00:01Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday he expects to meet his U.S. counterpart
00:06Donald Trump by the end of September, as Washington steps up efforts to revive negotiations to end
00:12Russia's full-scale invasion. Zelensky said securing additional U.S. air defense missiles
00:17would be a key issue at the meeting, with Kyiv seeking an urgently needed winter package of
00:22anti-ballistic missile interceptors. The announcement comes after U.S. envoys Steve
00:28Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Moscow and Kyiv over the weekend, where Zelensky said they
00:33discussed Ukraine's shortage of advanced air defenses. Zelensky spoke as Russia launched
00:40another attack on Kyiv, following the expiration of a three-day halt in attacks for the visit of
00:45the U.S. envoys. There was no immediate breakthrough in the talks, but Zelensky said there were hopes
00:52to resume trilateral talks with the U.S., Russia and Ukraine in the coming weeks.
00:58And we'll see you soon.
