00:01Hello, everyone. Welcome again to Truth As It Is. I'm Trish, and I'm going to be talking about how to
00:12raise your children. Just talking about children in general.
00:17And if you like my video, please link, subscribe, and hit that bell because you're not going to want to
00:27miss anything. Okay? Okay, let's go. Let's read Proverbs 3 and 5.
00:35It says, Trust in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not unto thy own understanding. All thy ways
00:43acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
00:47Okay, let's go read Deuteronomy 6 and 7. Let's go to Deuteronomy 6 and 7. And it says,
01:14Okay, almost there. Deuteronomy 6 and 7 says,
01:22And these words which I command thee this day shall be in thy heart, and thou shalt teach them diligently
01:31unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the
01:38way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
01:43I mean it's teach your children this Bible. Talk to them day and night. And basically, just spend some quality
01:53time with your child talking to them about this Bible. Okay?
01:58Okay? Let's move on to Matthew 19 and 14. Let's go to Matthew 19 and 14.
02:19Matthew 19 and 14 says,
02:23So, Christ is basically saying, Don't come to him with no mess. Make sure that you teach your children what
02:44they need to know as far as this Bible goes.
02:46So, always be talking with your children. Because if you're not, remember the drug dealers, the crackheads, the alcoholics, okay,
02:57people that smoke drugs, all those kind of people are out there waiting for your child.
03:03You don't want your child to fall victim of that. Make sure you spend time talking to your child.
03:08But make sure you also spend time with teaching your child this Bible. Okay?
03:14Let's move on. Let's go to Proverbs 22 and 6.
03:22Because Proverbs 22 and 6 I like. And I'm going to break that one down a little more.
03:30So, that's a really good scripture. All right? Proverbs 22 and 6.
03:42Yes. Train up the child in the way he should go. And when he is old, he will not depart
03:49from it.
03:50So, that is saying, train your child up. Let's read it again.
03:55Train up your child. Train up a child in the way he should go.
04:00Train up your child the way you want him to be.
04:04And if you want him to be an evil person, then I guess you're going to teach him evil things.
04:09But don't do that.
04:10If you want your child to be a good person, then you as parents, we have to set those examples
04:18of that.
04:19Okay? You can't be out in the street fighting and cursing people when your child is there because they're going
04:25to see that.
04:26They're going to mimic that. Okay?
04:28But if they see you being nice and sweet and talking nice to people, they're going to mimic that.
04:33So, it says,
04:36And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
04:40So, when your child gets old, the child is not going to depart from that.
04:46Whatever it is you teach them, real quick.
04:48My mother always taught me, don't curse old people that they will put a curse on you.
04:53I believe that to this day.
04:55Okay?
04:56I won't curse an old person.
04:58Although, they curse me.
04:59But, listen.
05:00You ain't got to fight with no old person.
05:02Just keep it moving.
05:03Just keep walking.
05:05What they going to do.
05:05Although, I did get attacked by an old man in the train station, and he hit me with his cane
05:11when I had my child with me.
05:13That's another story.
05:14But, my mother taught me that.
05:18And the thing is, it stuck with me until this day.
05:22Okay?
05:22So, you got to sit down.
05:24Make sure you spend some quality time with your child over the table.
05:28Y'all having food.
05:29Y'all eating.
05:29And you're talking.
05:30No cell phones.
05:31No TV.
05:33Just real quality time.
05:35Okay?
05:36Let's move on to Isaiah 49.
05:41Isaiah 49.
05:48Okay.
05:49Isaiah 49 and 15 and 16.
05:53It says,
05:54Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
06:00Yea, they may forget.
06:03Yet will I not forget.
06:04Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands.
06:09Thy walls are continually before me.
06:12So, let's read that again.
06:15Can a woman forget her sucking child?
06:17No.
06:18A woman cannot forget her child.
06:20You don't want Christ to forget you, or God to forget you, so you don't forget your child.
06:26That she should not have compassion on the son of her womb.
06:32That you won't have compassion on the son of her womb.
06:35That you won't have compassion on your child.
06:36You want Christ to have compassion on you, so you have to have compassion for your child.
06:41Yea, they may forget.
06:44God is saying, you may forget.
06:47Yet will I not forget thee.
06:49But God is saying, he won't forget you.
06:52So, if he won't forget you, then you don't forget your child.
06:56Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands.
07:02God is saying, he's graving you with the palms of his hands.
07:08Okay, let's read that again.
07:09Behold, I have graven thee.
07:11He has graven you upon the palms of my hands.
07:16Thy walls are continually before me.
07:19All right, so just make sure you continually keep talking to your child.
07:25Okay, let's go to Hebrews 12 and 11.
07:33Hebrews 12 and 11.
07:37Okay.
07:44Hebrews.
07:45All right, here it goes.
07:46I don't do it.
07:48Hebrews 12 and 11.
07:50And it says,
07:53Now, no chastising, no chastening, for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous.
08:01Nevertheless, afterward it yielded the peaceable fruit of the righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
08:10So, let's read that again.
08:11Now, no chastening, for the present seemeth to be joyous.
08:17No chastening because you not chastising your child seem to be joyous.
08:23You seem to maybe like not chastising your child, but you need to chastise your child.
08:31You need to discipline your child.
08:33You need to punish your child.
08:36Not by whipping the crap out of him.
08:38No, you don't do that.
08:40But you have to take things away.
08:43Your child got to know you're the child, I'm the adult, and I make the rules, and you will follow
08:48them.
08:48It's not, oh, I let my kid do whatever he wants.
08:52Oh, my kid say, let's go to the store, I'm going to go to the store.
08:55No.
08:56No.
08:57You're letting your child be the force of you.
09:00You never, ever let your child be the force of you.
09:03Yeah, you can let your child express itself and let your child say things, but when your child becomes disrespectful
09:10to you and you let them, you are creating that monster.
09:15You.
09:15And guess what?
09:17Everybody's not going to treat your child the way you treat your child.
09:21So, you make him understand and learn, respect, little.
09:26Remember, train up a child.
09:29Train on right, discern, right from wrong, okay?
09:33But, grievous, and it could be grievous, okay?
09:38Nevertheless, afterwards, it yielded, it stopped.
09:42The peaceable fruit of the righteousness unto them which are exercised today, okay?
09:48So, the righteousness, the peaceable fruit, which is the child, okay?
09:55Exercise it thereby, okay?
10:00All right.
10:02Let's go to Ephesians 6 and 4 now.
10:13Ephesians 6 and 4 says,
10:18And yea, fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and ammunition of the
10:26Lord.
10:27So, don't provoke your kids to wrath, meaning don't push them too much.
10:35Don't be yelling and screaming and going crazy because you know they did something they wasn't supposed to do, but
10:42you just lost it.
10:43Like, sometimes you can do things like that.
10:46I mean, we've all done it, but it could be the one time where you really lose it and you
10:51just go off and something happens.
10:53And God forbid, you know, you don't want somebody to get hurt, so what you need to do is, God
11:00is telling you, don't provoke them.
11:02You go your way, they go their way, you calm down, they calm down, and then maybe you guys can
11:10talk later.
11:11You know what I'm saying?
11:13You can talk later, okay?
11:17So, that's what you have to do because sometimes when you're angry, words fly, you say things you don't mean
11:25to say, and you know, before it gets to that, somebody just got to walk away.
11:30You calm down, calm down, and then you guys talk about it the next day.
11:34Don't provoke your children to wrath and nurture them by loving them, showing them respect.
11:41They show you respect, teaching them right from wrong, giving them hugs and kisses, telling them, I love you.
11:52You know, y'all really don't understand how important it is for you to tell your kids, I love you.
12:00That three-letter word is very powerful.
12:04I love you.
12:05Do the right thing.
12:06Mommy loves you.
12:07Daddy loves you.
12:08Be good in school.
12:09Be a good boy.
12:11Be a good girl.
12:12You have to talk to your children and tell them these things because when you don't, other things happen.
12:19Okay?
12:20So, every action is a reaction or to every reaction is an action.
12:26Okay?
12:26You have to do these things and then bring them up in the ammunition of the Lord.
12:32Okay?
12:33Okay?
12:34Because that's what God wants.
12:36God wants you to do that.
12:38All right?
12:38And I'm going to say, stay tuned for part two of Children.
12:45And if you like my video, please link, subscribe, hit that bell, because you don't want to miss anything.
12:53Okay?
12:54Okay?
12:55Okay.
12:55I'll see you soon.
12:57So long.
12:58So long.
13:00So long.
13:02I'll see you soon.
