00:07This is iPhone Duo.
00:10To tell you more about the thinking behind the Duo's design, here are Molly and Steve.
00:16iPhone Duo is unlike any iPhone you've experienced before.
00:20It's entirely new and at the same time remarkably familiar.
00:25A similar size to your passport, it feels familiar to hold and comfortable to use with one hand.
00:32It's distinctive asymmetric shape with two rounded corners invites you to open it.
00:38The two sides connect into a continuous frame surrounding the largest iPhone display we've ever designed.
00:45Inspired by the versatility of iPad with a narrow uniform border creating a spacious inner display
00:52that's immersive for both landscape and portrait use.
00:56We wanted the experience of using iPhone Duo to feel uninterrupted.
01:01With two screens, the transition between open and closed had to be fluid and completely intuitive.
01:08To achieve this continuity, we designed iPhone Duo around a consistent aspect ratio
01:14that is the same across both displays.
01:17For the first time, the FaceTime camera is designed to fit discreetly behind the display,
01:23hidden until you need it.
01:25We've also designed a remarkable hinge which supports the centre of the display as it articulates,
01:31holding it flat when opened.
01:33The hinge mechanism has a custom variable torque profile
01:37which precisely controls opening and closing.
01:40The motion is designed to feel effortlessly smooth,
01:44combined with an integrated magnet array for a satisfying and secure closure.
01:50When open, it's our thinnest iPhone ever,
01:54enabled by an architecture that tightly packages key components into the camera plateau,
01:59providing space for an impressive battery system.
02:02The frame is made from aerospace-grade titanium,
02:06required for strength at this thinness,
02:09that's been precision machined and polished to an elegant mirror finish.
02:13The convenience of iPhone Duo is combining the utility of two products into one.
02:19The largest display for an iPhone in an incredibly compact, pocketable form.
02:24So far from the camera is in power compliant,
02:25Gracias.
