00:30It's this huge goal of ours, and to do it with somebody that you're in love with.
00:34It just felt special.
00:37It's really hard to leave my kids.
00:41What do you guys think? You want to go with us?
00:43Climb at an 8,000 meter peak?
00:45It only takes like a month to get to the top.
00:49The first thing we need to do is put together the right team.
00:52These Sherpas have climbed Everest 10, 15 times.
00:56But there's a lot more unknowns on the direct north face.
01:00Then why do it?
01:01How many people have eaten at our dinner table who have died?
01:04That might take a while.
01:07I've suffered a lot of loss in my life, and the mountains have always helped me keep going.
01:12To be a part of sharing how Jim's been able to deal with such incredible loss.
01:18It's pretty amazing.
01:19That sort of emotional relationship on an expedition.
01:23I think that is how we move forward.
01:26This is all no fall zone.
01:29There's active avalanches.
01:31You have a broken leg.
01:32No.
01:37Was there a part of this that was supposed to be fun?
01:39It's the part when you get down and you tell the stories.
01:42Oh, right.
01:46It's an experience like nowhere else.
01:53The higher you get in elevation, there's this connection.
01:59And I don't feel anywhere else.
02:03Even if we make it to the top, I have to ski down the 9,000-foot face.
02:10Oh, my God.
02:11We love you, brother.
02:14I love you, too.
