00:00Listen, I was a little skeptical here of the ability of maybe Patrick Mahomes making it back
00:07and playing a full season. And even if he did come back, I'm not pretending like this is going
00:13to be the same old Patrick Mahomes here. We don't know what we're going to get, although we have
00:17seen folks with this injury before maybe a little bit different here. Now, I'm wondering, you went
00:24out and invested in a championship running back. I'm going to assume Andy Reid going to go a little
00:30more run this year, or what do you think we're going to get from Kansas City?
00:35What I said about the Seahawks is something along, you know, similar thought process I have about the
00:40Chiefs, where it's not about coming out, flying, setting a bunch of offensive records and Mahomes
00:47winning the MVP. It's about what does the team look like when December 1st rolls around, right?
00:52Be healthy once December 1st rolls around, and you kind of go from there. And looking at their
00:56schedule, they start week one at home on Monday night versus Denver. They play Indy. They play at
01:03Miami and at Las Vegas. So those first four games, I'm thinking a minimum two wins. Miami, Las Vegas,
01:11yes, they probably can beat Indianapolis. They may lose versus Denver. Then week five, they have the
01:15bye, Joe. And the next three games after the bye are the Chargers at Seattle, at Denver. So
01:21November 1st rolls around, they could be looking at having three losses, four losses potentially.
01:29Then they have a pretty easy run in their schedule. So my point being when it comes to the Chiefs,
01:33I am, if you're looking to invest in the Chiefs, you should wait until in-season. They may pick up
01:37a
01:37few losses here or there, but as long as they look good, the ball has to be rolling going into
01:42December.
01:43Not right now. When they beat up on Miami or Las Vegas, that doesn't matter. It matters how they look
01:47come December.
01:50Yeah. I'm wondering the up-tempo. Is it still going to be there? Are we going to be moving
01:56chains, shortening games, or are we just going to be rolling him out and live or die on Patrick
02:02Mahomes here? I don't know. Because I don't know what that mobility is going to be like here,
02:08Tom. I think that's maybe the most interesting part is what to do. But I know this,
02:15less running. I mean, they've been about less running and more throwing, but they have not
02:20been able to. Once Tyreek Hill left, this offense has been fundamentally different because they
02:27didn't really have somebody that can stretch the field and do what he was doing. Can he do it this
02:34year? I don't know. Is Rice available? Is he not? He's available for now. So that's a good thing.
02:42To your point, they brought in Ken Walker. And I think Walker is going to have a huge year. I
02:48really
02:48do. And they brought him in for a reason. And listen, teams are going to pay forward if they try
02:55to run a cover three, because then Ken Walker is going to run crazy if it's a light box. And
03:01then
03:02if it's a light box, Patrick Mahomes, once he gets his legs truly under him, that's when the play action
03:07comes into play. And that's when they exploit it deep down the field with Rice or Kelsey up to
03:11scene. So I think the Chiefs are set up to have real offensive success. Again, it may not come
03:16right away. It may take some time to get rolling, but I think Ken Walker is in for a huge
03:20year. I
03:21really do. I was looking at his touchdown prop. It's only seven and a half. It was juiced at minus
03:25130 to the over. But Ken Walker could have 10 touchdowns this year. I really believe he can.
