00:38Anwar rejected claims from former allies that Pakatan Harapan was behind the decision, maintaining it was wrong to suggest he
00:46had paved the way for Najib.
00:48He added that decisions on pardons fall under the discretion of the sultans, heads of state, or Yangdipetuan Agong, in
00:56line with constitutional principles.
01:00Anwar said his earlier views on Najib's pardon were not meant to influence the decision, but considered ongoing court cases,
01:08the substantial fine, public confidence in the justice system, and international perception.

01:24Anwar added that the government remained firm against corruption and would ensure cases involving abuse of power were investigated and

01:36Najib will serve the remainder of his six-year sentence under house arrest until August 23, 2028, subject to a
