00:07Oh yeah, this is the new rose garden that's become so important and so beautiful.
00:14This was a very wet, I'd call it, it wasn't grass, it was really mud for years.
00:19People would stand in the mud and listen to somebody like me speak, and it was not pleasant.
00:24Women in particular were thrilled as they walked in with their high heels and they shrunk about six inches into
00:31the ground.
00:31They walk out holding their shoes. So this works out really well.
00:35And at the end, if you'd like, you can go look at the new heliport.
00:39It's incredible what they've been able to do with stone, with granite, six inches thick, carved with a beautiful eagle.
00:48It's a helipad where the helicopters can land. Never had that before.
00:54And frankly, the new helicopters that were purchased are so powerful that they ripped the grass out.
00:59I said, what about trying to build a helipad? And it really came out good, very good.
01:04And at the very end, if you'd like, when you finish, a lot of people would like to see the
01:07Oval Office, which is right behind me.
01:10And so we're going to have it open and you can walk through the Oval Office and take some pictures
01:15if you like.
01:16Have a good time.
01:17But you'll get to see the Oval Office because there's no place like it anywhere in the world.
01:22There's nothing that represents our country just about.
01:25Here's a beauty and connected to the White House, connected then to the Oval Office, the West Wing.
01:30It's pretty exciting stuff.
01:32So a lot of you haven't been here before.
01:35We're talking about outdoorsmen.
01:37And so we'll show you a very good indoor.
01:40But it's I think you're going to like it a lot.
01:42We've done a lot of work on the White House.
01:44I've resurfaced.
01:45The exterior was in bad shape.
01:47Very, very bad shape.
01:48I get I have a lot of fun.
01:51Don't devote too much time to it.
01:53But I know what I'm doing when it comes to that.
01:55And if you look at it, it's in perfect shape now.
01:58It was in really bad shape.
01:59I don't want to even discuss it.
02:01It was so bad.
02:03Moldings falling off the building, moldings off the building for 24, 25 years in some cases.
02:08And it was all replaced.
02:10And we'd make copies of the one on the other side.
02:13It have a window with a molding on one side and the molding on the other side had fallen off.
02:18Other presidents were not big into it.
02:20I can tell you Joe Biden definitely wasn't.
02:23And we made it beautiful.
02:25It's a beautiful building now.
02:27It was in bad shape.
02:28But now it's in beautiful shape.
02:30It's in better shape now than when they built it in 1792.

02:36But tonight I'm thrilled to welcome to the White House a group of true American patriots,
02:40our great hunters, fishers, and outdoorsmen.

02:54But I want to thank Secretary of Interior, Doug Burgum, who is, by the way, doing a fantastic job.

03:07You know, he's fixed along with all work together.
03:1082 statues, monuments, fountains outside and all over Washington.
03:16They were neglected for 40, 50 years in some cases.
03:20We had one that was over 70 years.
03:23Nothing was there.
03:24They were terrible.
03:25They had graffiti stained.
03:27They had grass growing through the cracks.
03:29They were in horrible shape and embarrassment.
03:32Now they're beautiful.

03:35And that's a lot.

03:38But it's incredible what you've done.

05:13A special thanks, I'd like to make this very strongly, too, to the president of the Congressional
05:19Sportsman's Foundation, Jeff Crane, who will be retiring in December after 25 years of doing
05:26a fantastic job.
05:27So, Jeff, congratulations.
05:31You're a young guy.
05:32What the hell?
05:33He's retiring.
05:34But what about me?
05:35I'm a little older than you.
05:37You're going to retire 25 years?
05:39You look like you're 45 years old.
05:41It's ridiculous.
05:42But you'll go into other things, I guarantee you.
05:44You've got a lot of time left, Jeff.
05:47Just a short time ago, I signed two executive orders that deliver something that everybody
05:52at this event was fighting for for years.
05:56And it's historic victories for the American sportsmen.
06:00With the first order, we're opening up millions of acres of federal land for our hunters and
06:05fishers.
06:06And Doug and his group really worked hard on it.
06:09This builds on our actions.
06:11In August, that opened up another 92 million acres of federal land across 32 states.
06:18Does anybody have any idea?
06:20You know, when you say, I own two acres, and everyone says, well, he's really rich.
06:24Ninety-two million acres of federal lands across have been opened up.
06:30Under the Trump administration, we believe that public lands belong to the American people
06:34and to the public.
06:35And hunters, fishers, and outdoorsmen should be able to access them.
06:39And they weren't able to.
06:41They'd be arrested if they even walked onto a certain property.
06:45And this order also protects the use of affordable, traditional, well, this is pretty good.
06:51I never knew this was a problem, Doug.
06:53You're going to have to educate me.
06:54But you put it in.
06:56Lead ammunition.
06:57Is ammunition, lead ammunition was a problem, huh?
07:00Is it better than other ammunition, I assume, huh?
07:04That's pretty good.
07:05I don't know what the hell that means.
07:06But I know one thing.
07:09You wanted it.
07:10You wanted it, and I'm here for you.
07:13So it orders it.
07:17So the order protects the use of affordable, traditional lead ammunition.
07:21That sounds good to me.
07:23As president, I will always protect your Second Amendment.
07:26On day one, I ended Joe Biden's war on gun owners.
07:29That was a war.
07:31And National Rifle Association, we worked together.
07:34But we all worked together.
07:36Everybody worked together.
07:37It was terrible.
07:38But it was an absolute war.
07:40I abolished Biden's so-called zero-tolerance policy that put law-abiding gun dealers out
07:46of business.
07:46They were out of business.
07:48And I eliminated the $200 federal tax on suppressors.
07:53I restored gun rights to more than 70,000 American veterans.
07:57And I terminated America's involvement in the United Nations Globalist Register of Conventional
08:04Arms, which was an absolute disgrace.
08:06And the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed on at all.
08:12And we have orders in that are so strong that even somebody someday following me is going
08:16to have a hard time breaking it.
08:17And so congratulations, everybody.
08:21And we have that signed right here.
08:25And nice signature.

08:40The second order I signed today eliminates absurd federal regulations on our saltwater
08:46anglers, boaters, charter captains, and coastal communities.
08:51Something you've been after for, they say, 28 years.
08:54I don't know why 28.
08:55Why is it so accurate?
08:56But they had a long time ago a little restriction.
09:00And then they opened it.
09:01And then they restricted it for many, many years.
09:03The Biden administration tried to bludgeon the boating and maritime industry with a ridiculous
09:09boating speed limit of no more than 10 miles per hour.
09:12That doesn't sound very exciting.
09:14Can you imagine?
09:16You're going out 2,500 miles, going 10 miles an hour.
09:20I saw that.
09:21I saw it recently where some boat owners came up to me and they thanked me so profusely.
09:2710 miles.
09:27I said, tell me, what's 10 miles an hour in a boat?
09:29He said, slow.
09:31Very slow.
09:32It would take them six hours to get to their fishing location.
09:35And by the time they got there, they were exhausted.
09:37They wanted to come back.
09:39It is crazy.
09:41Well, I guess they had 10 miles.
09:42They didn't want to hurt something in the water.
09:45They didn't want to hurt sharks.
09:48It's unbelievable.
09:4910 miles per hour.
09:50But just as I promised you in the campaign, we're eliminating those restrictions and we're
09:55doing it immediately.
09:57And the American boaters can now once again enjoy the open ocean.
10:00And you can go slightly faster than 10 miles an hour, like 120 miles an hour if you're
10:05crazy.
10:06But you can go as fast as you want.
10:08And we have that order.
10:09It's all signed, sealed and delivered.
10:11You're all set to have it.
10:13And so congratulations.
10:14I hope – don't hurt yourself.
10:16Don't go too fast.
10:18Don't go too fast, Johnny.
10:19Keep them slow, Johnny.
10:22But it's an honor to do it.
10:24You know, it's common sense.
10:25We won with common sense.
10:26This stuff is common sense.
10:28They also, as you know, they wanted to make all boats electric, only electric.
10:34And you remember during the campaign, because I went to a great boat owner and a boat company
10:39in South Carolina and stopped by and they make boats, mid-sized boats.
10:44And I said, so what's your problem?
10:46They talked about, well, the speed limit.
10:48And at that point, it was three miles an hour.
10:50They wanted to go three miles an hour.
10:52And after you got like 25 miles out, you could go a little bit faster.
10:56I said, that's crazy.
10:57What's your bigger problem?
10:58They said they want all boats to be electric.
11:01I said, how does that work?
11:02Not well, because electric is about three times heavier than your similar power if it were operated
11:10by gas or gasoline.
11:12And they said, well, let me ask.
11:14And I got myself into a lot of trouble.
11:16The fake news said, why does he say a thing like that?
11:19I was only kidding, but not really.
11:21I said, what's the biggest problem?
11:23He said, the weight is enormous.
11:25We can barely carry that much weight because, you know, electric is a much heavier form of
11:31propulsion.
11:33And they said, the weight is enormous.
11:36I said, let me ask you a question.
11:37If you get a little leak and the water starts coming in your boat and you're in electric,
11:42do you get electrocuted or not?
11:43He said, you know, nobody's ever asked me that question.
11:46And I said, so here's my question.
11:48You remember this?
11:49I used to say it during the campaign, driving the press crazy, but people found it sort of
11:53amusing.
11:54I said, so if I'm in an electric boat and I see I'm going down and the water is pouring
11:59in, so I know I'm going to be electrocuted.
12:02But five yards away, there are sharks.
12:05Do I take the electrocution or do I go swimming with the sharks?
12:09And you know what my answer was?
12:10I'll take the electrocution.
12:12OK, I'll take the electric.
12:14But he didn't know how to answer the question.
12:16He said, no idea.
12:19And but what I did do is it didn't matter because I ended that nonsense.
12:23That was another mandate.
12:25They had to have all boats be electric.
12:27And I asked the guy simply, I said, well, is it good?
12:30He said, no, it doesn't work, sir.
12:31So when he said that, that was good enough for me.
12:34We opened it up and now you have the best of all worlds.
12:38You have any kind of and by the way, if you want to buy an electric boat, you can buy
12:42an
12:43electric boat, but you're going to go traditional and you have no restrictions.
12:47This order also expands fishing seasons and fishing quotas.
12:51Undoing another Biden disaster.
12:53That means you can sell a lot of fishing rods.
12:55Johnny, you're going to sell a lot of rods.
12:57I could have made it so you couldn't sell.
12:59You couldn't sell anything.
13:01I could have banned fishing.
13:03I'll tell you what.
13:05The power of this office is crazy.
13:07I could have banned fishing and driven Johnny right the hell out of business.
13:11OK, I think I'm going to do that just maybe just a quick order just for a day or two
13:17until
13:17he calls me and he says, please, President, please, you're putting me out of business, sir.
13:23Anyway, but since I took office, we've delivered historic levels of funding and wildlife and
13:29sport fishing restoration grants.
13:32We gave tremendous grants to for restoration, wildlife and sports fish and approved all state
13:38permits for the 2026 red snapper season approved way ahead of schedule.
13:47And we also strongly support your duck hunters.
13:50The duck hunters thing is a big deal.
13:53And they came to us and they met with my people and they came to me, my people.
13:57And we are fully in favor of our duck hunters.
14:01Who would think that's a big deal?
14:03But I hear I got 100 percent of the duck hunters vote.
14:06Right.
14:06What did I get there?
14:07100.
14:08If there was 150, I would have gotten 150 percent.
14:12I mean, the competition wasn't that tough.
14:14But America's outdoorsmen have not had a better friend in the Oval Office for many, many years.
14:21I probably the late great president Theodore Roosevelt was very good.
14:26And my first term, I was proud to sign the Great American Outdoors Act, the single largest
14:31investment in our nation's national parks and public lands in American history.
14:36That's the biggest investment in American history.
14:39And I look forward to signing.
14:43And I look forward to signing the Great American Outdoors Act, too.
14:47So that's two point oh.
14:49At some point in the very near future, we're working out the final details.
14:52It's going to be something that's going to make you very happy.
14:55But I'm not doing it to make you happy.
14:57I'm doing it to do what's right.
14:59It was crazy what they were doing.
15:00These people had no idea.
15:02They had no clue what they were doing to you.
15:05And so many people was just terrible and terrible for our country.
15:08And we'll continue to work with farmers and ranches to strengthen habitat and conservation
15:13efforts.
15:14And for generations, our hunters and fishers and outdoorsmen have been part of a tradition
15:20older than our nation itself, actually substantially older than our country itself.
15:26250 years from Davy Crockett to Daniel Boone to Teddy Roosevelt.
15:32We've always been a nation that loves the outdoors.
15:35And with patriots like you, it'll continue for a long time.
15:39So I just want to congratulate you all on your tremendous success.
15:44There's tremendous success on this beautiful stone surface.
15:47There's tremendous success.
15:48And you've done an incredible job.
15:50And we're going to hand you a little coin as emblematic of your visit.
