00:32I think I feel very comfortable here.
00:36Ever since I moved here, I felt really settled straight away.

00:43from everyone here in Munich really have made me and my family feel so welcome.
00:48So I think it was easy to kind of take that onto the pitch.
00:52And then, yeah, I mean, look, we've got a fantastic team.
00:56I'm surrounded by amazing players.
00:58We have a top, top coach who is obviously getting the best out of me
01:03and the team right now.
01:05So, yeah, I just feel like I'm constantly learning and improving
01:09and I've been able to score goals throughout my whole career.
01:13But now, you know, in this situation with this team,
01:16it just seems to be flourishing more than ever.
01:19and I'm loving every minute.
01:21Flourishing too for club and for country.
01:24It's remarkable to even look at the stats and believe them, Harry.
01:2873 goals and eight assists for club and country.
01:32It's earned you the honour of winning the European Golden Shoe for the second time in your career.
01:39And what does it mean to you being linked with the Ballon d'Or as such a heavy favourite?
01:44And what do you remember of the award when you were young and aspiring to greatness as a player?
01:50Yeah, obviously really proud to be in this situation.
01:53Last year was my best year in my career for sure, both individually and from a team point of view.
02:00So, yeah, obviously the Ballon d'Or is the biggest individual prize there is.
02:04So for me growing up, I guess, you know, especially in the Ronaldo and Messi era,
02:10it seemed like those two were just going back and forth and putting up numbers that,
02:15you know, last season I was able to reach, which was extremely pleasing.
02:20So, yeah, that's what makes, I think, football great is all these different opinions on players.
02:26And from, I guess, our point of view, we just have to do our talking on the pitch.
02:31Vincent Kompany freed Kane to unpick low blocks, pairing striking with box-to-box midfield duties,
02:38Stats Sports tracking revealed Kane regularly covered 11 kilometres,
02:43crushing the 9.4 kilometre average peak and helping the Golden Shoe winner to score in every Champions League round.
02:51And at 33, he isn't slowing.
02:55Your accelerations are up 42% over six seasons.
03:01How are you managing that at 33 years old?
03:04Yeah, it's just, again, that constant, I guess, effort to improve.
03:07I feel physically at the best condition that I felt throughout my whole career, if I'm totally honest.
03:14And I think you're seeing that with all those things, accelerations and distance covered and high-speed running.
03:21Can you score in more Champions League games or more knockout games and all these little details?
03:26And like I said, from that point of view last season was really pleasing.
03:30How does Vincent Kompany push on and go that one-stage football further and claim the Champions League prize?
03:38Because I know what a big, big drive that is in the dressing room at the Allianz.
03:42Yeah, no doubt.
03:44Again, it's the start of a new season, bottom of the mountain, everyone starts equal in the Champions League.
03:49And we had an extremely good run last year.
03:52We beat some big teams.
03:55We come extremely close against PSG, who are obviously back-to-back champions.
03:58So they're one of the best teams in recent history.
04:01So, yeah, the boss has already spoke about that with the team and how he wants us to get better.
04:08Also, we've done a lot of great things last year.
04:11And it's about maintaining those and pushing those standards to make sure that that doesn't drop.
04:15Everyone is drawing parallels between Paris Saint-Germain and their transformation.
04:20And Bayern Munich, what's happening, Vincent Kompany coming in to Meccano.
04:24and how they are, that central defensive solidity and then the flair up front with yourself.
04:31And then at least say, do you see the comparisons between the two?
04:35So close, you couldn't have come much closer last season.
04:38Do you feel you're knocking on the door?
04:39Yeah, I think we've played each other quite a lot, actually, since I've been at Bayern.
04:43And it's fairly even in terms of results.
04:47Obviously, in the bigger moments right now, they've been able to get the better of us in the Club World
04:52Cup
04:52and also in the Champions League last year.
04:54But, yeah, we play in a similar way.
04:56We have a lot of exciting players, creative players.
04:59We both like to play man for man so the games can be open.
05:03They can be high-scoring like the first leg was last season in the semifinals.
05:08So, yeah, I think when it comes to football, people enjoy watching that style.
05:13People enjoy watching the best players showcasing their abilities on the pitch.
05:18And, yeah, between us and PSG, we're very similar in a lot of aspects.
05:23So, you know, we just have to give credit to them for what they've achieved the last two years.
05:28You can only take your hat off and applaud them.
05:31But from our point of view, it needs to make us, you know, even more hungry to try and be
05:36more successful
05:37and try and be the champions of Europe.
05:39Can I ask you to pick out some of your most memorable goals?
05:45Oh, well, to be honest, the hat trick in the Cup final recently for Bayern was one of my favourite
05:51games ever.
05:51And, yeah, to share that moment with the fans in Berlin and do that was really special.
05:59Also, the goals in this World Cup were really special.
06:02The Congo, the two goals against Congo, the penalty against Mexico away at the Azteca.
06:09So, just, yeah, memories for sure I will never forget and feelings that I will never forget.
06:13You know, you take it all the way back to my England debut.
06:16That was still one of my proudest and most special nights of my life.
06:21And that was for sure a dream come true and to do it at Wembley and coming on for Wayne
06:26and scoring so quickly was just, yeah, everything I dreamed of.
06:31And, yeah, there's stuff along the way I'm sure I'm missing at the top of my head.
06:36But many, many great moments and, yeah, like I keep saying, hopefully many more to come as well.
06:41And for England, it's been remarkable.
06:43You are now the record outfield appearance holder for England, eclipsing Wayne Rooney, of course, in that semi-final.
06:51How do you look back on a World Cup where you went so far and came so close?
06:57Yeah, I think we can be proud of a lot of things.
07:00You know, we spoke about it after our highest finish in 60 years and, you know, a lot of great
07:06moments, a lot of hurdles that we had to overcome.
07:09And we've done that extremely well.
07:11I think it's always bitter a little bit when you go out in a semi-final.
07:15And, of course, the way we went out as well, I think, was the hardest bit to take.
07:20But, yeah, that's football at the highest level.
07:23You know, you can be punished when you're playing against the best players in the world.
07:27And that's exactly what happened to us.
07:29So, yeah, for now, it's just to try and take, you know, the positive things from it, learn from the
07:35things we know we can improve on.
07:37And, you know, we'll be meeting up again in, what, two, three weeks and starting a Nations League campaign against
07:43the world champions against Spain.
07:45So, again, tournaments come thick and fast.
07:49We've got Euros at home in a couple of years and that's where the attention needs to turn to.
07:54So, you know, I loved almost every moment of the summer until, obviously, the final game against Argentina.
08:03But, you know, a lot of great memories that will last a lifetime of some of my teammates for sure.
08:10Can we look back on your remarkable career?
08:12It's been wonderful to watch it, Harry, from my perspective.
08:14But looking all the way back from that horrific moment when you were released from the Arsenal Academy to then
08:20going on and being declared a one-season wonder as you hit the ground running at Tottenham to then becoming
08:27England's all-time leading scorer, record outfield appearance holder, golden shoe winner.
08:33Talk to us about the highlights that flashed between your eyes when you think of that career.
08:38Yeah, you know, I think that's part of everyone's journey and for sure was mine of the ups and downs.
08:44You know, all the, I guess, downs that happened, especially early on in my career, I think helped shape me
08:51to become the player that I became and obviously the person I became as well.
08:56So, it's very rare you have a career at the highest level without having tough times to go through.
09:03But I'm extremely proud of the career I've had so far.
09:08You know, managed to fulfil a lot of dreams from a young kid that didn't feel too long ago.
09:15I try and just always remember what it was like to be a young fan and to try and take
09:20it all in because the season's come so quick and you play so many games.
09:24It's hard really to, I think, process everything you achieve in one moment and I've said that before, maybe when
09:29you stop is when you actually fully appreciate it.
09:33But I think it's just when you have the mindset to just constantly improve, which I think all the top
09:38athletes in all sports do, it's just about the next thing and the next thing.
09:43So, yeah, whenever, you know, like the golden shoe recently, I try and savour the moment.
09:50I try and spend time with the family and celebrate it and all the people around me who make it
09:54possible as well.
09:55And, yeah, that's important to do that.
09:57But then ultimately it's about, you know, the next game, the next moment, which was Dortmund and now obviously starting
10:03the Bundesliga season again.
