03:14After losing to the Trinidadonite Riders, the Borbada's Tridents bounced back and took care of St. Lucia Kings by eight

03:20However, the Tridents are still last whereas the Kings are fourth on the Republic Bank's CPL standings.

03:38It's probably our closest efforts to a complete game of cricket.
03:41Fielding was tough out there for both sides.
03:43It was very wet. A lot of dew, a lot of rain had fallen.
03:46So, yeah, really proud of our efforts and those two batting at the end, seeing us home was fantastic.
03:51Green lauded his bowlers for keeping things tight in the last couple of games.
03:55He was also impressed with Jakeem Pollard who was economical.
03:59Yeah, look, I don't know if I can take all the credit for that.
04:01I think the execution in the last two games has been fantastic.

04:11Obviously, the excitement's there but naturally the nerves are there and I've been really impressed and proud of him
04:15the way he's gone about it and really stood up to that opportunity and grabbed it with both hands.
04:20All our young players have done that since we've come home.
04:22So, that's a thing that I've asked for this season.
04:25There's a lot of senior players around this group but the youngsters are the ones that are going to win
04:29us this tournament.
04:29It was a second straight loss for the St. Lucia Kings.
04:32According to skipper Roston Chase, it was a bad night overall for the St. Lucia franchise.
04:37I just thought that we were about 15, 20 runs short.
04:40I thought we left it out there.
04:42We were in a good position coming into the last five, four overs.
04:45And then we didn't get that momentum in the end.
04:49They got too many wickets in clumps at the end there and we didn't get too much wickets.
04:54And then having a low score like that, I think you need to get wickets early in the power play.
04:58We didn't really get too many wickets and then we put down some crucial chances and I thought we were
05:03poor in the field as well.
05:04The Kings have one more game whereas the Tridents still have three with both fighting for a playoff spot.

05:13Guyana Amazon Warriors are into the playoffs following their seven-wicked win against the Decent Kitts and Nevis Patriots on
05:20Sunday evening.
05:21The Patriots made 1-28 all-out in the final over with 52 from Alec Athanese while Mohamed Nabi took
05:27four scabs.
05:28In reply, the Amazon Warriors reached 1-32 for three with nine balls to spare.

06:32When the Amazon Warriors responded, Ramunullah Gurbaz and Mavindra Dindyal were the openers.
06:38Their partnership was worth a healthy 58 in 5.3 overs.
06:45Gurbaz fell for 39, followed by Dindyal for 17.
06:49Navin Bidesi bowled well and grabbed 2 for 20 but in vain.
06:56Shehope with an unbeaten 38 and Nabi with 25 not out took the Ghana Amazon Warriors home.
07:02They reached 132 for 3 in the 19th over with Hope getting the victory in style.
07:07That result made it 6 wins from 6 and a playoff spot for the 2023 champions.

08:19He's one of the best off-spinner in world cricket at the moment.
08:23And that's the reason we got him, you know, can bat, a really good slip filter.
08:27You know, and he's been really good with us, you know, sharing his knowledge.
08:32And the way he's been bowling, it's been brilliant, you know.
08:34Even from GSL till now, his lengths are so good, he never missed anything in any game.
08:40And so, look, his performance stands out for itself, you know.
08:45But we really love to have him here and we're really going to miss him.
08:50The St. Kips and Nevis Patriots remain stuck in fifth position with seven points.
08:54Team skipper Jason Holder was hoping for a more competitive total to give his side a chance.
09:02Yeah, I think we were probably like 20, 25 runs short.
09:05You know, the nature of the wicket and I felt like we were always in the game with the ball,
09:09you know.
09:09They obviously bowled well, you know.
09:11They were able to restrict us to 128, which I think was a little bit below par.
09:14I think in the area around 145, 50 would have been a decent total.
09:18The Patriots' bowlers took it very close, which saw the Guyana franchise getting home with nine balls to spare.
09:24As such, Holder could not fault his bowlers.
09:26Down the ground, the tallest man on the field.
09:30Yeah, not too bad, you know.
09:31It's always tough defending an under-par score.
09:33You know, I felt the bowlers gave it a really good effort.
09:35Probably, they probably got off to a little bit of a flare in the power play.
09:39You know, probably if we'd limited the boundaries and the damage in the power play, it would have been probably
09:43a different game.
09:43Maybe the 128 would have been stretched a little bit further.
09:46Not sure if it would have gotten us across the line, but I know we could have fought a little
09:48bit better.
09:49The Patriots played their last game on Thursday against Barbados Tridents with the hope of qualifying for the playoffs.
