00:07Welcome to Mojo Plays, and nothing lasts forever, apparently, not even if you pay for it,
00:14and games can become nothing but vaporware without any notice, or worse, no refunds.
00:19In the industry's continued push for an all-digital future,
00:23let's have a moment of silence for the games we've already lost.
00:35Before we continue, be sure to subscribe to our channel and ring the bell to get notified about our latest
00:40videos.
00:44Babylon's Fall
00:50Platinum Games built a stylish action game about falling through a tower and carving up angels with weapons
00:56that looked like they belonged in a museum fight, which should have been enough to keep players in
01:01the room, even if the story never matched the action. However, the catch was the always-online
01:07leash Square Enix bolted on, plus a live service loop that never found a crowd large enough to
01:13justify the login screen. When the servers died and the storefronts emptied, the whole thing vanished
01:18with them, and naturally, there was no offline campaign waiting underneath all the wreckage.
01:24The whole ordeal turned into a miserable black mark for a studio whose whole reputation is how good a
01:31fight feels in your hands. Recurring revenue ate into the one part of the game people actually
01:36wanted, then closed the tower and left a few players who gave it a chance a brand new coaster.
01:42Believe me or don't, that's up to you. But I expect you'll make the right choice.
01:49Aegis Wing. Aegis Wing appeared as a free XBLA shooter that felt like someone smuggled a proper
01:56arcade cabinet onto the 360 dashboards, with tight ships and co-op that didn't need a lecture before
02:02you could blow something up. The price tag was zero, which is how a lot of people found it on
02:08a boring
02:08weeknight and then assumed it would live on the dashboard forever. There was never a disc, so when
02:13Microsoft bricked the old storefront for new purchases, Aegis Wing became a ghost that only
02:19prior owners can still summon. New players get a search result and an error, which is a grim punchline
02:25for a game that asked for nothing except a controller. A free title should have been the easiest thing to
02:31keep alive, but instead, the one with no box is the one you can't buy back. And now, the only
02:37way to
02:38relive this classic throwback is in old clips. The day before. It looks like your pupils are
02:44responding and your hearing is intact. How are you feeling? One of the most public bait and switches
02:50of our time, Fantastic sold a trailer and a skyline, but shipped a scavenger hunt through other people's
02:56assets, which would be funny if the store pages hadn't treated it like a real product the entire time.
03:02The interesting part, if you squint hard enough, was the promise of a dense multiplayer city you could
03:09actually explore. Unfortunately, the reality was a launch so infamous it became a punchline before
03:15the servers had time to warm up, after which the whole operation shut down and the game stopped
03:21existing as something other than vaporware. The act of delisting here isn't some sad epilogue to a cult
03:28classic, its natural selection for a product that barely arrived, which still manages to be
03:33disappointing because the pitch was a place we all desperately wanted to be real.
03:38And thanks in advance for your help. Just take care of yourself and come back alive,
03:43and the rest doesn't matter, okay?
03:45Affordable Space Adventures
03:55The Wii U is a certified graveyard of lost games, but the wonderfully charming co-op puzzle
04:01game Affordable Space Adventures treated the gamepad like an actual spaceship dashboard instead of
04:07another gimmick, which is rarer than it should be. You'd sneak past scanners and argue about which
04:13button was the wrong one, then felt clever when the little craft didn't explode, and that loop made
04:19the hardware feel justified for once. It was digital only, so when the eShop closed, the adventure closed
04:25with it, unless you already own the download. Sadly, there were no additional ports and no updated
04:31Switch Rescue, which means a small smart game that understood co-op better than half the blockbusters of
04:37its year is now a save file on hardware Nintendo would prefer you forget.
04:41An affordable adventure at launch, but now priceless in the worst way after the storefront died and
04:47took the only legal copy with it.
04:50Isn't space dangerous? I hear you ask.
04:53With Zero, recorded accident since 1995, Uxplore is as safe as space travel can.
05:01Crimson Alliance
05:02Some say even now the cult of the Soul Siren survives, stronger than ever.
05:07We didn't know how good we had it back in the OG Xbox Live days. Certain Affinity made a chunky
05:14360
05:15action RPG that felt like a couch-friendly cousin of bigger loot grinds, with co-op slashing and a tone
05:22that never took itself too seriously. It lived on XBLA and never really got a second life when that
05:28generation ended. So after the store closed, it joined the pile of games you can only launch if the
05:34license is already sitting on an old account. The fights were never going to dethrone Diablo,
05:40but they were still fun on a Saturday, and that should have been enough to keep a buy button
05:44somewhere that wasn't a museum exhibit. Instead, the Alliance is now members only, and the members
05:51had to be there before 2024 when there was a dashboard that still knew how to buy and sell games.
05:57Exactly how long you been gone? You wouldn't believe me. I already don't believe you.

06:16Pokémon Rumble U
06:17This is the Wii U Rumble that wanted NFC figures and a living room brawl more than it wanted a
06:22giant
06:23cartridge pile, which made it feel more like a toy box than a rule book. The toys-to-life hook
06:28was
06:28goofy in a way that still looks charming, and the digital side did a lot of the heavy lifting while
06:33physical copies stayed limited. Of course, now the eShop is a tomb, so if you didn't grab it in time,
06:40you're permanently locked out of a weird little stadium where Pokémon bounce off each other like
06:44licensed beach balls. The mainline Pokémon games will be fine, yet this side quest is the one that
06:50needed the store to stay open. But Nintendo said it couldn't, which is how a silly stadium game
06:56became a prior ownership club with no new memberships. War of the Worlds
07:01This little phone game tied to Spielberg's 2005 Invasion movie, built for a phone that still had
07:07a numeric keypad in its personality and a ringtone that could ruin a bus ride, had no right to be
07:12as
07:12good as it was. The interesting bit was getting any kind of War of the Worlds interactive adaptation in
07:18that era of licensed mobile oddities, during a time when a tie-in could be a tiny campaign instead of
07:24a shop with a movie skin. Then, the app vanished. The old Java and early smartphone stacks aged out,
07:31and current devices treat it like a rumor you can't install. You can still watch the film in 4K,
07:37but you can't legally poke the tie-in that tried to put tripods on a tiny screen. The phones updated,
07:42some of the aliens left, and took the store listing with them, which feels on-brand, but is still
07:48annoying. Battlezone
07:56The 360 digital take on Atari's Vector Classic tried to put the old tank-in-a-bowl feeling into
08:02a living room download, which is a far cooler idea than it got credit for at the time. It never
08:08really
08:08escaped that dashboard in a form that modern storefronts tend to care about, so when the
08:13360 marketplace stopped being a place you could shop, the remake became another title that we
08:17hope you've already bought it style of digital game. The original Arcade Ghost is easier to talk
08:23about than this version is to start, and that's a miserable sentence for a name that helped invent
08:28looking through a periscope. The vectors of the original are famous, but now the 360 file is a
08:34souvenir tank stranded in a closed armory you can hopefully still take for a spin if you're lucky.
08:47Battlefield 1943
08:56DICE distilled their realistic World War II shooter into a tight digital arcade shooter with Wake Island,
09:03Iwo Jima, and planes you could steal in the time it took to make a sandwich. The price felt like
09:08a
09:08weekend, and the scope felt like someone had finally edited a Battlefield down to only the fun part.
09:14There was no disc and no campaign box to put on a shelf, so when the servers died and the
09:19listings went away, the whole toy box went with them. You can still play enormous Battlefield games
09:25that want your evenings forever, but never again will you be able to hop into this specific
09:30lean little war that a lot of people loved because it respected your time. Delisted and
09:35disconnected is a brutal combo for a multiplayer-only skirmish.
09:44Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma
09:56Ready at Dawn's follow-up that no one asked for arrived angrily incomplete and already looking for
10:02an exit, which is a rotten way to return to a world that had style to spare. Combining a rotten
10:08camera
10:08with sluggish fights and a story that ended before it earned the right to ask for more money became a
10:14D-list that turned the digital copies into a disappearing act after Versus Evil pulled the
10:19digital-only PS4 and Steam build within weeks of release. They even refunded the few people who
10:25bought it because leaving it up would have been another insult. There was never a disc to hide
10:30behind, so when the listing died, the game died and became a cautionary tale you can't even boot up to
10:36fact check, and one that was so embarrassed by itself that the publisher took it off the shelf and
10:41pretended the sequel had been a rumor.
10:43Now, your failings are mine!
10:49Kingdom Hearts Union X and Dark Road
10:51Square somehow turned the Kingdom Hearts series into an even more confusing timeline with game
10:56releases on nearly every system imaginable until even the phone games carry actual story weight,
11:02plus the sinking feeling that the important lore was living on a battery you were supposed to charge
11:07every night. So naturally, Square took the servers offline, the apps vanished from the stores,
11:12and there was no offline mode that mattered if you wanted the plot from the source instead of
11:17a recap wiki. If you weren't already in the Union, you couldn't officially get that chapter anymore.
11:23For a series that treats every side game like homework, the idea of erasing two of them is a
11:28special kind of insult to long-time fans. The Keyblade might open hearts, but it somehow
11:33couldn't keep an app listing alive. And those missing games are just another bit of lore that
11:38may never find its way back into the timeline. Anthem.
11:42Any advice?
11:43We'll eliminate them and find it.
11:45Blunt's but fair.
11:48Fresh off the failure of Mass Effect Andromeda,
11:51Bioware's flying javelin shooter had a loop that felt incredible for about an afternoon,
11:56when dropping off a cliff and firing a loadout made you look and feel like a badass,
12:01right up until your suit overheated every 30 seconds. The always online design meant that
12:06fantasy was rented from a server farm rather than stored on the disc you paid for. And in 2026,
12:12when those servers went dark, the case on the shelf became a coaster with a very expensive label.
12:17You can own it and still not play it, which is a whole different conversation about always online
12:22games and an early indication of the future we have to look forward to. A game about freedom of
12:27movement died because it refused to let you move without paying a mountain of microtransactions,
12:33which is somehow disappointing in the most boring corporate way possible.
12:37Now that I'm free, those memories are fading. But I do know you change things for all the freelancers.
12:44Good, bad. I don't know. But don't worry, I'll be there with you.
12:48Marvel heroes.
12:49Gazillion's loot grind lets you main a different Marvel character every night, from the obvious
12:54punchers to the deep cut weirdos who never got a solo movie, and that roster was the whole draw.
13:00It played like Diablo in a comic shop, complete with costumes you actually paid for because looking
13:05right mattered just as much as the legendary drop. However, when the studio died in 2017,
13:12the servers went with it, and Disney's license left the maps looking like a foreclosure. If you spent
13:17money dressing Deadpool, that receipt is now the only memorabilia from a game that no longer exists.
13:23The superhero fantasy is supposed to outlive a patch, but this one proved a live game can be
13:28unpublished the same way a series gets canceled between seasons. Except the seasons were your
13:34evenings and the cancellation wiped the city. Castlevania The Adventure Rebirth
13:45Konami gave Wii players a remake of their Game Boy Castlevania Adventure that was the rare official
13:51do-over that actually slapped, with tight whipping and a soundtrack that remembered the assignment.
13:56Christopher Belmont's portable slog finally felt like a real Castlevania instead of a punishment you
14:02took on vacation because there were no other good options. However, with the Wii Shop channel long
14:07dead, so too is the only good version of a famously mid-handheld game and remains locked to all but
14:13the
14:13players who already bought it. Yet another example of a game where you can't simply walk into a store and
14:19get Konami's own apology on a disc, because they never made one. Rebirth deserved a full physical
14:25release, but instead it got a download code and a closed casket, which is a grim way to bury one
14:31of
14:31the better official make goods they ever shipped.
14:39Lucidity The last original game from LucasArts was a sleepy hand-painted platformer about a little
14:45girl wandering a dream that didn't care if you kept up, and it was far prettier than the company's
14:50late-era reputation suggested. Digital only on PC and XBLA, it never had a box to hide in when the
14:57studio
14:57ended, and all the storefronts moved on. Lucidity became a title you talk about in the past tense
15:03unless an old library still has to file, and extinction is a strong word that just so happens
15:08to fit. The last new idea from a legendary studio shouldn't be harder to start than a Star Wars quote.
15:14The dream already had disappearing platforms, the store just joined them and took the legal ladder with it.
15:21Steel Battalion
15:30Capcom didn't delist a SKU so much as refused to let the actual product exist anywhere but a coffee
15:36table, which is a unique way to make a game unplayable without deleting a file. The giant
15:42controller is the game, from the pedals to the eject button that means it, and there is no digital
15:48version that includes that specific cockpit. Complete hardware sets are the only honest way to play what
15:54they shipped. So when people say it's gone, they mean the intended version rather than a disc you can
15:59theoretically boot with a normal pad. The problem becomes not only finding one, but finding one that
16:05is still functional after two decades in storage. The realistic immersion was the ignition, but post-war
16:11scarcity became the self-destruct button.
16:24God of War Betrayal
16:26Before Kratos became a dad with a boat and a mountain of character growth, he shrank his rage onto java
16:31phones as a side-scroller with the same God of War veracity, chain attacks, and ugly little set pieces
16:37that still somehow understood the grand spectacle of the franchise. The novelty was a prestige series
16:43slumming it in your pocket and somehow not embarrassing itself. Naturally, and unfortunately,
16:49it was never re-released and it is completely allergic to modern app stores, which makes it
16:54effectively extinct unless you enjoy emulator archaeology and old file extensions. Sony will gladly
17:00sell you the last two epics in 4K, but they won't sell you the weird mobile chapter that proved the
17:06God of War combat still work when the screen was the size of a business card. Infinity Blade Trilogy
17:21Epic crafted a showcase disguised as a game that used a phone to show off what Unreal could do if
17:26you swiped a sword like you meant it, with touch combat that felt expensive and a fantasy grind that
17:32didn't apologize for being portable. The trilogy of titles made mobile look like a real platform for
17:37a minute instead of just a candy crush machine compared to the real games. Pulled from the App
17:42Store in 2018, it left old accounts with a maybe re-download and new players locked out forever.
17:48That's a rotten monument for a series that existed almost purely to be shown off. The blades are still
17:54as sharp and playable as ever, but the App Store says you can't have them, and simply replaying what
17:59proved to be more than a novelty shouldn't require a time machine plus an Apple ID from a previous
18:05administration.
18:06I've made this world. I will un-make it as I please.
18:12CONCORD
18:19The writing was already on the wall for CONCORD, but Sony still released a hero shooter filled with awful
18:25character designs and a full price tag, only for natural selection to run its course and kill the
18:30game dead within only a couple of weeks. Sony went all in on CONCORD, even acquiring Firewalk Studios
18:37before they'd even shipped the game, all while ignoring the vocal outcry from their fans to not
18:42go down the live service path. Naturally, a game that no one wanted, no one played, and Sony even went
18:48as far as offering refunds for the few saps who actually paid for the privilege to watch CONCORD flop.
18:54Servers shut down, and so did the studio, and instead of launching a new franchise, CONCORD became
19:00a case study of exactly what not to do, and a lesson that Sony still seems dead-set on learning
19:05the hard way.
19:14PT
19:21Hideo Kojima's playable teaser for the Silent Hills reboot that never happened is still one of the
19:27best horror spaces anyone has ever built, featuring nothing more than a hallway, a radio, and a loop
19:32that gets worse the more you pay attention. Konami pulled it from the PlayStation Store in April 2015
19:38out of pure spite after their messy split with Kojima, and later made it impossible to re-download
19:44even if you had owned it, which turned a demo into contraband. Without a PS4 that still has the
19:50original install and a drive that has never been wiped, there's no real official way to relive the
19:55hallway. D-listed is too small a word. Konami squandered all the fan goodwill and potential relaunch of one of
20:02their flagship franchises for the sake of a temper tantrum over a bad breakup.
