00:00Deep drop. Underwood. Five seconds left. Underwood is going to toss it towards the end zone. Into the crowd. And
00:06out of bounds. Time expires.
00:11And it's done before anybody touches it. There's one second remaining in the game. Third down.
00:18To throw away the hope for the Broncos. On third down. Deep drop. Going to unload it. Towards the end
00:24zone. Into the crowd. And it's caught.
00:29And J.J. Buchanan. Touchdown. A miracle at Michigan Stadium.
00:37This game will go down in history, history, history. I don't know if it's in a positive way. But it
00:41will go down in history for certain.
00:44And bottom line is we're one and all. But the reality is we have got a lot to fix. A
00:50lot of things to address.
00:51You know we came up one play short at the end. And I think that that shows you you got
00:56to play until you know the final whistle.
00:58Until no matter what happens there at the end. We were able to defend one Hail Mary. And they get
01:03the chance at two Hail Marys.
01:05I know when I looked up at the clock. It was past zeros before we touched it. I knew that
01:12they would review it.
01:13It was the last play of the game. And because we defended it so well. Wasn't worried or concerned about
01:20our guys going out and defending it the second time.
01:23And you know unfortunately we did not defend it as well the second time.
01:28What happened at the big house in Ann Arbor on Saturday nights was a complete and utter travesty.
01:34Western Michigan got robbed. Hosed. This was an embarrassment of epic proportion.
01:40I have never in my entire life seen something as bad as what we witnessed on Saturday night.
01:48The game was over. The clock hit zero. Western Michigan won.
01:54That's how Noah Eagle called it on NBC. I shut the TV. People took to X and Instagram and said
02:03congrats to Western Michigan.
02:06A terrible loss by Michigan at home. And then the Big Ten decided you know what?
02:12We need Michigan to win this game.
02:15That was the worst thing that I've seen from an officiating crew, from a conference, I mean, that I've ever
02:23seen in my entire life.
02:25And then, and this really bothered me, based upon the statements on Saturday, and then what they had NBC read
02:35on Sunday during the Notre Dame and the Wisconsin coverage.
02:41The fact that you tried to gaslight us into thinking that a clock at the end of the day on
02:48television is not the actual clock.
02:52That's a disgrace. Don't gaslight me. Don't try and tell me that when a clock hit zero, it's not really
02:59zero.
03:00Don't make us all out like we're the fools when you guys screwed the whole thing up.
03:05And let me ask you this in reverse. If Western Michigan was on offense and they threw a Hail Mary
03:12and it got batted down, would you give Western Michigan another play?
03:16No. This was about Michigan. This was about the Big House. This was about the Big Ten.
03:22What a complete and utter disgrace. This was the biggest highway robbery in the history of athletics. Seriously.
03:31And Western Michigan, these players, they had their moments. It was their time to shine. Their win. Their Appalachian State.
03:39Everyone remembers where they were when Michigan was upset a lifetime ago.
03:43This was, and it's Western Michigan, Michigan. So it matters even more to this coach, these players, these fans, this
03:51athletic department going up against Big Bad Michigan in Ann Arbor.
03:55Please. What a joke. I mean, look at this. Look at the time of possession numbers. Look at the penalties.
04:02Look at what transpired with the turnovers.
04:06Western Michigan won this game. They got robbed. Absolutely robbed. And the fact that they tried to tell us all
04:14day on Sunday, well, when a clock hit zero, it's not really zero.
04:18No, please. That's one of those. I don't even understand the other side of the equation. Sometimes something like this
04:23happens in sports. Like, well, if this, then that. No.
04:27That game was finished in the books. A historic upset. That is an absolute just disgrace. I've never seen anything
04:38like that in the history of sports.
04:39I don't even know a Michigan fan. Everyone knows a Michigan fan. Everyone knows a Michigan alum. There is not
04:44one person I know who went to Michigan or roots for Michigan that feels good about this.
04:50The game was over. Absolutely disgraceful. Beyond disgraceful. And after all that, Bryce Underwood, for better or worse, making one
05:00of the most memorable throws in Michigan history, his head coach does not exactly have his back in the aftermath.
05:06He's our QB right now. And, you know, it's not something that's infinite. I mean, at some point, you know,
05:13we've got to turn a corner and we've got to see improvement as we do with a bunch of stuff.
05:19We've got to see improvement out of the coaches. And so it's not just on Bryce. And it's not just
05:25Bryce's job that is not absolutely set and concrete. Nobody's is. And we've got to perform week in and week
05:31out.
05:31Bryce Underwood stats, awful, feel even worse. And when you have a backup quarterback whose last name is Carr, yeah,
05:41you better at the end of the day, considering Lloyd Carr is his grandfather and CJ is playing for Notre
05:47Dame and not Michigan.
05:49Bryce Underwood was supposed to be the second coming. Let me tell you something. He looks dreadful.
05:54And if I'm Kyle Winningham and you know you got away with it, in no universe is he going to
06:00be your QB1 for a prolonged period of time.
06:03So I think what Winningham said, what he didn't say, was noteworthy because Michigan got the win.
06:12And I'll put that in air quotes because I refuse to acknowledge it.
06:15But Kyle Winningham knows that Bryce Underwood, atrocious. Offensive line, atrocious. Team was sloppy.
06:23So Winningham is going to have a short leash here with Mr. Underwood, as he should.
06:28A stunning result of a different variety took place in Baton Rouge on Saturday night, where Lane Kiffin was making
06:34his debut as the LSU head coach.
06:37Despite being up 31-3 at halftime, Kiffin was not satisfied.
06:42All right, guys, we started here like seven, eight months ago, whatever it was, all right?
06:47And we asked you to work really hard, okay?
06:50And we asked you to come back to work again and again and again, okay?
06:54Do you feel good about what happened?
06:55I don't know.
06:56Who gives a fuck what happened?
06:58That's what's supposed to happen.
06:59Ain't no fucking celebrations for that.
07:02They're fucking soft.
07:03They were different.
07:05We're fucking different.
07:07So you got to show them again.
07:09They're going to come out.
07:11It doesn't matter what plays they run.
07:13It doesn't matter what they do on offense, defense.
07:15Put the next motherfucking quarterback in.
07:17I don't give a fuck.
07:19You send them a fucking message.
07:21Who the fuck is on their schedule?
07:25They have to play you.
07:27And don't think we're letting up late.
07:30No matter if you're in a game for one snap or 50 more snaps.
07:34You fucking take it out on them.
07:36The whole fucking world hates you.
07:38So you get a chance to show the whole world, go fuck yourself.
07:42Kripton just had to see it right now.
07:44Team on three, one, two, three.
07:46Team.
07:47Lane Kiffin is one-on-one.
07:49Whether you love him, whether you loathe him.
07:50And honestly, for me, it's always both.
07:54Lane Kiffin's a hell of a coach.
07:55And as slippery as he is and equipped at halftime that, you know,
08:00what if we would have played, you know, the pros in the game.
08:03He's one-on-one, man.
08:04One-on-one.
08:05This was an ass-kicking.
08:06This was a drubbing.
08:08The ability for LSU to steal the soul from Dabo Swinney.
08:12And Clemson was remarkable.
08:15You look at LSU.
08:17You look at Sam Levitt, a quarterback.
08:19You look at how they played in every single phase.
08:21You look at how dominant and how determined they were.
08:24You look at the energy of the crowd, everything about it.
08:27This is why we told you that Lane Kiffin's team at the end of the day would make the college
08:33football playoffs.
08:34And this is not me overreacting to one game week one.
08:38This is exactly what we predicted before the season started here on Shine Time.
08:42And sometimes stats lie.
08:44These stats do not.
08:45I mean, I don't know what my favorite one is.
08:48I think it's the rushing yards and the disparity.
08:50I mean, that's what I mean when you start talking about running the ball, inability to stop the run, stealing
08:57a team's soul.
08:58That's how you do it.
08:59I mean, that was an ass-kicking of epic proportion.
09:03That's Lane Kiffin in a nutshell.
09:05Halftime comments to the press.
09:07And the way his team goes out, kicks ass, takes names.
09:12That's LSU football in 2026 personified.
09:16That's LSU football in 2026 personified.
