00:01Est-ce que c'est pour toi ?
00:04Wow !
00:05Prenez son clap à elle, s'il vous plaît !
00:08Let's go ?
00:10Georgia, comment vas-tu ?
00:13Je suis très bien, merci. Comment vas-tu ?
01:32this music out in a party or in the dance in a club so yeah i think yeah i just
01:39i make what i
01:41want to make and since we put out little things me and p2j we've been talking about you know why
01:48don't we make some more music like in this world and like just more dance music so that was 2023
01:54and we were just going back and forth for two years just talking about like the sounds the
02:00feelings and what we wanted to create and then we created it is it because like you you partied a
02:06lot during these three three years and you wanted to have like the best the best soundtrack for this
02:12night do you know i like a party i like throwing a party i don't party loads um but no
02:17i think it
02:17just was the music that i was drawn to wanting to make listening to yeah is that like for you
02:27when
02:28you for a party what is the best artist that you want to listen to when you go out that's
02:34best
02:34yeah what is the best like the what what what yeah what does the dj have to play for you
02:41to dance
02:42uh okay then for some funky some garage yeah some house whether it's funky house or soul house afro
02:51house that's yeah that's my ideal party and some dance hall as well but i don't have any of that
02:59on
02:59my album because i was gonna say like yeah you can just play my album yeah yeah exactly that's actually
03:04you're just describing your album yeah basically um i i i think like in the previous interview that
03:10you said um you wanted to have the feeling of just being a new artist is this album because this
03:18album
03:18also is very different from the previous one in terms of music but also in terms of just topics
03:23that you that you explore did you wanted to yeah have the feeling of like like you were a new
03:29artist
03:29in the game i forgot i said that
03:35no i no i didn't want to feel like a new artist again i just wanted i just wanna
03:44i don't know how to explain it i don't really think about it okay but i didn't think about i
03:48know i said
03:49that but okay i wasn't thinking about that making this i was just i was so excited as soon as
03:54p started
03:55playing me all these the music that he'd worked on from us going back and forth i just was like
04:00so excited to sing and just was like gravitated to like everything he played and just went off that
04:08energy you know everything's quite moving forward with everything so i'm also asking this question
04:15because i think now it's been more than 10 years that we know you as an artist so it's it's
04:23starting
04:23to be like a long career actually because you've been here for a long time now you've seen artists
04:29that come and go and sometimes they come back and i have the feeling that you maintain a certain level
04:35of you know like of anticipation for your album of success um is it hard for because for like my
04:46point
04:46of you it's like you've been here and since the beginning it's perfect but i'm sure it's not the
04:52case when you're in your in your shoes if this path has been out for you to just maintain this
04:59level
04:59of quality and also of of success and of anticipation um well it's not been hard to make music which
05:08is
05:08what i've been doing from the beginning and like what i love doing i guess the hard things are like
05:15um growing up in front of people but that's just life and you're talking about that yeah not just
05:22life because you don't have to grow up in front of like the world normally i don't know but it's
05:26my
05:26life but um yeah no again i think i'm still because i'm still in it and i'm still on this
05:35journey like
05:36sometimes it does feel like the beginning still like okay so
05:42yeah times have been hard but i don't i mean there's a lot of times so i don't know yeah
05:49but
05:50because you say it's your life but like growing in front of people it's not normal actually no do you
05:56know i think that the thing that i was getting my head around is that like it's not normal to
06:00have
06:00like loads so many opinions on you yeah you know it's it's a lot it can be a lot and
06:07i've learned to
06:10like just not care not not care care less but like knowing that okay it's okay to feel the way
06:22about
06:23the world like people having so many opinions on you it's good and bad um yeah again still figuring
06:32it out but i feel very much like i'm i'm handling it well yeah and i don't know it was
06:41when you
06:42first signed in labels and stuff but i'm sure the industry may have a lot of projection on you and
06:49i wanted maybe to to for you to be some kind of pop star stuff like that and when i'm
06:55watching you
06:55i have the feeling that you're really free like this album seems really free in terms of creativity
07:02but it has always been the case like i don't have the feeling that you try to look like someone
07:09that
07:09you're not and i'm sure it can be hard for a young singer for a young woman in this industry
07:15um and i have the feeling that you you you you remain free actually and you have always been
07:21yeah i have and i'm lucky because i'm independent and have an independent label called fam and we've
07:29yeah just been able i've been able to
07:34we and me have been able to just figure it out and keep just
07:40just yeah figure it out as we go yeah um which i guess is hard too but
07:46yeah we're very it's very free i don't know any different though so i can't talk from
07:52having experience being in with a label but what we're doing is fab and going really really well so
08:01yeah just keep going doing it this way you the day like we are doing this interview you just
08:08released a new video with with kid um my first question about that like is why with kid because
08:15like this combination is really great and even in the video like we kind of feel like a certain
08:22chemistry between you how did it like happen this this track with him well this song actually is the
08:28oldest one on the album because we actually started this one in 2023 okay p ptj text me
08:36because he was the producer yeah with the producer he was in studio with wiz it was for his for
08:41his last
08:42album okay um they were working on it was in london i was in warsaw but i was free so
08:49we drove up
08:50and um yeah we made this song together in the studio and then it didn't work on his album
08:56and then when me and p got together again in 2025 we were going to skip we and when we
09:02put it on the
09:03list of songs for the album yeah and it just works i think like you know you never know it's
09:10same as
09:10meeting anyone you don't know if you're gonna you know connect or have be on the same page and
09:17yeah it works the song works the video works everything works and the video i think part of the video
09:24we shot it in paris on the hottest it was like 39 degrees it was that day like it was
09:29like last week
09:30okay wait was it like yeah it was last week okay or two yeah oh my gosh it was last
09:35week that's
09:35gone so fast yeah it's quite good shooting sometimes yeah when it's you shoot it then it comes out you
09:42you don't have to like that anticipation why why paris why paris so the director gabriel he was
09:49from paris okay and you know i think it suited the okay why paris one of the directors in paris
09:55and whiz kid was in paris and that was the one day that we could shoot together so that's why
10:01i
10:01go to paris you say he was in london you were in warsaw warsaw is your um where you were
10:07born from
10:07exactly and you came back i think for the previous album i think we talked about that yeah yeah last
10:13time and you're still there back and forth okay i've like fallen back in love with london again and
10:19maybe because i'm also in a campaign mode you know you kind of need to be in london for things
10:27like
10:28same way as i'm in paris right now but you needed to live to love again yeah and i needed
10:34like i hadn't
10:35been at home and stayed put for ages so it was just nice to like not that i ever needed
10:42grounding
10:43but well yeah we all do but like yeah just needs to go home to just reset it's interesting because
10:50when we talk about london i have the feeling that now especially maybe younger generation like there
10:56is a real connection between london in paris even like in artists when i grew up and i was listening
11:01to
11:01french rap and there are no collaboration between french rappers and uk rappers now it's really more
11:08present for central c but it's not the only one ad1 a lot of them and um and even like
11:14for the 21 we have
11:16the famous fedela music from the june 21 we have a lot of people from london coming um do you
11:23i know because you're traveling a lot and you know these two cities of course you know more london but
11:28do you feel like i don't know common points between these two cities and how do you explain this
11:34link between these two cities oh i don't know i don't know what the link is but i always feel
11:40like an enormous amount of love when i come here um yeah i don't know yeah you've always been very
11:48popular yeah in france i have yeah and yeah maybe it's just reciprocated we we love each other back
11:54yeah you're talking about p2g with the producer and you've been working with him for a long time
12:00now but when you wanted to like do this album and explore these vibes what was the beginning like
12:08was it you just seeing melodies was it him who produce stuff how do you create music together so for
12:16this album because we'd already spoke about what we were going to do and to be fair first was like
12:22oh you know let's make like a ep like four songs for like dance shoes whether it's like funky yeah
12:28funky house was baseline garage and then that so we spoke about that in 2023 then we're just chatting
12:36back and forth we're both busy he's busy then 2025 september we're like should we get in the studio and
12:43like
12:44just make some music hang out make some music eat some good food because we both like eating good
12:50food yeah and i come to the studio on a monday and he's like okay i've you know he's been
12:58cooking
12:59he's got some this music to play i was like he played everything he played i just wanted to sing
13:05yeah yeah no to be fair he played like two things i was like nah stop let's go back to
13:10the first one
13:11let me record and i like um to so he's playing songs i'm like instantly got ideas so i'm like
13:20okay
13:20let's record so i'll just sing literally i'll just sing and what comes out comes out whether it's
13:27phrases that make sense or yeah so you don't write or you write maybe later i write after okay yeah
13:34for this particular album um so yeah we just i just recorded melodies and melodies and melodies and
13:41then we structured them into songs so you know shortlisting like six minutes worth of melodies
13:48as i only want two minutes or three minutes which can be a bit hard but it's nice doing it
13:53with someone
13:53because they can hear stuff that i sometimes don't like oh is that chorus does that sound like a verse
13:59or not um oh yeah sometimes you don't really know what will be the chorus or you just sing and
14:05yeah
14:06i'm sometimes a bit find that a bit hard sometimes um but yeah so then um yeah that's how we
14:13started
14:14this and then we had like 13 songs that we'd structured and then i was like okay let's get into
14:22writing this but because i like knew i wanted this to come out in summer okay um i knew i
14:30kind
14:30of had a deadline without having a deadline yet because we were still in the early yeah you know
14:35we thought it was going to be oh i missed that information out you know i thought it was going
14:39to be just a little project and then when p played everything i was like wow this is incredible like
14:44okay i think this is an album and after the first two days i was like oh i was really
14:49gas really
14:49excited telling everyone oh yeah this is an album then i was like to p oh do you think we
14:54should
14:54get back in i don't know if i'm just gassed or like this is good so we got back in
14:58again and did like
14:59a few more songs um and then yeah i knew that i wanted it completed but sometimes
15:05like writing can take a while sometimes for me if i was like oh no i'll be trying to write
15:11about
15:11something that hasn't even happened to me yet so i can't just wait like two years for something to
15:15happen or you know if i want this to come out at certain times so i like to collaborate when
15:21i'm writing so i hit up like some friends that i like writing with so there's maverick say by ed
15:25thomas my friends hope and millie who are called the katanas um there's a new writer that work we
15:32called clement she's either called clementine douglas or clementi clementine i think it's clementine
15:39douglas and am i missing any hold on i'm missing any friends that was your dream team yeah this was
15:47my dream team so reached out um and then that was in like from september to december reached out to
15:55my friends worked with them and it's nice because i like writing with people because you're just
16:00chatting and also i haven't seen some people for a while so it was nice to just catch up yeah
16:05chat yeah
16:06and then just from the demos and all the melodies you know there's certain things that i was saying
16:13like track one i keep saying for life i was singing for life it's called for life and then um
16:19me hope
16:20and millie were just talking about things and i was saying arch this is just making me think of like
16:24a conversation i had with um a cousin and she was talking about a friend of hers who just is
16:32always
16:32asking for help but doesn't help themselves and then we started talking about that and people in
16:36our lives that i like that and then one thing led to another then we've written a song yeah and
16:40so
16:41yeah that's kind of the whole process of this album the way you're talking about what it feels like
16:47just fun and you are with your friends and just making what you love it means music does it feel
16:53sometimes like a job making music not making it okay it's no it's that not making interviews maybe stuff
17:01like that that's that's okay i don't take it personally no do you know i'm trying to enjoy
17:05these more because they can be fun it's just like um i know i'm so comfortable behind a microphone when
17:13there's music yeah playing and i'm singing we can play music and i'm singing that would be perfect you
17:19know i've never tried but but um no i do you know what when there's when there's deadlines that's when
17:27it's a bit like you know you want to create and just go with the flow and not have any
17:32like time
17:33constraints or anything but there has it is work so that and if you want to put stuff out things
17:39need
17:40to be put in place so you know make everything go smooth so that's the only time when creating can
17:45feel a bit like okay we're on the clock okay just only that bit you you said like at the
17:50beginning
17:51it could have been an ep maybe not an album just a small project now it's an album um do
17:57you have
17:57the feeling that now also you are a certain point in your career when you can do whatever you like
18:03in terms of album okay you've been always free you're independent but you know sometimes in the
18:07career when you do your first album there's a certain amount of pressure people are waiting stuff
18:13for you it has to work you know uh even the second album you have to confirm if the first
18:18and i have
18:19the thing that now of course you want your album to please people and you want success that's normal
18:24but i have the feeling that actually when i listen to this album i don't um i don't feel like
18:32a
18:32strategy or you don't want to please the radios and maybe you will of course you will be playing the
18:38radio but i have the thing that now you're at a point when you can do exactly what you like
18:44without
18:44any sort of pressure maybe i'm wrong but i don't feel the pressure in an album like that
18:51maybe it's come with age and growing as well because my first album was 21 and i'm 29 now so
19:01i think maybe that comes hand in hand of like you know i know myself more as a person and
19:09yeah i'm yeah and obviously i'm older yeah so yeah so i think that's because yeah i didn't feel like
19:20do you know what i feel the most pressure from myself if i'm honest so not from like
19:24what people are going to expect or want to hear so yeah and i think i'm a lot kinder to
19:30myself so
19:30now i'm just like have not not i was never having fun but yeah yeah but yeah definitely i think
19:38just growing and figuring myself out more definitely comes into i guess how i go about creating
19:48when you listen to your first album if you listen to it of course you play some tracks in concert
19:53but
19:53when you listen to it do you recognize the person that sings yeah i'm like oh she's out so young
20:01sometimes like if it's come up or i've heard yeah if i just i have to listen back to something
20:06um yeah
20:07i'll just be like oh you had no idea are there tracks that are hard for you to listen to
20:14maybe because
20:14it's hard or you don't the way you don't like the way you sing or maybe it's a topic that
20:19you don't
20:19want to listen to or not really no do you know sometimes before i wouldn't want to listen to
20:25myself like singing like older songs like listening to older songs of mine because i'll just critique
20:33them and be like why does it sound like that why did i sing it like this but it is
20:37that's a moment in
20:39time like let me just leave it alone so yeah when you back to the creation of this album um
20:46so of course
20:47you were working with your friends and p2g obviously but did you listen to some artists or some
20:52specific album maybe to to be in a specific mood no no specific album but um yeah we were send
21:02do
21:02you know what one song that um me and people talking about for one of the songs was sticky yeah
21:10boo boo boo by sticky and um yeah that just how big that tune is in terms of the sound
21:19the bass the
21:20feeling of that that was one song that we were talking about no there's a there's a bunch of
21:26tunes that we were throwing about um yeah okay it's one um it's interesting because you
21:34uh you don't do a lot of collaborations on your albums in terms of artists you you have one true
21:40collaboration but you you collaborate with some great artists like over your young career um
21:47of course drag can we come out branda boy whiskey now even people uh maybe less known for the french
21:53audience like davelyn on your new um new album um like how does it work because like i'm guessing there
22:03are some people that you don't know before like whiskey you said there's the chemistry and it
22:07works and the track is great um but how do you like choose if this is a like choose people
22:15that
22:16you're being you're going to collaborate with is people that you admire people that you that you just
22:21love the vibe how does it work that like people that i um people that i can imagine singing like
22:28okay
22:29say if i've got a song let's take be honest when i was in studio with um cadenza and izzy
22:36you kidding
22:36me we just kept hearing burn a boy so i was like i don't know him but let's reach out
22:42and see if he'd be
22:43down yeah and then it's it's great do you know i've been so lucky in all my experiences that everyone
22:49that i have done featured with like i have connected with them and we got on and it and it
22:53you just match
22:54their vibes so you know it's interesting also because you mentioned burn a boy is from nigeria
23:00like whiskey and i'm this is another topic but i'm thinking a lot about you know how like the new
23:07pop
23:07music looks like now and it's great because you know back in the days like the great pop star were
23:14from the us and sometimes the uk also it was mostly that people were internationally known were coming
23:22from america mostly and now it's it's not the case anymore of course we have some great pop star from
23:28there but it's great how the world as a new the pop world of a new face like exactly like
23:35bad bunny
23:36for example doing a show like this weekend in paris but it's the best example but it's not the same
23:42the the only one sorry i brought a boy with kid how do you look because maybe when you were
23:49a kid
23:50it was also mostly the us and now i have the thing that new generation for them
23:55pop star are from south korea from puerto rico from nigeria and it's really different and very
24:02exciting exciting and eye-opening yeah and like you know music is literally a universal language so yeah
24:09it makes sense that pop stars can be from all over the world exactly so yeah it's amazing that it's
24:16so
24:16different now yeah i'm thinking about it as well like wow yeah yeah that's crazy how it has changed
24:22like in a few years actually something that has changed also is the length of the tracks you know
24:27now it's less it's more short you you said before that you were doing tracks and it lasted six minutes
24:34and hopefully p2g is here to make it shorter but not make it too short i'm not trying to make
24:40viral
24:41tunes exactly that was the thing exactly that was my question and i mean if i if i was an
24:47artist
24:47maybe i would ask this question myself like how do i make something trendy because we talk a lot about
24:55tiktoks and how it has been important our tracks has to be short is it something that comes to your
25:00mind at at a point or never no no i enjoy like scrolling but i don't go i don't when
25:08i'm making music
25:08i'm so glad that i don't think of okay but i guess also not that this makes it any like
25:16i shouldn't
25:17need to think about it but i guess because i'm not a new artist i don't have that like yeah
25:21i'm not
25:22the start of my career where yeah it is you have to yeah so i'm kind of lucky that i
25:29don't have to think
25:30about that and i just hope that i can just put my sound on tiktok and someone might make a
25:37video
25:37with it or i can do that but no i just make whatever feels right to make lengthwise but you
25:45you like
25:45you you go a lot on tiktok as you're scrolling yeah i enjoy i do enjoy like laugh having a
25:52laugh
25:53and watching silly stuff how many hours of my screen time or your screen yeah oh i don't know
25:59my screen time it's not that bad though okay when i say it's not that bad i don't know what
26:03yeah you
26:04don't know what's bad what is the scale yeah but yeah it's crazy because like everybody's like
26:10five or six hours of it's crazy but it's mad we're gonna be developing like
26:15our films will be different in like 10 years time exactly is it um but does it can it um
26:22be a problem for creation like you know like being on your phones and is there rules in the studio
26:28like people are not allowed to do some specific stuff no but i kind of my phone is just on
26:34the
26:34side i'm not like you know i'm going there for a purpose i don't need to be like just checking
26:41the latest okay funny video but yeah i'm not like nobody use their phones okay like that just yeah okay
26:48you're smooth and yeah you know we're in the zone we're in the zone we're locked in
26:51back to p2j um what does he understand better than other people i'm not saying better because
26:59you don't work with everybody of course but no you could say yeah i just want to for this album
27:05explore something different and you're still with him and he managed to give you something different
27:10from the previous but what what does what happened with him oh do you know i really look up to
27:16him
27:16and he's just so he's a really really lovely kind person and just listens and i think
27:26i think we think in similar ways as well i overthink i think he gets that and um yeah from
27:37like i said
27:39we've been talking about creating this making this specific music together and i think he's the best
27:47well it was only him me and him that were talking about that so we did it and yeah i
27:53don't know how
27:54it's like you know you just click with someone and you just and it just makes sense and i think
27:59that's really important when you're creating you know you've got a you're on the same wave and
28:03you're riding out like yeah it's not awesome times to just work with friends no i can work with
28:11no i've come work with friends i'm lucky because dame dame for example they're my friends and that's oh that's
28:17they're again people that i've just connected with we just get each other and it just it just makes sense
28:23you don't have to think too much and you understand them they understand and but you're getting to
28:27know each other even more in the process of making music which is really beautiful too i've been lucky
28:33enough to watch see you perform a few times uh first i think it was in paris like in the
28:39days
28:40um but also in festivals and stuff like that and you you do a lot of some festivals for the
28:46summer
28:47is it something that you that you enjoy because there are the you talk also in previous interviews
28:53how you can be shy but something happens when you have a mic yeah in front of you so what
29:00does happen
29:01also what what is the magic because and how do you enjoy that i just love singing yeah i love
29:07singing
29:07my music but in front of people it's something else yeah i i guess i guess but like i love
29:17my band
29:18i love hearing them playing just just everything about just music and how music makes me feel and
29:26and i can do it in front of people as well i know when i first started it was a
29:30bit daunting like yeah
29:33but i guess it's quite um do you know what i love like seeing what my songs do like people
29:43singing
29:44along like yeah i don't know i don't know you know i don't i don't know what it is that
29:50keeps me coming
29:51back to the stage maybe it's i think it's a combination of
29:58the band and everyone who's there to support me or but also sometimes like you know you people
30:07you know if you're supporting someone or you're at a festival like you're gonna people will see you
30:13that don't know who you are or yeah you know i love that as well you're not finding new like
30:17you have
30:17to convince people yeah but yeah i don't know what is i just love singing i just wanted to ask
30:24your
30:24last question this is something that i i i love to ask people um if you like what is your
30:33the perfect
30:33album for if you had okay you know the desert island stuff and you had to you have to take
30:39one album
30:40what would it be my perfect album yeah that's a really hard question yeah that's the hardest question
30:48you can just say one and it's okay if you change your mind tomorrow but in the style of nostalgia
30:54ultra channel wow no because i wanted to say both of them i was going to say nostalgia ultra by
30:59channel
30:59orange yeah that one today because i was thinking about like being 14 yeah again and and it's that
31:11that that's moment of your life yeah and that's when i really decide like start thinking oh i want to
31:16make music i want to do what frank's do and i want to put out music so yeah that album
31:21you do you
31:22prefer channel orange or blonde it's a completely different time yeah that's really difficult it's
31:30different because there are two teams and both are both incredible albums i couldn't i love every i
31:36i love i'm a big frank ocean fan so i can't but today we're talking about nostalgia ultra okay yeah
