00:02Alex, great tournament, valiant effort tonight, your thoughts?
00:07Yeah, thanks.
00:10Yeah, I think today my body just gave up.
00:15As I said, two days ago, I had it really difficult physically already against Francisco.
00:23I was on the verge of retiring.
00:25And today it was, yeah, it just kept getting worse.
00:30I was still feeling my rib a lot.
00:34My leg, I was still feeling my leg.
00:37And then in the second set, I blocked the nerve in my back, which, yeah, was even worse to move.
00:46I wasn't able to move too well already, and that made it even worse.
00:50So, yeah, I was just waiting for him to break me.
00:54You know, you never know what can happen.
00:59I was just waiting until the very end for me, which was realistic.
01:07And then, yeah, I didn't want to risk to make anything worse than it was already.
01:14I was wondering what the emotion is as all these things are happening.
01:20Are you sort of sad that it keeps happening?
01:22Are you angry that I already have this, now this, now this?
01:26What's in your mind there?
01:28To be honest, during the match, it was quite funny to me.
01:33I just had to laugh it off because it was just something new the whole time.
01:39I think it was just my body that started compensating as well.
01:44I was starting to do different motions than I usually do just to avoid the pain.
01:50And then, as you probably saw, my serve in the first set was, yeah, not as it usually is,
01:58just because I was afraid to feel a lot of pain.
02:01Then in the second set, I had the feeling that it was getting a little bit better.
02:06But, yeah, then my back got blocked.
02:09And then, yeah, I felt like the last two matches, I was more fighting myself in the head
02:18to somehow stay on the court.
02:24Yeah, compared to the previous matches, I was really focused on my tennis.
02:30and I was thinking more clear than the last two matches.
02:38I was just trying to survive more.
02:41And to be honest, I'm proud of how I played, even though I, yeah, wasn't,
02:50yeah, that I was far from my best physically.
02:54Yeah.
