Un tragique double accident. Un hélicoptère d’une chaîne de télévision qui couvrait un accident mortel de la circulation s’est écrasé ce mardi 15 septembre sur un quartier de Los Angeles, aux États-Unis. Au moins trois personnes sont mortes dans ce crash, selon les pompiers.

L’appareil de la chaîne de télévision locale NBC4 survolait le quartier de Chatsworth, au nord-ouest du centre-ville, pour filmer le site d’une collision entre un SUV et un bus qui avait déjà fait trois morts et de nombreux blessés.

Des reporters présents sur place ont dit avoir vu l’hélicoptère s’écraser sur le sol à environ un pâté de maisons du lieu de l’accident de bus, projetant d’épais panaches de fumée. Des images aériennes diffusées par les médias ont par la suite montré l’épave de l’appareil, la queue et le rotor déformés dans les flammes.
