00:00Peyton Tolley appreciation lead from me this morning through an immaculate inning yesterday.

00:10Here is what Roman Anthony said postgame about what Peyton Tolley does for this team and the city.

00:21You see the amount of people that are behind him and the energy he brings to the Red Sox baseball
00:25in the city of Boston and everyone around, they ride for him and we feel the energy when he's on

00:31The minute he takes it, such an amazing person and an amazing teammate who's there for us every single day.
00:36And whether he's pitching or not, he brings that energy.
00:38So it's so fun to just be behind and he's amazing.

00:45I mean, he just is an absolute lovable, huggable character and has the arm to go along with it.

01:05The smile when he figured out that he just had to throw one more strike was fantastic.

01:32he can relieve some of that with kind of the way he is, which I think this team needs.

01:53He's been great in the post season.

02:38We thinking about how tough the schedule is for the next three games.

02:46But then Boomer said this morning that Drake may should not have been so honest after that
02:51interception on Wednesday, Wednesday night.
02:54No, but I like, I like the honesty say, you know what, in that situation, they reminded
02:58me, I completely forgot about it in the moment and was trying to make a play thinking, you
03:04know what, that's what led to the interception, right?
03:07You know, like where I'm sitting there watching this game at home and I'm going, okay, you
03:12know, here it is.
03:13You're already in field goal range.
03:15Field goal ties the game up.
03:16You go into overtime.
03:17Let's call it a day.
03:18Well, 12 left for the Red Sox and day off for them today and then begin the series with
03:26the Rangers tomorrow.
03:28And you got the Rangers, you got the Rays, you got the Guardians, and you got the Cubs
03:35left.
03:36By the way, the Bregman slander must stop.

03:55But either way, we got playoff baseball back, a nice back-to-back wins over the weekend.
04:00And Peyton Tully is, I think, the breakaway star of this season's Red Sox performance.
04:07Well, now you were, you were suggesting Savant wise, uh, that your playoff rotation now is
04:15Ranger Suarez as opposed to Sonny Gray in game one.

04:20I don't, I think you have Schlittler odds in game one.
04:22So might as well give Schlittler Ranger Suarez.
04:25If Suarez is on his playoff game, then you're in it.

04:29So that has nothing to do with Sonny Gray and a sort of struggle of, of late.
04:35It's a compliment to Sonny Gray from my, that's why I'm saying it that why waste Sonny Gray?
04:40It's going to be, I'm almost conceding game one, because there's a, you're, you're not
04:46saying there's a chance they're going to win.
04:47It's like more than likely going to lose.
04:49So now how do I set up my best pictures that way?
04:52But then the issue that that might run into, if you're conceding that, doesn't that mean
04:57you're then putting the guy that you rely on the most to win you game three?
05:03Well, I would say that the guy that I trust the most in a game where there's a lot of
05:07pressure to be at his best and be impervious to it is Peyton Tully.
05:11And I, I don't.
05:12So, so you're saying you're, you're going to rely on him to be the most important game.
05:17But I, this season, I think Sonny Gray has been a better pitcher than Peyton Tully and
05:21I trust him more.
05:22So I would have him pitch ahead of Peyton Tully.
05:24I think you split games, one, one, one of the first two games, game three, Peyton Tully
05:30waiting for you.
05:31I like that.
05:32I like your odds.
05:32That's what I would do.
05:33Probably not what they're going to do, but I'm assuming they're going to pitch Sonny Gray
05:36first.
05:37And who do you think is two?
05:40I think it's probably Ranger Suarez.
05:42See, I go Tully too, though, because to Curtis's point.
05:46Okay.
05:46Because Ranger with a playoff experience, he's really good in the playoffs.
05:50You need to win.
05:51And if you need, you're in a position, you need to win that game three.
05:54Right.
05:54I mean, yeah.
05:56Put that, because if you're, if you're already in the mindset that you're going to split,
06:01the most important game is going to be that game three out of a, basically a three game
06:06series.
06:06So you would want your best pitcher or your pitcher that you felt has the most confidence
06:11once it comes to being in this high level pressure situation.
06:14Not that Tully hasn't been great all year long.
06:17Maybe you go Sonny Gray one, hoping that you can win that game and then Tully two.
06:24And if you can win it great, you didn't even need Suarez.
06:27But if you do split, now you got confidence in Suarez, who's proven that he could do it
06:33in the post season, which would be the most important thing versus Tully would have never
06:38been in this situation before.
06:40I just, I don't think there's like a wrong answer, but I believe that if, if I were in
06:47charge, I would have it as the guy that has the most playoff experience that has been
06:53pitching really well.
06:54Well, Suarez is pitching excellent the last month or so.
06:57And then you have, if you win game one, holy cow, you got Sonny Gray waiting for you there
07:02in game two.
07:02And if it goes to game three, you got Peyton Tully.
07:05I think you just be a little, maybe it'll be, maybe it's, you know, going to be risque.
07:09Breslau doesn't want to make, take a risk and do something like that.
07:11But I would do that if I were the Red Sox.
07:13Well, 12 left in the regular season for the Boston Red Sox.
