00:17and that hunger makes it harder for families to follow health protocols and support the wider response.
00:23Stevenson further said more than 500,000 people in Ituri are facing IPC Phase 4 hunger,
00:31just one step away from starvation and once the outbreak is moving faster than the response.
00:38The World Food Programme is already helping with logistics, humanitarian fights, supply chains and hot meals at treatment centres.
00:45It is also helping build treatment centres, but Stevenson said more resources are urgently needed to get food assistance to
00:53remote areas
00:54and support the communities mostly affected by Ebola.
00:57DRC has seen a recent wave of Ebola virus that has swept across many regions, especially in the east.
