Ms. Carver’s class gets a new addition in the form of mystery eggs, and Dan just knows one of them is a dinosaur egg!

When Trek and Tristan find a bone in the schoolyard, Dan uses a papier-mâché skull in Mrs. Hahn’s art class to figure out if it came from the Stygimoloch.

02:08Take a seat, class is starting.
02:12Aw, it's a brachiosaurus!
02:17What are you looking for?
02:26Dan, seat.
02:27You, in it.
02:29Sorry.
02:32Guess what?
02:34We have some new friends in our classroom.
02:38And they're right over here.
02:40Are they puppies?
02:42Nope, no puppies.
02:44Are they parrots?
02:46No, but closer.
02:47Oh, oh!
02:48Are they robot parrots?
02:50No.
02:51Aw, too bad.
02:52I love robot parrots.
02:54At-lo-pa!
02:55At-lo-pa!
02:57Drum roll, please.
03:00It's...
03:02some...
03:03eggs.
03:04Awesome!
03:05I missed breakfast!
03:06Corey, these eggs aren't for eating.
03:09Okay, they're almost ready to hatch.
03:11Can you guess what kind of eggs they are?
03:13Duck eggs?
03:14Snakes.
03:15Blue Jays?
03:16I know!
03:17Rabbit eggs.
03:18Rabbits don't lay eggs, Corey.
03:21Ever hear you the Easter Bunny?
03:23Miss Carver.
03:26Uh, Jordan?
03:27Miss Carver.
03:28Jordan?
03:29What do you think?
03:31Uh...
03:32Insects and spiders have really small eggs,
03:35so it's not one of their eggs.
03:38Um, maybe flamingo eggs?
03:41Good guess, but that's not it either.
03:44Miss Carver!
03:45Which leaves...
03:48Over here, please?
03:50Dan.
03:51Dinosaur eggs.
03:53They're not dinosaur eggs.
03:55Look how small they are.
03:56I'm sure dinosaur eggs were much larger.
03:59Well, you'd think so, but not all dinosaur eggs were huge.
04:03The largest were only the size of a soccer ball.
04:06Or...
04:06Corey's paper-mashy alien mask.
04:08And most were really small, like those.
04:11So those eggs could be dinosaur eggs.
04:14These eggs were bought at a farm.
04:17Well, then, maybe one of the dinosaur eggs
04:19got mixed up with all the other eggs.
04:21The mom dino's probably looking for them right now.
04:25I hope she's not a T-Rex.
04:27Baby T-Rexes!
04:28Can I take one home and show my sister?
04:32Corey, no, you can't.
04:33And I assure you that no dinosaur eggs
04:36got mixed up with the chicken eggs.
04:38A chicken?
04:39They're chickens.
04:40Okay, so much for surprises.
04:42They're chicken eggs.
04:44Now, find a partner
04:45and come up with a name for one of the chicks.
04:48Hey, Jordan, want to be my partner?
04:52Okay, what should we name our chick?
04:54Let's start with A names.
04:55There's Angie.
04:56Wait, but you have that.
04:58Angie?
04:59Yes.
05:00Sure.
05:00What else is there?
05:01Abigail, Elena, Amanda, Anastasia.
05:04But what if it's a boy?
05:05Well, there's Aaron, Adam, Alex.
05:09Are you worried about that egg you put back?
05:12Why?
05:12Should I be?
05:14Well, now that you touched it,
05:16the one won't go near it, right?
05:18Oh, Dan, Dan, Dan.
05:21That's just a myth.
05:22And most birds are good parents.
05:24They'll do anything to take care of their egg
05:26and protect them.
05:27Well, some scientists think that dinosaurs
05:29are really good parents, too.
05:31And then because birds came from dinosaurs,
05:34then maybe they got their good parenting skills from them.
05:36That'd be neat.
05:38Do you really think one of those eggs could be a dinosaur?
05:42Well, I hope so.
05:44But I think that it might even be a brachiosaurus egg.
05:48Oh, one of the dinos with the long necks?
05:50They're my favorite.
05:51Yeah.
05:52Rackiosaurus are cool.
05:53Now, how neat would it be to have one of these guys as a pet?
05:58I wonder.
06:02Good night, long necks.
06:19It would be pretty cool to have one of these guys as a pet.
06:22Now, let's come up with the names.
06:26Well, if it's a chicken...
06:29Nugget.
06:33I have to go sharpen my pencil.
06:48Oh, my tail!
06:51Come on, fella.
06:52It's all right.
06:55Come on.
06:58A brachiosaurus, baby!
07:00I was right.
07:04But where's your mom?
07:15I guess I'm going to have to take care of you now.
07:18But how?
07:25Mom, Nekki, stop snoring.
07:28Seriously.
07:29I'm trying to sleep.
07:31Okay, long Nekki.
07:33Fetch!
07:39Uh-oh.
07:43I've got to get you back to your mom.
07:45We're not naming it Mini Cory, Cory Jr., or anything to do with Cory.
07:51You're entirely known fun.
07:54Nike Zoo.
08:13It looks like your mom found you.
08:20Just wait, Mom and Dinah.
08:22I'll get your baby, too.
08:30Hang on, pal.
08:36Where did your mom go?
08:39You've got to call for your mom, little guy.
08:45Just like this.
08:47Wet!
08:48Wet!
08:48Wet!
08:49Wet!
08:49Wet!
08:50Keep it up.
08:51Wet!
08:53Wet!
08:55Wet!
08:56Wet!
08:58Oh, no.
08:59The droning source is back.
09:02Okay.
09:03Okay.
09:03You can stop now.
09:06Seriously.
09:07Knock it off.
09:29Oh, good timing, Momma Dino.
09:32Brachiosaurus, one.
09:34Dromyosaurus, still zero.
09:42My work here's done.
09:50That pencil must be pretty sharp.
09:54Okay, let's hear your names.
09:56Cory and Ricardo.
09:58Captain Cluck Cluck.
10:00Captain Cluck Cluck.
10:01Cluck Cluck.
10:03You're right.
10:04He should be an admiral.
10:06Dan and Jordan.
10:10We like Longnecky.
10:12Longnecky?
10:13Interesting choice for chicken.
10:15Where'd you get that name?
10:17It, uh, just kind of came to us.
10:20Hey, what happened to this egg?
10:31Here, it's your turn to hold Xena.
10:34Admiral Cluck Cluck, reporting forward duty.
10:36Hi, Longnecky.
10:37You hungry?
10:39I knew dinosaurs could be good parents.
10:47Coming up next, another Dino Dan adventure.
10:58These two sure don't look like they get along.
11:01I wonder what they're doing.
11:02Hey.
11:03Hey.
11:04Hey.
11:06Hey.
11:11Hey.
11:12Hey.
11:12Hey.
11:13Hey.
11:15Hey.
11:17Hey.
11:18Hey.
11:18Your little weather track found something in the sandbox that you've got to see.
11:22You won't believe it.
11:23In a sec.
11:25Uh-uh.
11:25You gotta come now.
11:27You'll think it's the most amazing thing.
11:28Most amazing thing in all of history, time, and space.
11:32Trust me.
11:32What have I ever exaggerated?
11:35All right.
11:39Come on, come on.
11:40Let's go.
11:41Okay, okay, okay.
11:42So, what's the big deal?
11:44That!
11:45It's a dinosaur bone.
11:51Dino Dan.
12:29Dino Dan.
12:33Bones in the backyard.
12:36Whoa, where'd you guys find this?
12:39Tristan and me be searching for buried treasure.
12:43Arr, matey, we're pirates.
12:46When me shovel hit something hard, we thought it might be gold.
12:50But then we thought be a bone.
12:53Maybe even a dino gold.
12:56So, I had Koi go and get you, and now you're here.
13:01And me can be having the bone.
13:03We're still looking for treasure.
13:06Well, shiver me timbers.
13:07This is a treasure.
13:08Thanks, little pirates.
13:09You're welcome, matey.
13:12Aren't you gonna pick it up?
13:14Well, of course.
13:15But you see, I just have to be very careful.
13:18These dinosaur bones are really rare.
13:21Well, good thing I have these.
13:24Guys, I'll send it to my dad to the dinosaur museum.
13:28But first, I just want to figure out what bone that is.
13:34Because it sure looks like a spike.
13:41It's the gemolic!
13:43This must be one of your head spikes, but which one?
13:49Dan, grab your bag and let's go!
14:01Mrs. Hawn.
14:03Mrs. Hawn.
14:05She's in her creative zone again.
14:07Okay, you guys know what to do.
14:09On three.
14:10One, two, three.
14:14Mrs. Hawn!
14:16Oh, children, you scared me.
14:19I didn't see you come in and I didn't hear you.
14:22Oh, I was in a creative zone.
14:25There.
14:26I think that you should do it and you will be too.
14:30Because today, we're going to be doing one of my favorite art projects.
14:36Papier mache!
14:37Yay!
14:38I love paper mache!
14:40Wait, what's paper mache again?
14:42Paper mache is kind of like sculpting, but using bits of paper covered in paste.
14:46You put those bits of paper over a mole.
14:48Stitcher mollets!
14:49Stitcher mollets!
14:50Stitcher mollets!
14:50Or a balloon or even an empty paper towel roll.
14:53Then you let it dry and you paint it.
14:54It's so fun.
14:55What bone is this?
14:57Now, what kind of papier mache creation are we going to make?
15:01I have an idea!
15:03Dan!
15:03Dan?
15:05Dan?
15:08Dan Anderson!
15:10Oh, sorry.
15:12Why don't we make a paper mushy of the dinosaur that bone belonged to?
15:16That's actually a pretty good idea, Cory.
15:19I am parking.
15:21Mrs. Hawn, my little brother found this.
15:24It's a dinosaur bone.
15:25It looks like one of those Tidimolek spikes.
15:28Yeah, that's what I think, too.
15:29And if we make a paper mache model of the Stidimolek skull, we'll be able to figure out which bite
15:34this is.
15:36Paleontologists, dino experts, use models to figure out lots of stuff about dinosaurs.
15:42Well, what an interesting art project, children.
15:46Does everybody here want to make a Stingy Mullet?
15:49Stidimolek.
15:50A Stidimolek?
15:51Mollet?
15:52Mollet, yeah.
15:53Model out of a papier mache?
15:55Yeah.
15:55That's for sure.
15:57Let's all get into the creative zone now.
16:00Move your desk together.
16:02Oh, smock for everyone.
16:05Cory, Ricardo, Kami, Jordan.
16:11Who are we missing?
16:12All right?
16:19Dan.
16:20Dan?
16:21What do you think?
16:22Should we start with the Stingy Mullet spikes?
16:25And the thick dome-shaped skull.
16:27Aha.
16:28Ooh, we can make construction paper combs that we cover with papier mache for the spikes.
16:32Yes.
16:33Excellent idea, Kami.
16:35And for the dome-shaped skull, we can use this bowl and put papier mache on it.
16:41Oh, I'll put the thick skull.
16:45Rawr!
16:45I'm a Stingy Mullet.
16:47Rawr!
16:47Fear me and my face.
16:49Rawr!
16:49Not so fast, Cory.
16:51The Stingy Mullet was a herbivore, a planet.
16:54So, not scary.
16:55If it wasn't so scary, then why did it have so many spikes on its head?
17:01And why was its skull so thick?
17:08That stuff is probably for self-defense.
17:11Begins to meat-eaters and stuff.
17:12But no one knows for sure.
17:16I know these spikes remind me of a hairstyle I once had.
17:20But for fire, hey, how?
17:22Oh, never mind.
17:25Time to create!
17:28Meek-a-meek!
17:39Even when the skull is dry, I'm not going to be sure where this bone goes.
17:44Hmm.
17:45Maybe there's something about it which will give me a clue.
17:49Recess, children!
17:50Ah, look!
17:51With my industrial-strength hair dryer, these bones are going to be dry by the time you get back from
17:56recess.
17:57Off you go!
17:58Oh, make sure you wash your hands on the way out.
18:00Oh, isn't that beautiful?
18:03Oh!
18:14What can you tell me?
18:17You know what, guys?
18:18I'm thinking a little three-legged race action.
18:21Yeah!
18:21Good idea!
18:22Wicked!
18:24I think I'll be the referee.
18:28I think we'll go find out more about this bone.
18:31I'd better go do some research.
18:35You keep digging for treasure, check, or I'll make you walk the plank.
18:40You're a man, I'm digging, I'm digging!
18:47Now I can see what the demolished are doing.
18:58Head-butting!
19:00That must be why these such thick dome-shaped skulls are doing.
19:03Spikes!
19:05Uh-oh.
19:06Looks like they can head-butt again.
19:17Ouch!
19:18That's got to leave a mark.
19:20Wait.
19:21Did it leave a mark?
19:24It did!
19:27Amazing!
19:28This is my costume for the back of the head where the spikes smashed.
19:32If only one would know for sure.
19:34Back to art class.
19:35One!
19:36Two!
19:37Three!
19:38Go!
19:43No.
19:44Not there.
19:47Miss Holland?
19:48There.
19:48It's you!
19:50Well, the skull is dry and the spikes are dry, but I cannot figure out where the spikes go.
19:55It's puzzling.
19:57I like puzzles.
20:02Why are you two walking so close together?
20:05Corey tied the knot too tight.
20:06It's not my fault I'm an expert in knot tie-er.
20:10Oh, guys, that reminds me.
20:12I figured out why the Stygmall is such a thick skull.
20:15And the reason is for self-defense and...
20:18...head-butting each other.
20:20Oh, they'd probably butt heads to see who would be the leader.
20:23Exactly!
20:24And because the Stygmall was so strong, when they butted each other's spikes together,
20:28they would leave a mark.
20:30And look, there's a mark in this bone.
20:32And that means that this bone came from the back of the Stygmall's skull.
20:36Now, let's get putting these spikes on.
20:39All right.
20:39There you are.
20:45It's the moment of truth.
20:47I feel like Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins.
20:50Who's that?
20:51Huh?
20:52He's the first person to create dinosaur models.
20:55Hmm.
20:56Drum roll, please.
21:02Ta-da!
21:02It fits!
21:03Woo!
21:04It fits!
21:05It fits!
21:07Dan, I'm off to mail this bone to your father at the Dinosaur Museum in Alberta.
21:12Do you want to send him a note?
21:13Sure!
21:14Maggie, Maggie, Maggie!
21:15Dan!
21:16We be finding something else.
21:18Now, another treasure.
21:20That one looks like a Brachiosaurus leg.
21:22But we're gonna have to prove that first.
21:25We're gonna need a lot more puppy, eh, mache!
21:45Ah!
21:47Ah!
21:52Ah!
21:54Oh!
21:55Oh!
21:56Oh!
