00:42These are all crystallized gown and soropsy crystals with a laser cut pattern.

02:20Right, before starting a collection, Chris, saan usually nagagayang yung ideas mo or inspiration?
02:25Paano yung designing process mo, Chris?
02:27Actually, as a designer, I always believe that learning is the most important thing.
02:31You shouldn't stop kung ano lang yung mga nakikita mo, nalalaman mo.
02:36But the most important thing is that we need to be educated through and through.
02:39Kasi passion is changing, everything is changing.
02:42So, we, as a designer, we should learn every day.
02:46So, that's true naman.

02:47So, that's where I get my inspiration.
02:49Actually, in any profession, we are continuous students.
02:52Sabi nga yan, no?
02:53Well, gaano naman kalaga yung pagkakaroon na yung signature style.
02:57And is this really your style sa lahat ng creations mo?
02:59Or what are your themes ba ganda?
03:01Well, actually, the gown, because my background also, I used to work in the Middle East for 10 years.
03:07Okay.
03:07So, as you can see here, most of my designs talaga is more like an Arabic touch.

03:13From the lines of Michael Cinco, Cari Santiago, those were the great couture years here in the Philippines to begin
03:20with.
03:21So, our lines might not be similar, but we have the same touch as what you call the Arabian style.
03:28Paano mo naman ini-incorporate yung touch of Filipino craftsmanship?
03:32Well, we Filipinos known for our being kind of conservative at the same time being playful.
03:37So, even though how the gown looks, it should be that it should be more Filipino rather than losing its
03:45identity.

03:46Also, Chris, nakita namin that you take pride in Bulawan or Gold.
03:50Yes.
03:50Actually, I have an upcoming show on October 28th.

03:57October 28th is called the Layag ng Pamana.
04:00My segment will be, the title is Bulawan.
04:03So, it will be a new collection which incorporated with the gold of the pre-colonial Spanish era.
04:10So, I'm very excited in it.
