00:00It was funny last year, turning around everywhere in La Liga, because alongside that, we were playing
00:03Champions League semi-finals and Spanish Cup finals.
00:06But to get thrashed 3-0 in San Mames on the fourth day is a real pain.
00:10I like Alejandro Grimaldo, but he's going to have to understand one thing.
00:13The thing is, we didn't go to Cousin here.
00:15He's not a winger, it's not a three-defender system behind him, and we're not
00:19Not in a league where you can leave spaces as you see fit.
00:22No.
00:22You are defender coach of Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
00:24Not behind you, but beside you, you have two central defenders, and so if you move up
00:28Too much to contribute offensively, well, there's a gap at the back.
00:32When we signed him, I told him, Grimaldo is a great player.
00:34Now, is he suited for Atletico Madrid? I don't think so.
00:37I would of course have preferred that we sign Cucureia, for example, than Grimaldo.
00:40So, I think Diego Simone will mold him into a true left-back.
00:44Another major drawback is the lack of attention, the lack of everything you might want upon your return.
00:48changing rooms.
00:49It's impossible to come back from the locker room, and for 5 minutes, blackout.
00:52We conceded two goals, but two stupid goals.
00:55So, yes, okay, Grimaldo has the spaces, but he's not the only one on the team, you know.
00:58Arnaud Ortiz is the same, his entrance was really not amazing.
01:01That's why I said it clearly at the beginning of the season, yes, I think so, it's a
01:04player who can contribute
01:05But don't forget two things: firstly, he's not the best player either.
01:08world,
01:08And secondly, he's already 24 years old, and at 24, you don't have the same margin for error.
01:12progression only at 18,
01:13And so, inevitably, it doesn't give the same player interpretation.
01:16This team doesn't have a number 9, right? Yes, there is one, we saw that clearly.
01:19when he returned.
01:20But is he motivated to play for Atletico Madrid, given that his dream was to go to Catalonia?
01:24Well, that's a real head-scratcher.
01:26Well, I could list quite a few more negative points, but honestly,
01:29Okay, let's blame it on Atletico losing at San Mames.
01:33It's like water wets, it's like fire burns.
01:35Atletico loses at San Mames, that's how it is, one year out of two, we're used to it.
01:38We will also consider this the time it takes for the team to get going.
01:40But anyway, it's annoying, the extra time it takes to lose points, and we end up losing even more.
01:44The only positive point, however, which deserves to be mentioned,
01:46Ah, it's the Pablo Barrios-Mortenulmando pair.
01:49Honestly, those two, well, I did find some positive things about them,
01:51So I don't know if I'm holding onto much from that match.
01:53But I still found some good things about them.
01:55And there you have it, the Dane is gaining strength,
01:57And the Spaniard shows us that, well, there you have it, he's a very talented player.
02:00and that he, too, will continue to improve.
02:03Now there's a big test, it's in two days on the handfield.
02:05And I think we're going to have a laugh there too.
