:33What did you say?
00:37:34I'm a princess
00:37:35and I can't afford
00:37:37one damn necklace?
00:37:38How much?
00:37:40Five thousand,
00:37:41Princess.
00:37:42Damn it,
00:37:43that much?
00:37:44Princess,
00:37:45do you still want it?
00:37:47I,
00:37:47I,
00:37:48shit.
00:37:49Where am I supposed
00:37:50to get that kind
00:37:51of money?
00:37:51I'll take that necklace.
00:37:58I said I'm taking it.
00:38:00Can you pay for it?
00:38:02I,
00:38:03could I pay part now
00:38:04and the rest later?
00:38:06I'm sorry,
00:38:07Princess,
00:38:07we don't sell on credit.
00:38:09She's embarrassing herself.
00:38:11Broke
00:38:11and still acting like royalty.
00:38:13What a joke.
00:38:15Pay her.
00:38:17This is the queen
00:38:18payment voucher.
00:38:20Take it to the royal treasury.
00:38:22They'll settle the bill.
00:38:23Of course.
00:38:24I'll wrap it at once.
00:38:26Alana,
00:38:27what exactly do you want?
00:38:29I swore I'd take everything
00:38:30you wanted before you could touch it.
00:38:32This necklace,
00:38:33your place,
00:38:35all of it.
00:38:37You think you can?
00:38:39Do you recognize this?
00:38:42What?
00:38:42How do you have that?
00:38:44I have the poison you used
00:38:46and I have a witness.
00:38:48Dayla,
00:38:49so that's where that little bitch went
00:38:51at the Spring Festival Ball.
00:38:53I'll expose everything.
00:38:54You and Kalian,
00:38:56the poison,
00:38:57the throne,
00:38:57all of it.
00:38:59So what?
00:38:59Even if you found proof,
00:39:01even if the king learns
00:39:02what I did,
00:39:03what can he really do?
00:39:05He may punish me,
00:39:06but Kalian is still
00:39:08his only son.
00:39:09He'll never strip him
00:39:10of his title.
00:39:11Sooner or later,
00:39:12the throne belongs to Kalian
00:39:14when the back day comes.
00:39:16What do you think
00:39:17he'll do to you?
00:39:19What if
00:39:21I give him another heir?
00:39:24You what?
00:39:25There's no guarantee
00:39:26Kalian will ever
00:39:27be crowned prince.
00:39:29Impossible!
00:39:30You only just married
00:39:31that old man.
00:39:32At his age,
00:39:33there's no way
00:39:33he could king!
00:39:35The king has been
00:39:36very affectionate lately.
00:39:39Selene,
00:39:40I'm willing to give you
00:39:41one last chance
00:39:42for the sake of
00:39:43what we used to be.
00:39:45Leave, Kalian.
00:39:46Kneel before my mother.
00:39:47Confess what you did.
00:39:49Do that,
00:39:49and I'll spare you.
00:39:51Don't even dream of it.
00:39:53I did nothing wrong,
00:39:54and I'm not confessing
00:39:55to anything.
00:39:56Then prepare
00:39:57to lose everything.
00:40:00I offered you a chance.
00:40:02You chose not to take it.
00:40:04I'll see you
00:40:05at the Spring Festival Ball,
00:40:07Princess Serene.
00:40:10She really is pregnant.
00:40:12Then the throne,
00:40:14No.
00:40:15No, absolutely not.
00:40:17I can't let her
00:40:18have the king's child.
00:40:23Forget the wine!
00:40:25We have a real problem.
00:40:27Alana.
00:40:28She knows everything.
00:40:29What is it now?
00:40:31Can you just leave me alone
00:40:33for one day?
00:40:34That bitch Della told her.
00:40:35The poison,
00:40:37the maid,
00:40:38everything.
00:40:39What?
00:40:41She says she'll expose us
00:40:42at the Spring Festival.
00:40:44The king will never let me
00:40:46walk away from this.
00:40:47Even if she talks,
00:40:49that has nothing to do with me.
00:40:51You poisoned the wine.
00:40:52I never touched it.
00:40:53Father won't find me guilty.
00:40:55He won't.
00:40:56Of course.
00:40:57All you ever think about
00:40:58is yourself.
00:40:59You really think you can
00:41:00stay Prince after this?
00:41:02Alana told me herself.
00:41:04She may already be carrying
00:41:05your father's child.
00:41:07If she gives him an heir,
00:41:08that crown may never reach you.
00:41:10I've waited years for that throne.
00:41:12I'm not handing it
00:41:13to some unborn brat.
00:41:14Then we use the one thing
00:41:15Alina cares about most.
00:41:16Her half-dead mother.
00:41:18Find where she's hiding her,
00:41:20and Alina will do
00:41:21exactly as we say.
00:41:22Serene,
00:41:23that woman raised you.
00:41:25How can you be so heartless?
00:41:26She chose to.
00:41:28I never begged her
00:41:29to take me in.
00:41:30Ruthless.
00:41:32That's what I like about you.
00:41:39It's time
00:41:40for the medicine again.
00:41:51Her moon-white wings.
00:41:55They're fake.
00:41:57My king,
00:41:58we found something.
00:42:00Speak.
00:42:01Just as you suspected.
00:42:03Someone drubbed
00:42:04the demon elephant first,
00:42:05then led it straight
00:42:07into your hunting path.
00:42:10And the potion
00:42:11you asked us to test,
00:42:13the court alchemist
00:42:14confirmed it.
00:42:14It changes wing color.
00:42:16As for the queen's background,
00:42:18we still don't have everything.
00:42:19But we found one thing.
00:42:21Her mother is alive.
00:42:23The wedding day
00:42:23is almost here.
00:42:25When should we tell
00:42:26your parents?
00:42:28My parents.
00:42:30They're both gone.
00:42:34Where is her mother?
00:42:35The queen hid her
00:42:36in a private house.
00:42:38She was badly injured.
00:42:39Still unconscious.
00:42:41A drugged demon elephant.
00:42:43False wings.
00:42:44Elana.
00:42:45What else are you
00:42:46hiding from me?
00:42:49Keep digging.
00:42:51I want to know
00:42:52who my queen really is.
00:42:55Yes, my king.
00:43:07What do you look like?
00:43:10You.
00:43:14Elana.
00:43:15Did you ever love me?
00:43:17Or was I just
00:43:18the crown you needed?
00:43:21My king.
00:43:22What brings you here?
00:43:24I thought you'd already
00:43:25be in the ballroom.
00:43:28Beautiful.
00:43:32Your parents would have been
00:43:33proud to see you tonight.
00:43:35I wish they could.
00:43:37Elana.
00:43:39How did your parents
00:43:40pass away?
00:43:42Come on.
00:43:43Tell me the truth.
00:43:44And I can still let this go.
00:43:46Not yet.
00:43:47Once I've had my revenge.
00:43:48It was a long time ago.
00:43:50I'd rather not talk
00:43:51about it tonight.
00:43:52Your majesties.
00:43:53The ball is about to begin.
00:43:55Shall we?
00:43:56Yes.
00:43:56Let's go.
00:43:58Then,
00:43:59I suppose I have my answer.
00:44:03Madam,
00:44:04did you know
00:44:05Miss Elana is married now?
00:44:07To the king, no less.
00:44:09She's doing well,
00:44:10so
00:44:11you don't need to worry about her.
00:44:15When will you wake up
00:44:16so you can see her?
00:44:18Open the door!
00:44:19Open it!
00:44:20Who is it?
00:44:21Open the door.
00:44:22Now.
00:44:26What are you doing?
00:44:28This is a private residence.
00:44:29You can't just...
00:44:34Take her.
00:44:44Have you found Alina's mother?
00:44:46Don't worry.
00:44:48I already sent men after her.
00:44:50Elana,
00:44:51I have your precious mother now.
00:44:54Let's see you act so tough
00:44:56after this.
00:44:59My lords and ladies,
00:45:01welcome to the Spring Festival Ball.
00:45:04Please,
00:45:05enjoy this evening.
00:45:08My king,
00:45:09I need to announce something soon.
00:45:11What is it?
00:45:14It's about...
00:45:15My queen,
00:45:17that necklace is beautiful.
00:45:19May I have a closer look?
00:45:20I suppose.
00:45:22You really thought
00:45:24I wouldn't find your mother,
00:45:25Elana.
00:45:26My king,
00:45:27I feel a little light-headed.
00:45:30May I step out for some air?
00:45:31Would you like me to come with you?
00:45:32No.
00:45:34I just need a moment.
00:45:35I'll be back soon.
00:45:37What did you do to my mother?
00:45:39Relax.
00:45:40She's alive.
00:45:41For now,
00:45:42whether she stays that way is...
00:45:43Well, what depends on you?
00:45:44What do you want?
00:45:46You were about to announce the truth,
00:45:47weren't you?
00:45:53That poor woman's life
00:45:54is in your hands now,
00:45:55my queen.
00:45:57What happened?
00:45:59You're pale.
00:46:00You're pale.
00:46:00Siliphon,
00:46:01whatever happens next,
00:46:03please know I never meant to hurt you.
00:46:05What are you talking about?
00:46:08My lords and ladies,
00:46:11before the ball begins,
00:46:14I'd like to announce something.
00:46:17The wine that poisoned me
00:46:19at the Prince Calio's wedding,
00:46:21I poisoned it myself.
00:46:24I staged the whole thing.
00:46:26I wanted Prince Scalium
00:46:28and Princess Serene blamed.
00:46:29I wanted them out of my way
00:46:30so I could secure my place as queen
00:46:32and so my future child
00:46:33would have a clearer path to the throne.
00:46:36Alana,
00:46:37do you understand
00:46:38what you're saying?
00:46:39This is the poison I used.
00:46:41The court alchemist may test it.
00:46:43The king has shown me
00:46:45great kindness
00:46:46and I...
00:46:46I can't keep lying
00:46:48to all of you.
00:46:49Poison self?
00:46:49That's insane.
00:46:50She played the whole royal family.
00:46:52A woman like that
00:46:52cannot fear.
00:46:54My queen,
00:46:55we never wanted
00:46:56to stand against you.
00:46:58How could you try
00:46:58to frame us like that?
00:47:00Father,
00:47:01this woman planned
00:47:02everything from the start.
00:47:03She poisoned herself
00:47:05to get what she wanted.
00:47:06Who's to say
00:47:06she won't poison you next?
00:47:08My king,
00:47:08she's a disgrace to Aethelgarth.
00:47:10She has no right
00:47:10to wear that crown.
00:47:11My king,
00:47:12please depose the queen.
00:47:13Depose her!
00:47:14Depose the queen!
00:47:15Send her out of the palace!
00:47:18My king,
00:47:19what are you waiting for?
00:47:24Is it true?
00:47:29Yes.
00:47:30Queen Alana
00:47:31will be confined to the dungeon.
00:47:32The poisoning will be
00:47:33investigated thoroughly.
00:47:34Until then,
00:47:35no one speaks
00:47:35of what happened
00:47:36and anyone who disobeys
00:47:37will be charged
00:47:38with treason.
00:47:39Whoever is behind this,
00:47:40I will show no mercy.
00:47:42Take her away.
00:47:46Careful, my queen.
00:47:47It's a long walk down.
00:47:57My king,
00:47:58you shouldn't be here.
00:48:00Alana,
00:48:01it's just us now.
00:48:02What was that
00:48:03in the ballroom?
00:48:04Were you threatened?
00:48:06Did someone make you say it?
00:48:08It's a ball.
00:48:09You will admit
00:48:10you poisoned your face.
00:48:11You will admit
00:48:12you framed me.
00:48:13Even if the king
00:48:14asks you himself.
00:48:16One wrong word
00:48:17and your mother dies.
00:48:23Please stop asking.
00:48:24I confessed.
00:48:35I don't believe
00:48:36you'd do that,
00:48:36Alana.
00:48:37I'll find out
00:48:38what really happened.
00:48:41Seliphant,
00:48:41when you find out
00:48:42I really did lie to you,
00:48:44how disappointed
00:48:45will you be?
00:48:46Was I wrong
00:48:47to use you
00:48:48for revenge?
00:48:52She really confessed
00:48:53just like that?
00:48:54She had no choice.
00:48:55One extra word
00:48:56from her.
00:48:57That old woman dies.
00:48:59So what now?
00:49:01Once Alina
00:49:02is fully deposed.
00:49:03The throne,
00:49:04of course.
00:49:06Caelan,
00:49:07I've waited
00:49:08long enough
00:49:08to be queen.
00:49:13Once I'm king,
00:49:15everything will be yours.
00:49:19My king,
00:49:20the alchemist
00:49:21examined the poison.
00:49:22It matches the wine
00:49:24from the wedding.
00:49:25Serene followed
00:49:26Alana to the balcony.
00:49:28This has to be her.
00:49:30Investigate Serene,
00:49:31her background,
00:49:32her past.
00:49:33I want the truth.
00:49:36Guards!
00:49:37I need someone here!
00:49:40What's all the noise about?
00:49:41I need to see
00:49:42Princess Serene.
00:49:44Tell her.
00:49:45she owes me
00:49:46what she promised.
00:49:51Well, well.
00:49:52A queen in a cell.
00:49:54How tragic.
00:49:55My mother.
00:49:56How is she?
00:49:57Is she safe?
00:49:59Relax.
00:50:00She's alive.
00:50:04I did what you asked.
00:50:06When are you
00:50:06letting her go?
00:50:07Oh.
00:50:08Look at that.
00:50:09This floor is filthy.
00:50:11I've got dust
00:50:12on my shoes.
00:50:13My queen.
00:50:15Why don't you
00:50:15clean them for me?
00:50:17What?
00:50:17Too proud?
00:50:19Careful.
00:50:20When I'm upset,
00:50:21I do tend to make
00:50:23rash decisions.
00:50:26There you go.
00:50:27You look much better
00:50:28on your knees.
00:50:29I'm here to remind you.
00:50:31Keep your mouth shut
00:50:32and stay in this cell.
00:50:33Your mother stays alive.
00:50:35If you try anything,
00:50:36you'll regret it.
00:50:37Guard her well.
00:50:42Serene,
00:50:43you really think
00:50:44I'll let you get away
00:50:45with humiliating me?
00:50:48Oh.
00:50:56What's the matter?
00:50:59This is my mother's hair.
00:51:01Please,
00:51:02find her.
00:51:03Get her away from Serene.
00:51:05Skew work, then.
00:51:06Well, that's not too hard.
00:51:07But look at you.
00:51:09Worse off than I expected.
00:51:10A queen in a cell.
00:51:12How far you've fallen.
00:51:14So,
00:51:15what are you paying me with?
00:51:16I don't have money right now.
00:51:18But I swear,
00:51:18once I am out...
00:51:19Don't sell me promises.
00:51:20You want help now.
00:51:21You pay now.
00:51:23No money?
00:51:24Give me something else.
00:51:25What do you want?
00:51:27Hmm.
00:51:27Well,
00:51:28the only thing on you
00:51:30worth taking
00:51:30is that pretty pair of wing.
00:51:33Do you know what wings mean
00:51:35to an elf?
00:51:36Of course I do.
00:51:37They're tied to your life.
00:51:39Lose them.
00:51:39And how many years
00:51:40you have left?
00:51:42Well,
00:51:42that depends on luck.
00:51:43If you're not willing,
00:51:44I'll go.
00:51:45I'll do it!
00:51:48Oh,
00:51:48I do like a decisive client.
00:51:51But wings come in pairs.
00:51:55So you'll do two things for me.
00:51:57Still bargaining,
00:51:59are we?
00:52:00First,
00:52:01save my mother.
00:52:03Keep her safe.
00:52:05Second,
00:52:06use your magic.
00:52:08Make it look like I'm pregnant.
00:52:32That girl,
00:52:34giving up her wings
00:52:35for a mother
00:52:36who may never wake.
00:52:37Is that really worth it?
00:52:39You elves.
00:52:41Such beautiful wings.
00:52:44And such strange little minds.
00:52:47Did you hear that?
00:52:49I think I heard
00:52:49someone talking in there.
00:52:58Who are you?
00:52:59How did you get in?
00:53:02Oh, seriously.
00:53:03Must we make a scene?
00:53:05No.
00:53:19Put that woman down!
00:53:27Serene claimed to be the daughter
00:53:28of a foreign noble family.
00:53:30but no such family exists.
00:53:33And she's actually Alana's sister.
00:53:39My king!
00:53:40What is it?
00:53:42The physician just came from the dungeon.
00:53:44What happened?
00:53:45Is Alana ill?
00:53:46The queen is
00:53:47pregnant.
00:53:50What did you say?
00:53:52The physician says
00:53:53she's already two months along.
00:53:55My king,
00:53:56should the queen remain in the dungeon?
00:53:58The child is royal blood.
00:53:59If something happens
00:54:00in that cold, damp cell...
00:54:02Take her back to her chambers.
00:54:04Double the guards outside.
00:54:06No one enters
00:54:07without my queen.
00:54:16Alana, if you really
00:54:17are lying to me,
00:54:19then what am I supposed
00:54:21to believe about this child?
00:54:22Shh.
00:54:24The physician said
00:54:25the first three months
00:54:26matter most.
00:54:27If I'm careful,
00:54:28the child will be safe.
00:54:32We're having a child,
00:54:34Celifan.
00:54:34Aren't you happy?
00:54:36I am.
00:54:36If there is a child.
00:54:39What do you mean?
00:54:41What do you mean?
00:54:42You changed the color
00:54:44of your wings.
00:54:45I imagined faking
00:54:47a pregnancy would be easier.
00:54:48The demon elephant.
00:54:50The moon-white wings.
00:54:52Your mother,
00:54:53alive and hidden.
00:54:56Alana,
00:54:58how much more
00:54:59are you keeping from me?
00:55:01You know.
00:55:02Yes.
00:55:03I looked into it.
00:55:05From the beginning.
00:55:07You lied to me.
00:55:09Played me.
00:55:10So, Ona, tell me.
00:55:11Why did you marry me?
00:55:13Tell me!
00:55:16For revenge.
00:55:17Against whom?
00:55:18Serene?
00:55:19Calium?
00:55:20Serene is my sister.
00:55:22And Calium,
00:55:23he was the man
00:55:24I was supposed to marry.
00:55:27What?
00:55:29So, I married the woman
00:55:31my son was meant to marry?
00:55:34They betrayed me first.
00:55:36They were together
00:55:37behind my back.
00:55:38And Serene,
00:55:40she left my mother
00:55:41trapped in her own body.
00:55:42She can't move.
00:55:44She can't speak.
00:55:45She's just
00:55:47lying there,
00:55:48barely alive.
00:55:49But Serene was still
00:55:50going to marry Calium.
00:55:51Still going to become
00:55:52a princess.
00:55:53I couldn't accept that.
00:55:54I couldn't.
00:55:55So, yes.
00:55:56To make them pay,
00:55:57I was willing
00:55:58to do anything.
00:55:59And that's why
00:56:00you chose me.
00:56:01Yes.
00:56:02Serene wanted
00:56:03to be a princess.
00:56:05So, I needed
00:56:07to stand above her.
00:56:08I needed her
00:56:09on her knees,
00:56:10calling me queen.
00:56:13But this child...
00:56:17This child
00:56:18is another lie.
00:56:19Another trick
00:56:20to gather you
00:56:20out of the dungeon.
00:56:22Philippine,
00:56:24I...
00:56:26Alana!
00:56:27I truly
00:56:28cared for you.
00:56:30And you have
00:56:31disappointed me
00:56:32more than I can say.
00:56:33If you were lying
00:56:34from the start,
00:56:35why stop now?
00:56:36Why not lie
00:56:37to the end?
00:56:38Why not tell me
00:56:38you wanted me,
00:56:39that you chose me?
00:56:40Why tell me
00:56:41the truth now?
00:56:42Because...
00:56:44I need your help.
00:56:49It was Nevelina,
00:56:50the poison at the wedding.
00:56:51It was Princess Serene.
00:56:53My king,
00:56:54she and Prince Kalian
00:56:54were trying to kill you.
00:56:56I was going to expose them
00:56:57at the Spring Festival Ball.
00:56:59But Serene took my mother.
00:57:01She threatened me.
00:57:02I had no choice
00:57:03but to confess.
00:57:04Alana,
00:57:05you've lied to me
00:57:06again and again.
00:57:06How am I supposed
00:57:07to believe you now?
00:57:09Selafen,
00:57:10my king,
00:57:11you don't have
00:57:12to believe me.
00:57:14Just help me
00:57:14with one thing.
00:57:16Please.
00:57:17What?
00:57:18By custom,
00:57:19a pregnant queen
00:57:19must pray
00:57:20at the sacred altar.
00:57:21Before the ceremony,
00:57:22I need you to let people
00:57:23hear you may name
00:57:24a new crown prince.
00:57:25So that's your plan?
00:57:26You want me to push
00:57:27my own son into treason?
00:57:29The moment they try
00:57:29to poison you
00:57:30was already treason.
00:57:31I just need you
00:57:31to see who they really are.
00:57:33My king,
00:57:34after the ceremony,
00:57:35I'll step down
00:57:36as queen.
00:57:37You may punish me
00:57:38however you wish.
00:57:39After the ceremony,
00:57:41I never want
00:57:42to see you again.
00:57:44Whatever we had
00:57:46ends there.
00:57:48As you wish.
00:58:04Finally,
00:58:06she's locked away.
00:58:08Locked away
00:58:09isn't enough.
00:58:10As long as she's breathing,
00:58:13I'm not safe.
00:58:15You mean...
00:58:16Princess,
00:58:17there's news from the palace.
00:58:19What is it?
00:58:20Why are you panicking?
00:58:21The queen is pregnant.
00:58:22The king has already
00:58:23moved her back
00:58:24to her chambers.
00:58:25And he's summoned ministers
00:58:26to discuss naming
00:58:27a new crown prince.
00:58:28How is that possible?
00:58:30Why would she get pregnant now?
00:58:32Calm down.
00:58:33We still have her mother.
00:58:34As long as we have her,
00:58:35Alana stays under control.
00:58:38The highness,
00:58:39the woman we were holding
00:58:41outside the city,
00:58:42she's gone.
00:58:43What do you mean,
00:58:44gone?
00:58:45A raven came in.
00:58:47No, no,
00:58:47it was a woman.
00:58:48It was her.
00:58:49She took a...
00:58:51a witch?
00:58:52Alana has a witch
00:58:53helping her?
00:58:54Useless Edwards!
00:58:56You couldn't even
00:58:56guard an unconscious woman!
00:58:58Get out of my sight!
00:58:59This was Alana.
00:59:01She planned all of it.
00:59:02Then we exposed
00:59:03the pregnancy,
00:59:04find a physician
00:59:05we can trust,
00:59:06or tamper with her food.
00:59:08What's the point?
00:59:09The queen isn't
00:59:09a real problem.
00:59:10The one with power is.
00:59:11You mean,
00:59:12my father.
00:59:13He survived the poison
00:59:14at our wedding,
00:59:15barely,
00:59:15and that caused
00:59:16enough trouble.
00:59:16The blessing ceremony
00:59:17gives us another chance.
00:59:19We plan it properly.
00:59:20No mistakes.
00:59:21We deal with him
00:59:22once and for all.
00:59:34After today,
00:59:36whether Kayin
00:59:37makes his move or not,
00:59:38Seliphon and I
00:59:39are over.
00:59:40Come on,
00:59:40let me help you down.
00:59:50Is everything ready?
00:59:51Yes.
00:59:52Once the ceremony begins,
00:59:54they strike.
00:59:55Alana,
00:59:56even if that child
00:59:57is real,
00:59:59it will never
01:00:00see this world.
01:00:06May the sacred light
01:00:08protect the queen's child.
01:00:14May this bloodline
01:00:15be blessed
01:00:16with health,
01:00:18wisdom,
01:00:19and long life.
01:00:21May the royal bloodline
01:00:24live on forever.
01:00:35What is going on?
01:00:37Gods!
01:00:39Where are the gods?
01:00:45Don't bother.
01:00:46Your guards
01:00:47aren't coming.
01:00:48Kalem!
01:00:49You draw blades
01:00:50on sacred ground?
01:00:52Is this treason?
01:00:53Obviously.
01:00:55What do you do?
01:00:57Father,
01:00:58you've sat on that throne
01:01:00long enough.
01:01:01Now it's mine.
01:01:02Gods!
01:01:03He means to kill
01:01:04his own father.
01:01:05This is treason.
01:01:06He's betraying the crown.
01:01:09From now on,
01:01:10I am king of
01:01:11Aethelgard.
01:01:12As for the rest of you,
01:01:14kneel
01:01:15or die.
01:01:21I never wanted it
01:01:23to come to this,
01:01:23father,
01:01:24but I'm done waiting.
01:01:26You won't hold that
01:01:27against me,
01:01:27will you?
01:01:28Kalem,
01:01:29do you really think
01:01:30victory is yours?
01:01:33Your guards are gone.
01:01:34My men control the altar.
01:01:36You may be strong,
01:01:37father,
01:01:37but even you
01:01:38can't fight everyone.
01:01:39I can't believe
01:01:40I raised such a fool.
01:01:42You can't even
01:01:43commit treason properly.
01:01:44You don't deserve
01:01:45to be my son.
01:01:56No.
01:01:57No way.
01:01:58My men took control
01:01:59of the guards.
01:02:00They were ready for us.
01:02:08Let me teach you
01:02:09something, Kalem.
01:02:11One final lesson.
01:02:14Traitor.
01:02:22Are you serious?
01:02:23Now is not the time
01:02:25to look pathetic.
01:02:26Kill him!
01:02:27Whoever kills the king,
01:02:29I'll make him
01:02:31a duke!
01:02:43pathetic.
01:02:44Pathetic.
01:03:09Alana, you bitch.
01:03:13Even if I never become queen, you still die today.
01:03:28Selefan! Watch out! Behind you!
01:03:40My queen, no. It's too dangerous.
01:03:42No!
01:03:43The king ordered us to protect you, no matter what.
01:03:57Sorry, father. I have no way back now.
01:04:03I have no way back now.
01:04:06Philippa!
01:04:28Alana.
01:04:35Selefan, this is my apology for the lies, for using you.
01:04:43This harrow is what I owe you.
01:04:46If only, if only we'd met differently.
01:04:51If only we could start over.
01:05:11What do you look like?
01:05:27Hail the new queen.
01:05:34Please, live your life and forget me.
01:05:39Shhh.
01:05:40Shhh.
01:05:43Alana.
01:05:44Wake up.
01:05:46Alana, wake up!
01:05:52Priest!
01:05:54Where's the priest?
01:05:58My king.
01:06:01If the queen were alone, I might still save her, but she's carrying a child.
01:06:05Her strength is already divided.
01:06:07The life inside her, I can't hold it.
01:06:11No.
01:06:12No, that's not...
01:06:14She really is carrying a child.
01:06:16It has to be an illusion.
01:06:18It has to be magic.
01:06:19No, my king.
01:06:21No illusion can survive on the altar.
01:06:23The queen is truly pregnant.
01:06:26Second, use your magic.
01:06:29Make it look like I'm pregnant.
01:06:31You.
01:06:32What's wrong?
01:06:33Well, you don't need me for that part.
01:06:36You're already pregnant.
01:06:39I...
01:06:39I'm carrying Seliphant's child?
01:06:42We're having a child.
01:06:45Alana.
01:06:46Why didn't you tell me it was real?
01:06:50Wake up.
01:06:52Please.
01:06:54I'm begging you.
01:06:56Just wake up.
01:06:58I'll forgive everything.
01:07:00Please, just open your eyes.
01:07:02Alana.
01:07:04My king.
01:07:05I am deeply sorry.
01:07:08Please, you must stay strong.
01:07:10The queen is all ready.
01:07:13Alana.
01:07:14If I don't get to be queen,
01:07:17neither do you.
01:07:22You never beat me.
01:07:24Never.
01:07:27Mother.
01:07:29She's dead now.
01:07:31I'm your only son.
01:07:33Please.
01:07:33Forgive me.
01:07:36I'll do whatever you say.
01:07:38I'll never challenge you again.
01:07:42Calium.
01:07:44I am ashamed to call you my son.
01:07:48Exile them to the Cinder Hollow.
01:07:51The Cinder Hollow?
01:07:54No, father!
01:07:56That place is a volcanic wasteland.
01:07:58It's full of beasts.
01:08:00Poison air.
01:08:01I'd rather die.
01:08:03Take him away.
01:08:05Father!
01:08:05You can't do this to me!
01:08:07I'm your only son!
01:08:10What does it matter if you stay king forever?
01:08:13Your wife is dead.
01:08:14Your son is gone.
01:08:16You have nothing left.
01:08:17Nothing!
01:08:18Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
01:08:20Ha ha ha ha ha!
01:08:23Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
01:08:25Well, well.
01:08:27This is quite a show.
01:08:29Whoever you are,
01:08:32get out.
01:08:37I'm here to collect.
01:08:40Alana still owes me something.
01:08:45Whatever she owes you, I'll pay it.
01:08:48No.
01:08:49This debt is hers.
01:08:51Can't you see she's dying?
01:08:52Oh, I see it.
01:08:53I just never make a deal unless I get something out of it.
01:09:18Alana?
01:09:20I'm alive.
01:09:22You woke up.
01:09:26Thank God.
01:09:29You should be thanking me.
01:09:33No, no, no, no, no.
01:09:35She was dying.
01:09:36How is she alive?
01:09:38Even death knows better than to take someone I choose to save.
01:09:45Consider this the second thing I've done for you.
01:09:48Now.
01:09:50Time to collect.
01:10:01Alana!
01:10:18Now we're square.
01:10:20Goodbye.
01:10:28Alana.
01:10:29You're alive.
01:10:31You're alive.
01:10:37Salafan.
01:10:39I thought I'd never see you again.
01:10:41No.
01:10:42No, that's impossible.
01:10:43She was dying.
01:10:44She was dying.
01:10:44For all this?
01:10:45For what?
01:10:47From this day on, Alana is my only queen.
01:10:51And the child she carries will be the only heir to Ethelgard.
01:10:56Take them away.
01:10:57Don't want them in the capital again.
01:10:59Father.
01:11:00I'm your son.
01:11:01Father, please.
01:11:02No.
01:11:03I won't accept it.
01:11:04Let go of me.
01:11:06My wings.
01:11:08They're gone.
01:11:12Then I'll carry you.
01:11:14Wherever you want to go.
01:11:16I'll take you there.
01:11:19I'll never leave your side again.
01:11:21Mama, look!
01:11:23I'm flying!
01:11:30Careful!
01:11:36Papa!
