00:00We're down to four days until the Giants open their season at MetLife Stadium for some primetime Sunday night football
00:05against the Dallas Cowboys.
00:08This is your Blue Rush post-practice report, and I'm going to set the scene for today, Wednesday's practice.
00:14They were in full pads, but we, the media, the beat, we were only able to watch individuals.
00:20So that's warm-up and individuals.
00:22If we're talking about wide receivers, that's routes on air and going through some drills, catching some passes.
00:29If you're offensive linemen, it's about individual work with hand placement, foot movement, that sort of thing.
00:35So the video that you guys are seeing is from individual periods, and here's what's different during game week throughout
00:44the course of training camp and even OTA practices.
00:47The media is not allowed to watch practice at all.
00:52No 7-on-7s, no team periods, no special teams, none of that.
00:57So what we're able to do for you guys today for your Blue Rush post-practice report is we're going
01:03to give you some of the sounds from Coach Harbaugh and Jackson Dart,
01:08who spoke to the media today with their media availability.
01:12And we'll start with Coach Harbaugh because he talked about how ready his team is for this week one Cowboys
01:20matchup, specifically his quarterback, Jackson Dart.
01:23Well, I mean, I know he's prepared.
01:25I mean, you couldn't have prepared any more or any harder or worked any harder at it or been more
01:31determined to be ready.
01:32I know he knows the game plan, you know, and he knows – and quarterback's tough, man.
01:36You know, I marvel.
01:37I never played quarterback.
01:39You know, I was a defensive back.
01:41We didn't have nearly as many things to learn as these guys do.
01:43And those guys have a lot to know, all the quarterbacks do.
01:47And he's done a great job.
01:48He's worked really hard at it.
01:49I think he's diligent.
01:50He wants to do well.
01:52He wants to understand everything inside and out.
01:54He wants to be sharp and on point, and he's worked at it.
01:56So he's prepared to play.
01:58Now, I know there is a lot of back and forth online on people wanting to see more of Jackson
02:04Dart and this first-team offense get reps,
02:07specifically in this new Matt Nagy offense.
02:11Jackson Dart going into year two, his development, his production, his success.
02:15There's going to be a microscope on this kid, on the starting quarterback for the New York Football Giants in
02:212026.
02:22Well, luckily for the media, luckily for you at home, wondering where Jackson Dart is in his progression going up
02:29against the Cowboys week one.
02:31Jackson was able to speak to the media with his availability, and he spoke about his receiving core,
02:39specifically with Odell Beckham Jr.
02:41and how excited he is for week one to go up against the Cowboys in primetime football and, of course,
02:48his development going into year two.
02:51I feel like I'm not even the same person at all.
02:54You know, obviously the growth that you make from the experiences that you have from one year to the next.
03:00And I just feel like I've grown a ton through this offseason, so I feel comfortable.
03:05I feel like I'm seeing things really well, and, you know, this is going to be a really good test
03:09for our team.
03:10And with the team like the Cowboys, we're going to be really competitive.
03:13It's going to be great for us to go out there and compete.
03:15Well, there you have it.
03:16I wish I could give you guys more.
03:17I wish we could show you more, but it's game week.
03:20It's no longer OTAs.
03:22The spring is done.
03:23The summer training camp preseason, that's over.
03:25This Giants football team is getting ready to play a 17-game season, 17 games where this team is going
03:31to be able to show that they're not SOG, the same old Giants.
03:35You've got new leadership and a John Harbaugh.
03:37You've got Jackson Dart going into year two, and then you have Malik Nabors coming back from this ACL injury.
03:44People want to see where he is, but I think the eyes and the focus is going to be on
03:48this Giants defense under Denard Wilson.
03:50We've talked about it throughout length from the spring to the summer.
03:55Now it's time for this defense to show what they are and what they can be for the 2026 season.
04:01We'll talk about and break down this Giants-Cowboys matchup at length in our Blue Rush preview show, and that's
04:11going to air Thursday night.
04:12Myself, Paul Schwartz, and we'll have a guest or two on there as we break down this primetime matchup.
04:18But that's the end of your Blue Rush post-practice report by the New York Post Sports.
