00:14South Australia's oldest operating Heritage Railway, which runs between Quorn and Port Augusta, is popular with tourists.
00:21We get people from all over the world coming to travel on the train and we get a lot of
00:25repeaters as well.
00:26But it's not often you see these passengers on board the Pitchy Ritchie.
00:30Jenny Reschke and her horse used to ride the train before it stopped offering horse transport around 2008.
00:37I went and asked how hard it would be and they started gathering bits and pieces of information for me
00:42and I thought this is not too bad, I'll go in and try and organise it.
00:46With Ms Reschke's support, the horse service ran as a one-off in 2022 and 2024 and again this year.
00:53I love showing our horses off to the community and other passengers, there's something different for them to see.
01:03More than 30 horses boarded the traditional stock carriages which have been restored by volunteers.
01:09And after a scenic train ride here to Woolshed Flat, they're now going to head through the ranges on horseback.
01:14Two years ago we were in a very heavy drought, very solid and this year we've just been so blessed,
