00:00Anthony Gordon is already making an impression at Barcelona and former Everton and Newcastle players believe the winger is perfectly
00:10suited to life at the Camp Nou.
00:13Gordon made the move from Newcastle to Barcelona in the summer for a reported £69.3 million, ending a career
00:23in which he had represented just two Premier League clubs.
00:26He came through at Everton, making his first team debut as a teenager before moving to Newcastle in January of
00:352023.
00:38His start in Spain has been hugely encouraging. Gordon has registered four assists in his first four La Liga appearances,
00:48including two in just five minutes after coming off the bench against Elche.
00:53His pace, pressing and movement have quickly made him an important part of Hansi Flick's attacking options.
01:02Salaman Rondon, who played alongside Gordon at Everton, backed him to succeed before the move and said the winger was
01:11already professional and focused when they were teammates.
01:15The former Newcastle and Everton striker went further, predicting Gordon would tear up the league because Barcelona's possession-based approach
01:25should create the space he thrives on.
