00:00Former Tottenham and Everton winger Andros Townsend was bizarrely run over by a roller
00:05as he was warming up for a game in Thailand. Over the break, he was in the United States
00:10covering the World Cup for ITV and made headlines for some of his diet choices during the tournament.
00:16Incredibly though, on Saturday, he narrowly avoided serious injury when he found himself
00:22under a pitch roller while he warmed up at halftime. Footage showed the driver of the
00:27rollers struggling to control the vehicle, with Townsend kicking a ball away, not looking in that
00:32direction, and the crowd gasped. The roller then hit Townsend and he fell to the floor, with the
00:38roller literally going over his legs and lower body. Incredibly, he walked away unharmed and came
00:44on as a substitute late in his side's 3-0 win. He would later share a video of the incident
00:50on his
00:50Instagram page.
