The world knew her as Siren but the new documentary asks how well audiences really knew Shelley Beattie. The trailer looks beyond the larger-than-life American Gladiators persona to explore the woman behind one of the show’s memorable competitors.

Siren: The Voices of Shelley Beattie examines the life and complex legacy of Beattie a deaf professional bodybuilder who rose to national attention in the 1990s as Siren on American Gladiators.

Siren: The Voices of Shelley Beattie premieres September 22, 2026, on HBO Max.
