00:00Hey there fellow travelers, Mark here with Walter's World and
00:01say we're here in Paris.
00:03Today we're going to talk about is packing, but specifically six
00:07things that you might want to pack that you forget to pack, but
00:10once you're there, you're like, dang it, I wish I would have
00:12had it because it'd make all the difference.
00:14And the first thing I want you to pack, I want you to throw
00:16these in your bag, whether it's your check bag, your carry-on,
00:18whatever, Ziploc bags, get a gallon size, get a quart size,
00:22get a sandwich size, why?
00:24Well, if you have to do one of those 311 liquid rules, you have
00:27the plastic bag, but also if you have wet clothes or dirty,
00:30stinky clothes, you can throw them in there and it separates it
00:33from the rest of your clothing, your luggage, so they don't
00:36stink as well.
00:37So those Ziploc bags are a must have, believe me, it will pay off.
00:41Now, another thing I recommend you do is, you know those plastic
00:44bags you have from the grocery store, you know, the dozens and
00:46dozens that you have, grab a couple, put them in there as
00:49well, why?
00:50Well, if you're going to be traveling, you're probably going to
00:52have a couple pairs of shoes and do you really want to get, I
00:54mean, I love Paris and I love walking in the dirt and get the dirt
00:57of Paris on my shoes, but I, do I want on the rest of my clothes?
01:00No, have a couple of those little bags in there.
01:03You can wrap your shoes in them.
01:04So when you put it in there, it keeps everything from getting
01:06dirty.
01:07Also, again, for the dirty clothes, you can put them in there as
01:10well, but I use them as just simple little, hey, let's not
01:13ruin the rest of our clothes with dirty shoes while I travel
01:15around bag.
01:23Now another thing you might want to go and grab are either a Tide
01:27Stick or some Shout Wives or just one of those little like sheets of
01:31laundry detergent.
01:32Because when you travel, you forget, you get a little stinky and
01:35maybe you don't want to pay $20 to have the hotel wash your shirt or
01:39maybe you don't want to spend a day in Paris doing your laundry, you
01:42want to see the sights.
01:43So having those things with you, that Tide Stick, yeah, it'll get
01:46that stain out so it's not there two weeks when you get from now
01:49when you get home and it ruins your shirt.
01:51No, it's one of those things that makes life a lot easier.
01:53That Shout Wipe, huh, it has saved many a clothing of mine on my
01:57travels, okay?
02:07Now another thing that might be important to bring you want to
02:09throw in that you kind of forget is a small first aid kit.
02:12No, I'm not saying bringing the big first aid kit and for trauma
02:15unit stuff, but have the basic things you might want to need that
02:19you don't have to try to figure out how to say, I don't want to
02:21poop my pants in French, right?
02:23So make sure you have your Imodium, your Pepto-Bismol for upset
02:27stomachs, Tylenol or Advil, something for headaches and pains.
02:31Also, Band-Aids, because you'll be surprised how intense you might cut
02:34yourself or maybe with all of the walking, your shoes rubbed the wrong
02:38way and you just need that Band-Aid on your heel to save it so you can enjoy
02:41more of Paris and walking around there.
02:43But a little first aid kit can make a big difference.
02:46Now another thing to throw in, which is one that Jocelyn has recommended
02:49many times, is throw in an extra pair of underwear.
02:52If you're doing check bags in your carry-on, throw an extra pair of underwear.
02:56If you're only doing carry-on, throw in an extra pair of underwear.
02:59Because believe me, you might want to have a clean pair sometimes.
03:02And since luggage does get lost, and your luggage has all your clothes and
03:06your underwear, when you're sitting at your hotel with just your carry-on bag or
03:09your purse or whatever, having those extra undies makes it a lot easier to
03:13go see the city the next day than having some stinky junk and some
03:16stinky underwear.
03:17And then the sixth thing I have for you is something that people tend to
03:20forget, and I'm telling this to remind you to don't forget this, is your
03:24phone adapter.
03:25Yes, your phone adapter, because you plug your phone in overnight, and then
03:28you leave and you forget to grab your adapter from the plug next to your bed.
03:33That's something you want to make sure you have, and actually what we do is we
03:36actually have a travel adapter that works in multiple countries that has USB ports,
03:40like USB-C, USB-A, all those different ones on there.
03:43So I can plug in a computer, I can plug in my, uh, USBs and all those things,
03:47charge my phone and the kids' phones all at the same time, because when you travel
03:50around, a lot of hotels don't have a lot of plugs there.
03:53So maybe you only have one plug, but if you can plug multiple devices into it,
03:57it'll make your life so much easier, okay?
03:59So those just six little things I think are important to remember to pack that
04:03people tend to forget to pack at the end.
