00:00When Better Call Saul was going through the award circuit, there were so many headlines about how the show wasn't
00:04winning these awards and, you know, was getting the nominations.
00:07And I know, I wonder just how you feel now knowing that Vince wrote this character for you and just
00:14how you reflect on your artistry and your journey now being in this moment, having won your first Emmy.
00:22It's, I mean, it's hard to talk about without getting choked up.
00:29I already won when Vince Gilligan called me and said, I wrote something for you.
00:33I'm highly aware of that.
00:36But all the work I did on Better Call Saul and all of the work that my cast and crew
00:41and all of the artisans that worked on that did, I always thought they were deserving of everything.
00:46But there's a lot of great shows.
00:48So it wasn't ever like that person shouldn't have won.
00:51So now to be standing here knowing that he wrote this for me and then started getting those scripts.
00:57And I was like, oh, oh, I'm, oh, I'm doing a lot.
01:00Okay.
01:01And just to be able to lead this incredible group of people, some of whom I have been with all
01:06the way through Better Call Saul.
01:07I mean, like really 90% of my crew and Vince I've been with for over 12, 13 years working
01:13together now.
01:13So to shepherd and try to get across his vision for this very peculiar, interesting show that demands and and
01:26believes in the intelligence of the audience.
01:29It's it's been amazing because, you know, it was it's a weird show and we weren't sure how it would
01:34be received.
01:35And then and then it got the reception that it did.
01:38So this is this is pretty crazy icing on that cake, to tell you the truth.
