00:08places in this part of the island the cemetery overlooking the sea i came here with a very
00:16specific intention to connect with the spiritual energy of saint francis and ask what messages
00:23might come true what i received was unexpected the messages were not simply about saint francis
00:31or the past they seem to speak about humanity the world we are living in now and what may be
00:39coming
00:40next some of what came true felt remarkably prophetic so today i want to take you with me
00:50into this extraordinary place and share with you exactly what i received

02:24according to the corsican tradition around 12 14 12 15 saint francis of assisi was traveling
02:35from spain toward italy when his journey was interrupted by a violent storm
02:44his boat reached bonifacio in terrible condition the traditional story described francis as sick
02:52exhausted and soaked wearing the simple rough robe of a franciscan friar he went looking for shelter
03:01according to the letter according to the letter according to the letter according to the legend it came to the
03:05cotarena
03:06sant giliano area where there was a religious establishment
03:12he knocked on the door and asked for hospitality but the priest who answered the door did not recognize him
03:21and this is where the story becomes particularly powerful the priest allegedly refused to give francis a bed
03:33instead he told the exhausted traveler that there was a cave nearby where he could shelter for the night
03:42so francis so francis went into the cave and he slept on a stone then comes the miracle
03:52according to the legend during the night the storm suddenly subsided
03:57a local shepherd approaching the area supposedly saw something extraordinary a brilliant star above the cave
04:08and two luminous angels
04:14those angels were guarding its entrance
04:18when the morning came the angels and the star had disappeared but something else had changed
04:26although it was winter the vegetation around the cave
04:31was said to have suddenly blossomed flowers appeared bees were buzzing birds were singing the story describes the cave
04:45as being transformed into something almost like a spring garden in the middle of winter the shepherd realized that
04:53something extraordinary had happened and alerted
04:58the priest
05:01the priest came to the cave
05:03and then according to the legend he realized who his mysterious visitor actually was
05:11it was saint francis of assisi
05:14francis refused the bed
05:17this is perhaps the most beautiful part of the story
05:21the priest now understanding who francis was apparently offered him proper accommodation
05:29but francis refused he remained on the stone
05:35why because francis had embraced poverty as part of his spiritual life
05:42the legend has him essentially saving that someone who has chosen poverty
05:49should not suddenly seek comfort simply because he's sick
05:54he accepted only the simple food from the local shepherds bread and dairy products
06:01and the story says that he remained there for three days
06:05comforting people and healing the sick but the story of francis in bonifacio didn't end with those three days
06:15according to the tradition his encounter with his place would eventually become part of franciscan history of bonifacio
06:23the saint julian convent according to the french heritage records is closely associated with francis
06:32fourth stop at bonifacio around 1215 and it's considered one of the earliest franciscan establishment in corsica
06:43and century later something remarkable happened to this landscape
06:50the marine seaside cemetery of bonifacio the one you saw in the video the one that i visited today
06:58also known at the saint francois cemetery or saint francais
07:03was established in 1823 on land adjoining the franciscan convent
07:10including part of the former gardens so the cemetery where i am
07:15standing in the video is not simply an old cemetery in bonifacio
07:22it stands beside a place that carries a century old franciscan memory
07:29think about the continuity a man arrives here during a violent storm
07:35he is refused he refused a bed he's refused a bed he sleeps on a stone in a cave
07:41a legend says that during that night the darkness was illuminated by a star and two angels
07:50a franciscan presence later takes root in bonifacio and centuries afterwards this landscape became the place
07:59of dedicated and remembering of the dead the cave
08:05the convent
08:09the cemetery
08:12three places connected by the same landscape
08:15and perhaps that is what makes this place so intriguing
08:21because the cemetery is normally a place where we look backward
08:26we remember those who can be for us
08:30but standing here i began to wonder
08:34what if a place with so much memory could also make
08:39us listen differently to the future and that is the question i brought with me to the san francis
08:48seaside cemetery what does this place remember
08:53and what if if anything does it have to tell us about the world that we are entering now
09:10the world that we are in the world that is meeting with people
09:30or is it something that we are sitting there
09:42after learning about the story of san francis in bonifacio i wanted to do something very simple
09:52i wanted to sit quietly not in order to perform a ritual not in order to
09:59force anything to happen and not with a preconceived idea of what san francis
10:07was going to say i wanted to listen i came into the cemetery and spent some time simply walking
10:16through it i looked at the graves i looked at the crosses i looked at the small chapels and the
10:26old
10:26stones and of course i could hear the mediterranean sea the wind the birds the sea
10:39and slowly i began to feel that cemetery was becoming less of a place of death and more like a
10:47place of memory there are so many lives represented here people who had hopes people who had fears
10:57people who loved people who lost people who believed they knew what the future would bring and now
11:07their lives have become part of the history of this place so i sat down i closed my eyes
11:19and i began to meditate i didn't ask san francis for prediction about myself i in i asked for a
11:28much
11:28larger question i asked what does humanity need to hear right now and then i became very still
11:41as i sat there i focused my attention on saint francis not necessarily the historical figure that we read
11:52about in the books but on the spiritual presence associated with him the francis of simplicity the francis
12:03of nature the francis who chose poverty over possession the francis who spoke about compassion
12:12the francis who according to the tradition was willing to sleep on a stone rather than seek comfort
12:20and i found myself thinking about the extraordinary contrast between his world and ours francis lived
12:29800 years ago there was no internet there was no artificial intelligence or social media no modern
12:36technology no global communication systems and yet many of the questions he was confronting
12:44we're still very human questions how much do we really need what happens when we become attached to possessions
12:54what happens when fear controls us what happens when we stop listening what happens when humanity becomes
13:05disconnected from nature and as i remained in meditation i felt something shift
13:14the thoughts became quieter and instead of trying to think about what i should say i began to simply receive
13:23impressions through this channeling
13:27i want to make something very clear what i'm about to share is not presented as a documented prophecy written
13:37by
13:37saint francis these are the messages that i've experienced during my meditation my channeling here inspired by my
13:46connection with saint francis in this place in this sea shore seaside cemetery whether you understand that as a
13:56channeling intuition meditation or simply entering a deeper state of trance of reflection it's up to you but these were
14:06the
14:06the message that i received and the first one came through very strongly that first revelation
14:16do not confuse noise with truth do not confuse noise
14:23noise with truth the first message was that if we're trying to confuse noise with truth
14:34we are basically being misguided i thought about the world we live in we have more information
14:42than any generation before us we have news constantly notifications social medias videos like this one
14:52algorithms algorithms artificial intelligence opinions arguments arguments
15:00predictions everyone seems to be talking everyone seems to have an answer and yet perhaps the problem is
15:10not that humanity doesn't have enough information perhaps the problem is that we have forgotten
15:16how to distinguish information from wisdom the message i received was you have forgotten how to be still
15:26and i found that particularly powerful sitting in a cemetery because in a cemetery is one of the few places
15:34where
15:35the modern world becomes quiet it was very quiet there is no rush there no one of course is trying
15:42to sell you
15:42anything no one is trying to click no one is asking you to react the dead don't compete for your
15:50attention
15:51they simply remain and perhaps this is the first lesson before humanity can understand what is coming next
16:00it may need to become quiet enough to hear what is already here
16:09the second message
16:14the age of intelligence
16:18the second message came true and this one surprised me
16:23from saint francis because it was about technology the message was
16:28you will create intelligence
16:30intelligence you will create intelligence before you understand wisdom
16:37and i found that extraordinary because humanity is entering a period in which we're creating
16:43systems and can process enormous amounts of information artificial intelligence can write
16:51it can analyze it can generate images it can imitate voices like mine it can communicate
16:59and the technology is developing incredibly quickly but the question that came through during
17:06the meditation was not will artificial intelligence become intelligent
17:13is will humanity become wiser and those are two different things intelligence is the ability to process
17:22wisdom is knowing what should be done with what you know
17:29and the messages that follow was the test will not be whether machines become human the test will
17:37become whether humans can remain human and that sentence stayed with me will humans remain human because
17:47perhaps the danger is that then machines become more powerful the deeper question is what happens to us
17:55when we have machines capable of doing more and more of what humans used to do
18:03so what remains uniquely human that was saint francis message what remains uniquely human compassion
18:14presence touch love intuition responsibility
18:23the ability to sit beside someone who's suffering without needing to solve them
18:29those things cannot be simply measured by efficiency and perhaps the coming years will force humanity to rediscover
18:37their value
18:40and then i moved to the third message the wave that next expression was connected to water
18:49and that made me sense to me because i was by the ocean and i was sitting here in bonifacio
18:56surrounded by the mediterranean water was everywhere you saw that in the video
19:03and the message was the wave is not here to destroy you the wave is here to move you
19:12interpreted i interpreted that as a message about change we often experience change as something
19:20frightening we want the world to remain familiar we want our relationships to remain familiar
19:28our careers our careers our societies our beliefs our families our identities but nothing stays seal
19:38still the sea doesn't stay still life doesn't stay still history doesn't stay still and humanity
19:51everything is temporary the hard times we're we're experiencing right now won't stay sometimes we
20:02interpret a wave as a disaster because simply we are standing in the wrong place but a wave can also
20:10carry
20:10something forward so the question may not always be how do i stop the wave it may be
20:19what is this wave trying to move me toward and that was one of the strongest feelings i had received
20:27in this meditation
20:29that the future may not arrive as one single event it may arrive as a series of waves
20:37technological waves environmental waves social waves spiritual waves and each one will ask humanity that same question
20:48will you resist change blindly or will you learn how to move with it
21:01and next
21:04the fourth revelation the return to what matters this was a more quieter message for this final message this
21:13fourth revelation perhaps because it was quieter it was the one that stayed with me the longest up until now
21:21it was about simplicity saint francis is perhaps most strongly associated with simplicity with his rejection of
21:31excessive attachment to material possession we saw that with the story of the cave
21:36and during the meditation the message i received received was you have mistaken abundance for possession
21:46we've mistaken abundance for possession we live in a world of extraordinary abundance
21:53abundance abundance but abundance doesn't necessarily mean having more things it can mean having more time
22:00more connection more freedom more access to nature more ability to help one another more awareness more presence
22:12and i felt that humanity may be entering a period in which we begin to question what we have been
22:20taught
22:21to value for a long time progress was only measure but what we can produce our productivity
22:28how much we can consume we either produce or consume how quickly can we move how much we can accumulate
22:38but perhaps another definition of progress will be coming true how deeply can we live how connected
22:48can we become how much could we care how much can we simplify how much can we give away
22:58and this is probably where the spirit of francis becomes relevant again in our society
23:04it not because he predicted our technology not because he could have known the detail of our current modern world
23:13but because the question he represented are still valid and alive today the meditation came to an end and i
23:25remained sitting quietly
23:28i remember looking towards the sea and the final impression i received was about endings we often fear endings
23:40the end of a relationship the end of a career the end of a civilization the end of a familiar
23:51world but the message was
23:54do not fear the ending of the world you knew
23:59every dawn requires a world to end i don't interpret this at all that the world will be ending
24:08i interpret it differently perhaps some version of a world has to end in order for something new to emerge
24:17something better some habits some assumptions the way we measure success the ways we've been treating one another
24:27the ways we relate to nature and perhaps even some of the things we currently believe about what it means
24:35to be human
24:35so sitting there in a cemetery filled with people who lived before us that message felt very profound to me
24:46because every stone here represented an ending but the cemetery itself
24:53is not only about ending it's not only about ending it's also about continuity the people buried here are gone
25:04but their lives continue through memory to families through stories
25:12through the landscape to the landscape to the people who become here and remember them
25:19and perhaps that is the final lesson i received from this place nothing truly exists in isolation
25:28we inherit a world from those who came before us and we leave a world to those
25:37who come after us so the question is not simply what will happen to humanity
25:43the deeper question is what are we creating for the people who come next the next generation
25:56i came to this cemetery looking for saint francis
26:01but perhaps what i really found was a series of questions
26:08what happens when we become too loud to hear
26:16what happens when intelligence grows faster than wisdom what happens when the waves of change arrive
26:26and what happens when humanity finally realizes that having more is not necessarily the same as living more deeply
26:38i don't know whether what i've experienced was a connection with saint francis my own intuition
26:44the channeling the atmosphere of this extraordinary place or some combination of all three
26:52but i can only tell you what i've experienced and what i've experienced was very clear
26:59the message was not one of fear it was not be afraid of the future it was actually almost the
27:10opposite it was
27:12be awake be still listen simplify remember what makes you a human a human being and when the wave comes
27:26learn how to move with it because perhaps the future is not something that is simply coming towards us
27:34perhaps the future is something we are creating right now thank you so much for spending time with me
