00:13service till some time back and it's been more than three decades since I've been working
00:20as a government servant and I have realized in the past 12 years, 3 months that the manner
00:27in which it's not just a double engine government, it is a government where a lot of development
00:33has taken place, where officers actually need to take notes and study before coming and
00:39attending a meeting.
00:40So I firmly believe that this is one party where and as it is my retirement was not very
00:46far away so under the given circumstances I felt that if I get a platform it will be better
00:51to work for the people, we've always been working as civil servants we work for the people and
00:55we look for a platform all the time.
00:58So this is another platform and I think given the platform I would be able to serve people
01:03better because that would be from a position where the ruling party is in place.
01:11So in my opinion this is a very good place for public service.
01:17Sir, could you please let us know that BIPO election will be going on on the 6th of October.
01:25So are you going to be a participant or are you going to be a candidate?
01:28You see in BJP, I am very new to it but so far as I know there is no deal
01:35which is made,
01:36it is a relationship which is made.
01:38So in a relationship you do not look for deals.
01:41Given the chance, I have not, you know, it would be very wrong to say that I do not desire
01:47to be but I have not formally asked for a party ticket as the party president has said.
01:52But yes, given the chance I would like to serve but that would entirely depend on the party

01:59Having said that, it is not a deal between me and the party.
02:03It is an intention to serve the people and in whatever capacity I am asked to do, I would
02:09be very happy to do it.
02:10Sir, lastly, Congress has made a serious allegation that and also sending a letter to ECIC also

02:21I take it as a blessing because you see that Kaveer ji had said Nindak Neda Rakhyo.

02:29So you see they have, they will, they have every right to criticize and find faults but then
02:35I know it for sure that I have not done anything wrong.

02:41I do firmly believe in the election commission and if I have done anything wrong, the election
02:47will take action against me.
02:49But as a government servant, having served the government for the last 34 years, I don't
02:53think I have done anything wrong.
02:55And these allegations about, you know, misusing the government machinery, I don't think it
03:01is correct because I had submitted my resignation the moment I thought that I would, you know,
03:06I would take a political option.
03:08So under the given circumstances, I was, you know, the whole process takes a certain amount
03:13of time because you need to take clearance from different departments.
03:16And that is the reason why I was still working there.
03:18And when the honourable election, the chief election officer comes, it is my bounden duty to brief
03:25him about it.
03:25It's not that, I mean, it would be a totally wrong interpretation to say that, you know,
03:29I've been misusing my powers.
03:31We had that and the pictures and the visuals which have been submitted, which have been shown
03:35by the Congress party, our visuals and pictures which we had made it public, it was very much
03:42there in our public platform.
03:43And had there been anything to hide, we would not have done it.
03:46So it, you know, it is a very wrong notion, but still, they have the right to say, I would
03:51not like to, you know, criticize and you see, we as gentlemen officers, we don't hit below
03:56the belt.
03:58And now do we come up with false allegations, right?
04:00So they have every right to do whatever they have done, we will not do it.
